"Burger Time" is an action game released by Data East in 1982.
The goal is to make burgers by stepping on the giant ingredients to drop them onto the plates below.
Defeat the enemy pickles and wieners by trapping them between the burger ingredients!
The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces.
Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.

BurgerTime is a pretty good time, if you're interested in single-screen arcade action platformers from the early 1980s.
There is a little bit of Donkey Kong here, though your player character Chef Peter Pepper is a bit sluggish, and has a limited ability to directly attack enemies; namely, a pepper shaker. Tossing a cloud of pepper at the hostile hot dogs and other food items chasing you around each stage will slow them down for a moment, but you have only a few dashes of pepper at your disposal.
The object of the game, besides avoiding these furious foods, is to complete construction of giant hamburgers. You do this by walking across each layer of ingredients, from the buns to the beef. Sanitation concerns aside, doing so causes each ingredient to fall toward the bottom of the screen, completing the burgers.
That's it. The game is quite challenging, as the enemy food items pursue you relentlessly and can easily trap you if you're not careful.
Recommended for fans of classic arcade titles.
