Wipe out the endless waves of enemies!
A flight-based action game designed to be easy to pick up and enjoy right away, and playable over short timeframes.
Take advantage of the myriad weapon combinations at your disposal and achieve dangerously high levels of manoeuvrability by disabling your Alpha Limiter to spear your way through waves of enemy attacks.
There are two game modes: "Arcade Mode: Anti-Air" and "Arcade Mode: Anti-Ship". Select your weapons carefully to secure your path to victory!

Before Ace Combat 7 arrived on Nintendo Switch in 2024, Vertical Strike was probably the best aerial combat / flight simulator available on the platform. It's still pretty decent, especially for just a few dollars.
The good:
- Reasonably realistic flight sim physics
- Aircraft look similar to real-world fighter jets
- Dozens of weapon configurations to choose from
- Easy to pick up and play
- Great price

The meh:
- Only two selectable aircraft
- The only terrain is a featureless, endless desert landscape
- Some enemies will just avoid you and your missiles forever, forcing you to give up

Recommended if you need a cheap, quick flight sim fix. If you like this, definitely check out Ace Combat 7.
