I just got a 16 gb SD card from Walmart for $7. I had the original 2 gb card from the 3DS and Animal Crossing New Leaf almost used all of its room. How big do you need of an SD card?

Loving my Xbox One, 360, and 3DS.

I got an 8GB card and have loaded it with tons of DL games and two retail ones along with about ten music CDs and still have a good amount of space.

I have 13 full games on my 32gb card and its storage space is barely scratched. I could fit another 30 games on it easily. Most games are well under 1gb. The only ridiculously bloated game I can think of is Resident Evil: Revelations, which is over 3gb. A few more are around 1.5gb like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Shin Megami Tensei IV.

But yeah, the vast majority are in the 400-800mb range.

I bought a 32GB card, and I like having it, but the last time I did a backup to my computer, I was under 4GB. So, I would have needed a new card over the 2GB that came with the original 3DS, but I will probably never need 32GB of space. Or, it'll hold me for a very long time.

I never "needed" because I still need a better one....
2GB is only enough for Monster Hunter and little else.

I upgraded from the orginal 2GB to a 4GB on my 3DS a while back. So far its been enough for a bunch of eShop games and the two retail downloads I have (Luigi's Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing). But I have been noticing that demos do get it near the limit, so I probably will upgrade again if I decide to get another full retail game. But so far I've been deleting demos after I'm done with them, so I haven't had a reason to upgrade yet.

Not yet but thats cause the only games I have digital are the VC games. All my other games like Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, A Link Between Worlds etc. are all physical.
