Again another pointless thread to kill time and have a smile. So everyone in here thats aged 25+ will have it easier here! What franchises (TV, toys, bands, ...) of the 80ies would you like to see return in a game on the 3Ds and what would it be about?
MacGyver: has to be! Would make perfect sense as adventure game with tricky puzzles thrown into the Mix, heck if MacGyver wasn't so cheesy by today's standards I could even see it being massively successful!
Knight Rider: also a given. Unfortunately everything they ever did with the franchise after "the Hoff"'s time was lackluster at best. I could see it as something like GTA-like only that your trusty problemsolver is your nearly indestructable car instead of your handgun and baseball bat.
Alf - need I say more? This could be revived as a parody on itself and how cheesy the 80ies were all on its own, a few lines of that little muppet still make me chuckle today.
Your turn!

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
Fame - obvious insperation for a dance game (probably better for the WiiU)
Airwolf - cool helicopter cop show. could be cool to use the 3DS accelerometers for shooting bad guys from an above head perspective.
Dukes of hazard - nuff said
A-Team - could be cool as a guns for hire game; while earning cash to buy, build and upgrade vehicles and weapons.

I seriously see the good ideas in all of your suggestions. Hmm I wonder if any indies will ever pick up on something like this. But even if, I guess it would be more of a parody since an indie dev most likely won't be able to afford licensing...

yup, all 10 of us.
There is more of us then you think!!
As for the question. It's not as old but how about Saved By the Bell. It at least started in the 80s. Who wouldn't want to play as Zack or Slater to see who gets Kelly!?!
Also mentioned but the A Team would be awesome!!
Aww Waveboy Small Wonder was the worst acting I've ever seen! No way I want to see that one. Yes Alf was awesome though.
@Tech101
11 maybe? hehe. I've noticed that the majority of the old time VC-Reviews/Nintendo Life users that are still here just post on the site's main articles. I'm sure there are many, just not in the forum. Most of the users in the forum i'm guessing are 18 - early 20's.
Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a new A Nightmare on Elm Street sequal rear it's head someday of course based on the original franchise(1 & 3 would be nice) rather than that abomination that was the remake. eek! As for Saved by the Bell. I wouldn't mind playing as Zach, with screetch being your lacky sidekick who invents new gadgets to help Zach progress through certain stages, while Slater stars as your rival. Ultimately, your main goal is too save Princess pea--I mean...Kelly Kapowski who's stuck in a horrible dream Where Mr. Belding has her inprisoned in an Endless class of detention!....Can you save the girl of your dreams in time before AC Slater? Find out in Saved by the Bell: Detention Nightmare!....All in stereoscopic 3D! ;p Now you're playing with power!
As for Small Wonder, I agree, but it's got so much charm.
That description of Save By the Bell is awesome. I would so play that game!! You need to throw Jessie and Lisa in there some where though.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
lol Hmmm, well since Jessie is the brains, maybe she could provide you with clues as you progress, while Lisa could just be a 'money icon sprite' that you'll need to obtain to put towards Screetch's Inventions again in order for Zach to reach new areas.
That works for me!

Yeah we got all the crap flung our way as far as British and American TV goes with all the shows you guys previously mentioned all thrown into a melting pot of poo with our own garbage... Actually not much has changed these days
@Waveboy Forgot that your Punky Brewser mention was also good. I really loved that show as a kid!
How about add Different Strokes and Silver Spoons oh and Family Ties, Facts of Life , and forget what its called. The one with Justin Batemen and Sally Duncan???
Probably the two games that no one would ever want to see nude codes for.
No unlimited lives cheats here... Every character pretty much on the verge of death as soon as the game starts
3 out of 4 of the Golden Girls have already died already, the only one of them that's alive now is Betty White.
Now if only they could make an Inspector Gadget game that plays like GTA (or at least like in this picture) and still have the humor from the show..........also Inspector Gadget must say "Move the glow"
