Qix is a no-frills, single-screen arcade game that sort of created its own genre. You could call it a puzzle game, with the challenge coming from drawing straight lines to create rectangles in order to fill a playfield, while avoiding enemies and obstacles.

The game was very popular in many forms throughout the 1980s and into the 1990s, even influencing screen savers on Apple's line of Macintosh computers. Often imitated in its time, Qix is tough but there is some fun to be had for those willing to keep at it.

Recommended for fans of early arcade games.
