Going to CEX today to trade some things in. Likely going to come back with Princess Peach Showtime I think.

When not binge-playing sports titles on other platforms.

Started La Mulana 1, love the lack of hand holding.
Old school difficulty with some great puzzles, got pretty far through it so far and I'm really enjoying it.

Also started Dark Devotion after my physical copy arrived this week. I am absolutely addicted to this excellent mix of Metroidvania, rogue like and souls like. It works amazingly.
The weapons have great weight to them, the multiple paths through it each with their own bosses is excellent and the gameplay loop is brilliant.

Also waiting for my copy of Pronty to arrive as well although I already played it digitally, great game that I'll be happy to replay.

Oh yes - played a bit UNO last night in a mate’s Twitch stream. Dark Heresy is Sunday this week because our New Yorker was at a thing last night, so I was able to get in on it. Got done over by a very well-timed red Zero, out I’d have won.

I finally got Breath of the Wild set up on my Deck and oh my God I can't pick my jaw up off the floor. I guess I didn't bother with it since I'd read that you could only get like 40fps and I thought it would be a stuttery 40. But in simple shrines I've gotten a locked 90fps, and on the open world I've been able to get 50 to 55 with compromises. It was so amazing I set it up on my laptop. I can't stop saying oh my God while playing it there. Up to 144fps in shrines and 70 to 110fps in regular surface world. I can't stop playing it on both systems. Next year when Nintendo releases their new hardware (based on my 3 year old laptop graphics card) it will be an amazing treat. I really hope Nintendo makes their next system an open system like Deck, PC, and next Xbox (from the sounds of it) because there is so much awesome stuff coming out that I'd love to be able to sideload and play on Super Switch.
Just today I got to have the incredible experience of playing Majora's Mask at 90fps on Deck and 144fps on laptop. It is incredible! They're calling it static recompilation, and if it is what they're saying it is, then May 10th will go down as one of the best days in the history of videogames. Like, I really might get to play wipEout 64 at 90fps very soon, along with San Fransisco Rush, Tetrisphere, and the rest of the N64 games I've loved for decades. I hope it comes to PS1 also because Jumping Flash!, Gran Tourismo, Wipeout XL, Wipeout 3, and Ridge Racer Type 4 would be incredible at high res and 144fps!
I've also been playing Animal Well and Witchball.
A major thing I've been loving is adding non-Steam games to my Deck and picking artwork and adjusting it. I spend a lot of time doing this! Sister site Time Extension just had an article on Earth Light being translated, so I got it, added it, and found images online to use for the capsule, hero, logo, etc. It's a fun game too, I recommend it! I've made art for Advance Wars Returns, and found great stuff for other games. I love the art I've got right now for Blur, Gran Tourismo 4, and Majora's Mask. Gaming is incredible these days!
Tea of the week is Gokuro Houjicha and amazingly rich and complex Hojicha with top grade leaves added, then lightly roasted. Incredible!
Oh, another amazing peak gaming experience this week: winning the rapier class championship in Wipeout Phantom Edition and having "We Own the Sky" by M83 play as the credits/victory lap sequence unfolded. I put that song in the folder, but haven't listened to it before, so I thought it might have been the actual final credits song for the game, lol. I've got different soundtracks set up on Deck vs PC for Wipeout. And it now runs mostly at 144fps on laptop, but drops to like 130 sometimes and I have no idea why.

Just wrapped up Persona 5 Royal and what a good RPG that was. I’m moving onto NEO: The World Ends With You next.

Still enjoying Endless Ocean Luminous, while the gameplay loop can be repetitive and the story mode is pretty much just a few cut scenes so far, I still find the game enjoyable and have been playing the first online event. I'd like to see them continue to support and evolve the game.

Aside from that, might play some Ghouls 'n Ghosts and still have to finish Penny's Big Breakaway and Freedom Planet 2.

Also realised I have a few 'free' PS1 games on PS4 as I originally bought them on PS3, and they're actually better than the versions I bought years ago as they offer the US version. MediEvil was recently added. That's a good approach to digital retro releases, not asking you to 'buy' them again.

Same as last weekend, Endless Ocean Luminous and Unicorn Overlord.

Circuit Superstars and MotoGP 24 for me, really enjoying both of these games at the moment.

Still playing persona and at this point it has my heart completely I just relate to all these characters so much to a point..just how they feel…I love it! So much so that I’m definitely getting the persona collection! I need to play four and royal after this which I hear such high praises of, I mean are you saying these games get better!? I don’t believe it.

Just finished Sonic Frontiers and now starting The Story Teller.

Paper Mario is done and dusted and I’ve obtained a court order against myself which prohibits me from playing more Balatro. My backlog is overwhelmingly huge and I’m not sure what to choose or how to fill the time until TTYD drops. Perhaps another run through Dark Souls, this time on Switch!

I played through it a while back and loved every minute of it.

My main game these last weeks has been Ender Lilies, but I'm still barely 10h in. I noticed I'd often rather play something else. I am enjoying it, but finding the pace so inconsistant that it often doesn't match with what I'm in the mood for. How weird!

So I have been playing a lot of Tetris 99, Tears of the Kingdom, MK8D, and even got back into Taiko no Tatsujin D&F.

In preparation for the upcoming remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, I've been playing through a great ROM hack of the original Paper Mario that retroactively adds The Thousand-Year Door's battle mechanics into the original game. It's called Paper Mario TTYD64. I highly recommend it if you're a Paper Mario fan.

I'll be continuing Sand Land, Rainbow Cotton, and Little Kitty, Big City this weekend. With a side of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate because that's my favorite game on the Switch.

This weekend, the main game I’ll be playing is Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. When I’m not busy with that, I’ll be playing TMNT: Wrath of the Mutants, with my kids.

@BIG3 Also hoping to continue with playing Stellar Blade myself. Currently exploring the Wasteland area, trying to complete the side quests and find all of the hidden secrets to get the true ending of the game.

I hadn’t really touched my Switch since Mario Wonder and even then it was exclusively in docked mode. But this past week, my wife and I went to Amsterdam for a few days, so I had two four-hour Eurostar rides to reacquaint myself with the OLED handheld.

I played a mixture of Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s, Dead Cells and Vampire Survivors, and I had an absolute blast. So this weekend will be more of the same. Especially Vampire Survivors. Man, that is one addictive game, which at just £3.99, I highly recommend.

I will be playing Tears of the Kingdom for its one year anniversary, and probably some Majora’s Mask as well since I beat Ocarina of Time. Maybe some BotW for the Wii U as well

After a move, travel for work, and a brutal end to a semester, things settled down and I'm playing Trails of Cold Steel III. Still fairly early but enjoying it a lot. It feels good to rest, gaming is a stress relief and also the first thing to get cut when I get stressed 😅

I’m playing Stellar Blade this weekend. My goal is to wrap up my first play-through and start NG+ to obtain the platinum trophy. This game continues to impress, and gets better the more you progress rather than become stagnant like a lot of action games. I’m currently in the fourth region and the meaningful side quests and exploration has transcended my thoughts on this game in a positive light.

I also picked up Crow Country due to all the high praise it’s receiving. I’ve jump (scared) my way into this game last night and it’s fantastic, particularly playing it on my PlayStation Portal. It has that classic Resident Evil feel, with a touch of Twin Peaks, X-Files, and strangely, a low-polygon Final Fantasy 7. Every year there is a game that comes along that is relatively obscure but ends up making a splash, and this game falls into that category.

Got Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot last year but I never tried it until now. I'm having way more fun than I thought I would. Currently going through the Android Saga. Being able to fly around, fight, and just be a Saiyan in an open-world RPG is so great. If the story didn't shoehorn you into using specific characters, the game would be so much better, but it's still amazing as it is.

Playing Metroid Dread and Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled on the side because I just can't get enough of these two games

I'm expecting another stressful week ahead, so my gaming will be focused primarily on the relaxed atmospheres of ACNH and Potions: A Curious Tale.

I also fished out my Megadrive Mini 2 last night and played some Outrun. Not exactly relaxing, but cruising the Highway while listening to Splash Wave is, at the very least, nostalgic.

I don't think I'll be playing anything, I want to buy I can't seem to get into anything, game wise.

I got Fire Emblem engage, Octopath traveller 2, and a few more new games hardly played, including Super Mario Bros wonder.
Ive got Mario the thousand year door on order.

Any suggestions for a short game that I can download till the new Mario game arrives.

I logged into Splatoon 3 to sign up for next week's splatfest.

Got the new theme on Tetris 99 - always a pleasure to return to that game for a quick blast.

Having finished the Side Order DLC with all weapons this week, I decided to return to the single-player mode on Splatoon 2 and see if I could beat that with some different weapons. Already beaten it with 3, working on a fourth now. Honestly, it feels like a bit of a slog compared to the multiplayer modes and the fast-paced nature of Side Order, so not sure how long I'll stick with this but I do like feeling like I've 100% completed a game.

Otherwise, I got the platinum on God of War Ragnarok last week, so I've been working on the free Valhalla dlc. Despite all their current problems (where's the 1st-party games???), I have to give a massive shout-out to Sony for what's got to be the best free dlc I can remember in... ever?

@zool If you've got Mario Wonder and haven't played it, my recommendation is simple: play it.

Witcher 3. The game is massive but not nearly as good as it's made out to be. I'll probably play around with it a bit longer and then find a rogue like to play for awhile.

I still really busy on this weekend, finishing my storytelling project due to next Saturday so I can only play Miitopia Switch version.

I've just finished watching a playthrough of Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth 2. It's pretty sad, having to say goodbye to the cast...I did buy the Apollo Justice trilogy but I'm going to try and hold off on it for a bit so I can make the series last just a little longer. I'm obsessed 😅

In the meantime, me and my brother are playing Miitopia together, and I still dabble with Shining Resonance: Refrain. It's also my daily habit to dip into Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On!

Still in the thick of Unicorn Overlord and excited to start Animal Well soon… mayyybe not this weekend though.

I saw a video yesterday about Saturday Morning Slam Masters, a Capcom arcade wrestling game from the 90s, which also has a SNES port. Found it on Capcom Arcade Stadium 2 on the Switch for a quid and change.

A pretty chilled out weekend for me this week as I'll be playing Tetris 99 for the new Maximus Cup and it's unlockable theme (haven't missed one yet 😄👌), Endless Ocean for it's first event and also Little Kitty Big City!

Just bought super mario rpg and wonder, I think I'll play rpg first and wonder next, although I'm still only about 7 hours in unicorn overlord. Maybe I will alternate between mario rpg and unicorn overlord first.

I'm doing the Tetris 99 event for the Endless Ocean theme. Otherwise, I just got Hades on PC and might play that a bit.

I finished Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story last night. That game was truly as good as I remembered it to be! I’ll maybe start another retro RPG on Delta, probably Earthbound or Superstar Saga.

On Switch, I won’t be playing much due to work all this afternoon / evening and celebrating Mother’s Day, but I’ll use the car ride and time I have this morning to make more progress in Vernal Edge or SMT III: Nocturne HD. I did beat Matador this week, but it was a bit of a grind.

Restarting Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker because it’s an amazing game and I haven’t finished the main game or additional DLC. When will we get a sequel??

Also playing more Endless Ocean: Luminous. It’s such a chill game to sit back and relax with.

I'm going to the beach for a week with family on sunday so saturday i'll spend my time playing fallout 4 and then on sunday i'll take my switch with me and make some progress in fire emblem three houses.

@FishyS Finally someone writing good things about Dragon Quest Treasures! I absolutely adored that game and enjoyed much more than Monsters. Just it was too short.

Thanks Kate for the Crow Country shout out! I liked the demo quite a bit and felt it really captured that PS1 survival horror aesthetic… Keep worrying that at one point a trash can is going to bite my arm off. Hope it lands on a Nintendo console soon, but it just felt right playing it on a PS controller.

Otherwise, still continuing my daily grind of one level of Mameda no Bakeru and learning some possibly true trivia about Japan. Will probably also switch on Animal Well to at least see it in action.

After finishing Super Mario RPG last weekend, I started Owlboy, which seems cool, but since I was also considering starting Fire Emblem: Three Houses, I ended up going back to FE: Awakening which I had not finished. I did chapter 20, and am now on 21 which I’ve had to reset a few times. While I had my 3DS out I also played a bit of Donkey Kong 94. So I guess I’ll have to see which game I stick with.

This weekend I’ll be playing Animal Well over on pc, which has been an absolute blast. Over on PS5, I’ll most likely play some more of the Finals and attempt to finish FF7 Rebirth. On the Switch I’ll continue my playthrough of P5R. I have a bit of a busy weekend ahead of me, as well as Mother’s Day, so happy gaming everyone!

My daughter and I have been patiently waiting for Little Kitty, Big City since its announcement. That’s where we’ll be this weekend. 😊

Another streak of comparatively vast gaming opportunities, with ridiculous appetites to match. The Switch side is ushering in a few more backlog recruits from Tears of Avia, Sparklite and Northgard to Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, Amazing American Circus and... what I planned to be the start of a properly portable Biomutant playthrough before my whim engine veered off the road and careened straight into Monster Hunter Rise instead.😳🤔😅 Other plans include the recurrent faces from Xenoblades, Isaac, Wreckfest and Borderlands 2 to various sim RPGs alongside the likes of FFXII, Poison Control, Tribes of Midgard, Code of Princess, DerQ, Tales of Symphonia and Fire Emblem Warriors.

The list above may well impact my session choices on the other platforms as well, from God Eater and MH Freedom on Vita to Tales of Xillia and Zestiria on Deck (plus Eternia and possibly Innocence on Vita again). I would have probably added even Toukiden to the menu if not for my reluctance to juggle the respective handheld storage space again (but hey, if June Direct were to roll out something like an Exist Archive port...😆). Of course, none of this necessarily rules out the hopes to dip back into the other non-Switch playthroughs from XCX/Xenosaga/Xenogears, Watch Dogs, Nights of Azure and FFXV (the latter just seeing me clock a combined 65+ hours before discovering that you can open the menu and change ally techniques mid-combat😳😅) to NFS Rivals/15, Star Ocean IaF, RE3R and Crew 2 - with a potential side of Valentia, Endless Frontier, Strange Journey and Fantasy Life at that.

Been playing through Hogwarts Legacy on Switch, about 33 hours in. I'm really enjoying it, but it has some pretty massive issues on Switch that make it hard to recommend this version. If it's your only way to play the game, it isn't unplayable. It's a miracle they got the game to run on Switch at all.

But man, the loading times are constant and pretty significant. I knew going into it that entering towns like Hogsmeade results in a loading screen, and that entering and exiting all the buildings within Hogsmeade causes another loading screen (which is bad enough as we're talking like 15-30 seconds each time). But what I didn't know is that several of the doors within Hogwarts itself also have to load for maybe 5 seconds before you can enter them and go into the next room. Your progress is just constantly being haulted while you wait for things to load in.

Textures often take even longer to load in. Walls and other surfaces will look worse than an N64 game for about 10 seconds before the proper textures actually show up a lot of the time. (Which, to be fair, the textures do look pretty good once they finally load in.) The resolution isn't great, even when docked--I don't think it ever hits 720p, so the clarity is probably pretty on par with a Wii game. There's been a couple framerate stutters, but that hasn't been too much of a problem. I've also had the game crash on me twice so far.

When you're out exploring the open world is actually when the game performs the best, though. You'd think flying around on your broomstick overlooking the vast world before you would be the thing that makes the game tank the most, but it's really not. You can tell they put a lot of work into getting this game to function on Switch, so I don't think WB was cheating out. The character models still have a high polygon count and it's impressive to me how much realism they were still able to get out. I do think it may have been best to wait until the Switch 2 for them to port it, though.

It's a great game, though, that really makes you feel like you're in the world of Harry Potter. There's a lot of cutscenea and an overarching story that feels like you're watching one of the movies. I don't miss having the established Harry Potter characters the way I thought I would. There are Merlin trials scattered all over the place where you have to solve little puzzles, very reminiscent of Korok seeds. There's a ton of side quests you can take on and stuff to explore at every corner.

Otherwise, I've been on a big Kirby kick lately and am about to finish replaying Planet Robobot which I only ever beat once. It's a solid game, but I still don't know if I fully get why people consider it the pinnacle of the series.

I'm going to continue playing some more Tutankham (1982 Konami arcade game that just released on Arcade Archives this thursday ) and then maybe later some fighting game (probably Super Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers SNES version over on my 3DS).

I fell off of gaming a bit this past week and it’s a busy weekend, but I’ll try to liberate a couple more Bastorian towns at least in Unicorn Overlord. And enjoy a few games of Arcade Archives Tutankham and Rastan Saga. I love being able to play such old arcade favorites on Switch. The publisher, Hamster, this week celebrates 10 years since the start of their Arcade Archives/ACA Neo Geo series - every week they breathe new life into old, sometimes forgotten arcade games. May their glory never fade!

I am playing Redemption Reapers and this game is an absolute gem. I fricken love it!

I don't know how this game went under my radar initially other than mixed reviews may have hurt it from being talked about, but I stumbled upon it and I'm having the time of my life. It's like a dark walking dead/souls esque game with SRPG combat much more liken to Fire Emblem instead of the usual Final Fantasy Tactics. The animations are so cool and the graphics dark and pretty. The best part is the gameplay. The combat is definitely well thought out. The difficulty is somewhat hard, (but not impossible or unfair) so it requires you to make excellent strategic use of skills unique to characters and their assets, positioning, and being resourceful. This game deserved way higher rating than poor-mid. I definitely get the impression these were people who don't expect games like this to be SRPG and would rather button mash. This game is a genuinely great game that I wholeheartedly suggest to anybody who is a fan of SRPGs, especially Fire Emblem, cos the game certainly took a lot of skills and game attributes from it. I'd say it's an objective 8-9 outta ten, but based on how much fun I'm having for me 10/10.

I'll be tackling the Fire Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I'm steadily moving in the game now, so I'm happy to re-catch my flow. I'll also be playing Vampire Survivors again now that the Contra DLC has dropped. I wanted to download Egg Console Wanderers from Ys since I never played that Ys, but I can't for the life of me understand why D4 won't translate these games.

Super Castlevania-Slogra and Gaibon are tough

Yesterday I woke the Wind Fish and I’m wanting more Zelda. So I just now started a new save file in Skyward Sword HD. I never finished it and while I could pick up where I left off, it’s been long enough where I want to experience it all from go.

I'm still making my way through Unicorn Overlord. Close to 70 hours at this point!

Finally made some progress on Jet Force Gemini (NSO version), Juno and Vela have arrived to Mizar's Palace, only Lupus (the dog) is pending to arrive. After that, I believe there's a "first fight" with Mizar himself.

Continuing my cheating of Mario Party (NSO version) as well.

Beyond that, I also played Tetris 99 to unlock the Endless Ocean: Luminous theme, which I actually did as early as 4am of Friday since it was a free day here in Mexico (Mother's Day) but I was already awake that early for reasons I still don't understand.

When my weekend starts (Monday) I'll try to wrap up the Switch Lara Croft Collection. I finished the first game last week and should be getting close to finishing the second game. Those games really surprised me. Nothing groundbreaking just simple fun.

Once I wrap that up I need to decide do I continue the backlog like I've been doing or circling back to Company of Heroes Collection and finishing the expansions. I had a blast with the main campaign but got kinda burned out about 3 missions into the Opposing Fronts campaign. Those games are huge time sinks so I just moved on but occasionally it nags me that I never finished the expansions. I don't know the main campaign was so engaging but Opposing Fronts just felt kinda "meh" and by the numbers. "We're being attacked over here, send help!" followed by "Oh no! We're under attack over here, send help!". We'll see how I feel when I finish up Lara Croft.

Busy weekend as i have taken on the task of organising a mother’s day celly.
Been playing SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions and really enjoy it. Particularly the combat which is turn based and has a lot of fun stuff turn order and allocating resources. The overworld map is pleasing to look at and locations pop up in a fashion similar to that of a pop-up book. I have a collection of pop-ups and so find this little visual flourish appealing. Anyways, it appears that one plays through a series of campaigns, each focused on a different character. Regardless, i love the game and thanks to those who recommended it.
Almost forgot to grab Eschatos before it went off sale. Qute’s 3rd shmup does not disappoint with nearly seamless level transitions, fun weapon switching mechanics and a simple but enjoyable scoring system that gives multipliers based on waves of enemies destroyed. And the game is bundled with Qute’s first two shmups, M-KAI’s first effort , the great Judgement Silversword and the bizzare Cardinal Sins . Both were Wonderswan games.

Skyward Sword and Fallout 4

Same as last weekend, Pikmin 4! So very much enjoying it, and it should last me until Paper Mario's release.

I also picked up Little Kitty Big City, so I might try that out! Will pick up Animal Well next payday too.

@BANJO I did! Got it for 10 pounds after trade in (though I am convinced they gave me the take away CASH prices on my 2 game trade in, not the voucher exchange rate, it even says so on my reciept...but that is a something I will take up with them tomorrow!).

I have done the 1st floor and the Sword fighter rehearsal on Gold. It is great! Lots of moments that make me smile. Reminds me a bit of Luigi's mansion in ways. I think it plays smoother than the demo version too, which I did feel was a bit choppy. Enjoying it a lot more than anticipated

No games this weekend. Got a 50 book haul just so I am alternating between putting together new bookcases and fawning over my new purchases. As well as planning out my reading schedule. Also had a few CDs come in so I will be ripping and tagging music all weekend.

@Mana_Knight Great, I'm glad you got it. There's a reason it's performing so well in the charts, as it's better than expected. I really enjoyed it, and have put 20+ hours into it. It's certainly well worth getting. I enjoyed the water levels the best.
Regarding CEX trade in prices, yes, it sounds like they gave you the CASH price for the trade-in instead, so a lesser amount. You should be due some money back from that.
I heard the odd person comment on the choppyness of the game, I didn't have an issue throughout, really. It seems to play very solid from start to finish, well at least it did for me..

@jolteon23 I will admit, I was naughty and read up the plot for the game, so I know how it ends and what I need to do to get the true ending. But I will still enjoy seeing it play out on the screen.

It would be interesting to see more games set in this universe. I'd love to see a prequel involving Tachy and her rise to squad commander, and maybe even a sequel where we defeat Mother Sphere and learn why she wanted to wipe out humanity.

Yeah, the gameplay and storyline is a bit generic, but I do see some potential in fleshing this universe out more to really set it apart from other games, especially those in the hack & slash genre, as well as the ones where humanity is trying to reclaim Earth from monstrous creatures.

I would especially love to visit other parts of Earth (such as a polar region or a jungle), and even visit the Colony. There's so much more of this universe to explore, so it would be nice to see more games in this series where we can.

Just finished Prince of Persia this week. Wow. Great game. I didn’t come close to 100% but had a great time. Great platforming, some tough bosses. I love the visuals and the story was good.

Started Song of Nunu, playing WRC 10, Rocket League and Stitch. Stitch is a good chill out game.

Juggling both the last chapters of Unicorn Overlord and Super Mario Odyssey, which I only recently got. Sprinkling in some local multiplayer sessions of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge as well. Glad my little ones are already learning to play simpler games, so their dad now has people to play with.

It's Animal Well, Hades, and Severed Steel for me. All are a joy. If you want a fun movement/arena fps, maybe check out Severed Steel. They finally put in gyro aiming, and it feels great. Nothing feels as good as the Nightdive Quake remasters, and the game would be legendary if the enemies had F.E.A.R ai, but as is it's a lot of fun. They also added a roguelite mode, which I have yet to try but am looking forward to once I finish the (3-4 hour, I hear) campaign.
Animal Well is one I'm going to be playing for a while. All I can say so far is that I'm getting vibes of a less brutal Rain World mixed with the mystery of Fez and maybe even something like La Mulana. Like I said, it will take a while to digest. I'm happy to be on the ground floor with it though.
Hades is Hades. That's good.

@dugan it runs really well this time on the Switch. The handling on this version is the best yet.

After finishing Steamworld Dig 2 in the week, the 3DS xl has retired to its drawer again. Well, hopefully more of a sabattical as I still have games to play on it.

So it’s back to where I left off in Tears of the Kingdom. Lots of adventuring around before I eventually head off towards my 4th temple.

Alrighty another lovely WAYP after another early work shift again hahahaha. Hasn’t been the best week personally but in terms of games I won’t lie it’s been pretty neat. This weekends been full of wrapping up AI: The Somnium Files. That game alone is a 10/10. Just a absolutely beautiful time all around. Excited to move onto Nirvana Initiative during my vacation. Hope we get a AI3 announcement soon too. As for the rest of the weekend I’m gonna celebrate one year of TOTK by going back to Hyrule and just having fun exploring and doing fun quests. And probably another nice solid session of Persona 3 Reload. Still find myself intimidated of that game in many ways but I feel I’ve slotted into a groove there. As for the rest of the week well I go on a 2 week vacation starting next weekend so mostly the plans are to get packing and be ready with downloaded games and the like. I snagged a copy of Story Of Seasons A Wonderful Life the other day so in terms of physical games I’m all set. That game means a lot to me from my childhood. Probably just look to download stuff like Sea Of Thieves on PS5 and Hades on Switch and just pack away some physical games like Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and polish off switch games like NEO TWEWY and Great Ace Attorney. What time I do have outside of that will be playing games like Dragons Dogma 2 and Octopath Traveler 2. Been really meaning to get back to Octopath 2 for so long and I’m hoping now is finally the right shot at this game. Probably also set up Trails Through Reverie to get beaten on vacation too. I have so many excellent gaming plans for this vacation I just can’t wait. Weird special shoutout to the movie My Cousin Vinny as I write this journal it’s on and man it’s just a great movie. Anime choices this week gotta go to Kaiju No.8 and Urusei Yatsura and Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio. Excellent excellent choices for Spring. Podcasts of the week gotta go to the usual excellents like Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Last Stand Media, Nextlander, Kit and Krysta, Easy Allies, Jeff Gerstmann, Second Wind Media and newcomer Cultaholic Wrestling.
