I was pleasantly surprised by Retro Highway. It's an endless motorcycle racer with no frills; you ride as far as you can on a road, aiming to avoid obstacles like vehicles, posts, oil slicks, and construction crews. This is reasonably enjoyable, but the real fun comes in the (sorry) Rogue-lite elements: you can collect coins to upgrade your ride from a basic scooter to a high-end Japanese racing bike. You can also earn coins for performing stunts, like flying leaps off of one of the many ramp trucks driving along your route. (This is especially fun on the low-gravity moon course.)

The music is just okay (and there is not enough of it; only two or three very similar-sounding tracks), and there are only six courses available, which you must unlock by completing various challenges. Still, I had a good time in the nearly five hours I spent grinding my way to unlocking everything.

I have a few minor complaints. First: crashing is not always the player's fault. The courses are randomly generated, so you will often encounter an unavoidable obstacle with zero chance to avoid it; for example, an ice patch suddenly appears while you're coming up behind a ramp truck, causing an instant wreck. Second, There is a "ghost" of your past races on each course (not really; its behavior is pretty random), which cannot be turned off and is a bit of a distraction.

All that said, Retro Highway is a decent game at a good price.
