F-117A Stealth Fighter was an incredibly ambitious game when it came to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. More than a year after the Super NES arrived on store shelves, Microprose was attempting a PC-style flight simulator on an aging platform with only four button inputs and a four-direction D-pad on its controllers.

The result is probably about as good as one could expect, and it unfortunately doesn't hold up all that well today in this Nintendo Switch port. But give credit to UFO Interactive; they honestly tried to soup up the presentation with some basic quality-of-life improvements and a perfectly-recreated digital instruction manual.

The core game demands a lot of attention and time, because this is a complicated game. It may indeed be rewarding for the dedicated player who puts in the time needed to come to terms with its complexities, but for the casual first-time player, it's a bit tough to enjoy.
