Pinball Spire is a game unlike any other, a pinballvania blending together classic genres - and pinball. Conquer the titular spire as a brave, plucky little pinball called Pip, destined to step into the plunger and explore the inner chambers of a mysterious spire that appeared in their world overnight.
Enter the spire. Inside is a strange pinball maze, full of secrets to unlock, enemies to bump off, and contraptions for the intrepid little ball to interact with. It's not just all flippers and physics either - brave little Pip has special abilities that will play a crucial role in the journey through the spire, towards the challenge lurking at its peak.

Pinball Spire is an enjoyable pinball / adventure game that plays a bit like the underappreciated NES title Pinball Quest. The big difference here comes in three special abilities acquired throughout the journey, which are necessary to advance from one pinball board to the next.
You have indirect control over a pinball through the traditional means of paddles and springs, as well as limited use of those abilities, all of which are necessary to solve simple puzzles and open gates as you progress. A few areas were a bit tricky, and I was occasionally stumped by a missed route that contained a needed upgrade, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward.
It's mostly fun, though the endgame is a bit of a slog that requires replaying all boards, concluded with a somewhat tedious final boss fight. I finished the entire game in 75 minutes.
Recommended if you pick it up on sale.
