In the campaign mode, you'll be dropped straight into a raging war against the Dyxide invaders. Battle for the fate of the Earth over 11 action-packed levels! Along the way, you'll find new weapons and come up against nine ever fiercer types of enemy.
In the multiplayer mode, pit yourself against players from around the world and bet on whether you can beat them all! You'll also be able to train against computer-controlled opponents in Survivor mode. Winning multiplayer matches earns you "credits", an in-game currency that represents your score. You can choose to bet on the outcome of a match, using the credits you've earned. If you win the match, you'll gain extra credits - but you'll lose your stake if you fail!
Game features: 6 arenas, 7 weapons, 6 characters.
Game modes: free-for-all, 2 teams of 2, 3 teams of 2, 2 teams of 3.

Ironfall can't be appreciated in a vacuum - there's probably oceans of better third person shooters out there. But VD-Dev pushed the limits of the 3DS, and they're doing it again on Switch. While the environments look tasty and the demoscene flair is tangible, that always comes with caveats in gameplay that make it droll if acceptable.
