worldstraveller commented on Nintendo's Unity Presentation Confirms Critica...:

@C-Olimar @SageWaterDragon I'm pretty sure isn't because of the lesbian subject alone, there is a lot of other good elements that it has, such voice acting, the amount of detail implemented, the sides stories of the protagonists's parents and nice touches.
I don't think the story is mediocre, since I have seen actual mediocre stories, it's simple, yes, but doesn't mean isn't good, it has nice direction, rest is matter of taste and interpretation.
just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean is terrible, you just don't like the story.
this game depends on tastes alone.
as I said before, one post before, not everyone's cup of tea.
personal tastes is different from quality.

I think the main complain I do actually agree about this is the price, I think is expensive for a 4 hours game where you only interact with and explore the environment, just isn't at a fair enough price, it's too much.
I loved the game, but since I played through "free methods", I don't have to complain about the price.
I do think is a good game but not everyone's cup of tea(all games are the same). If you want challenges then isn't your game, but if you want just interactive and immerse storytelling maybe you will like it.
it's a matter of taste in the end.

worldstraveller commented on Sakurai Explains Why Chrom Didn't Make It Into...:

Robin, as Sakurai says is perfect fit (perfect representation of the series as Tactical RPG and being an tactitian class with huge potential of diversity in movesets), actually it was Robin, the main reason that would motivate me to officially or almost officially being more genuinely interested in Smash Bros and WiiU (which I never played and chance to see what is like, the only Nintendo home console I ever owned was NES), making smash bros having enough library games I'm interested (including backwards compability, making it extensive enough of exclusives I'm interested in).

But I agree with @Splatom @DreamyViridi @DivineStorm , however I don't consider her as bad representation of Marth, but a good representation as female even more being a nice bonus of an alt that got lucky, making it obvious who is the main newcomer, the star of the newcomer trailer...Robin (which I'm quite happy) - even some those who don't play Fire Emblem was interested in him/her.

@Nintendzoey couldn't agree with you more, at the moment would Disney Magical World, just being localized, I would be happy (since I couldn't buy right now, but I would be quite undecided between Fantasy Life and Disney Magical World).

on the subject, not much this week, if they would finally start GBA VC on 3DS, I would be happy.

worldstraveller commented on Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3?:

it was a good E3 Nintendo this year, the games that caught my attention was Splatoon, Captain Toad: Treasure Hunter (and I don't even own a Wii U, though I'm interested as PS4, need a job first before I buy them) and Fantasy Life (this one I want it almost as bad as Bravely Default and Disney Magical World - Nintendo Europe, please localize it).
E3 in general to include would be Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix and Yoko Shimomura and Hiroyiki Nakayama from Square-Enix Presents and the Nintendo events.

As for the complaint about the lack of 3DS, isn't it today they gonna announce the unannounced title of 3DS, anyway? I'm pretty sure, we're gonna have some more.
remember there is also Fantasy Life to talk about that appeared on Digital Event.
but I do agree, Nintendo did came strong, Splatoon, Captain Toad and Zelda caught my attention (besides being attentive to the interview with Co-Director of Kingdom Hearts)

that's really great, specially being a great chance for me to finally play them and it's 3 phoenix wrights in 1 literally, digital only? maybe will be cheaper that way.
I hope it will give news about the localization and not ignoring Europe (since they did with Rune Factory 4, new Harvest Moon coming out and Disney Magical World).

I like her music, just one thing bothers me about her music, is the background music of the violin, I like only the violin parts, it would sound better without the dance-ish genre music background...
I liked the music, just think could do some work and not mix with Shatter Me.

I hope it really gets europe release, I'm really interested in this game really, seems the perfect game to take some breaks from story-driven games on my 3DS, no pressure.

worldstraveller commented on Nintendo Comes Up Empty at BAFTA Awards:

I think some users are being a little too harsh on The Last Of Us, it's a good game and have seen my brothers playing, I didn't play and I'm not interested since it doesn't appeal me and it's not my genre - it doesn't suit my own personal tastes.
just because a game it has good quality, doesn't mean you have to like it.
there is many critically acclaimed games I didn't played because it wasn't my cup of tea and that's from platforms, FPS, TPS, action, adventure genres.
the only genres I'm into it's "cartoon-ish" JRPG, fighting games, puzzles, card games (I love Yu-Gi-Oh).

worldstraveller commented on The 3DS Celebrates Its Third Birthday in Japan:

I was one of those who pre-ordered Aqua Blue in my country, N3DS is my first nintendo handheld (this is someone who never had a chance to afford the previous handhelds, I always wanted to own one), N3DS came at a very good timing, when I recently received my internship, with it's backwards compatibility from expansive good DS librabry and 3DS promising games, I knew I wouldn't regret.

worldstraveller commented on Nintendo UK Launches a New "Nintendo Girls Clu...:

I don't say isn't reasonable, but my problem with this, is that treated stereotypically and separate girls from boys, I don't like that.
even though I think the female audience in general should be more aware of the 3DS, PSP and PSVita potential for them (maybe finally otome games and visual novels would be more localized from Japan, they sell like mad there to the point of turning into anime and manga adaptation), they seriously don't know what they're missing out.
@kamifox1 , I get what you mean, that's one of the problems of "girly girls" - there is perfect kind of games that would sell well for them, by just adding a lot of "romantic games" such as otome games localized and they will get it well sold. Hakuoki Memories is a good a step, but since localized otome games and visual novels is still quite lacking...it won't sell that much.

I gotta go with the exclusives that will help selling the Wii U, like some said it needs exclusives.
as for the gamepad unnecessary, I don't think the Wii U main gamepad is the problem, if you can have a pro controller, then the gamepad supposed "problem" is out of the window.
but the fact they need some games that get creative with the game pad? yes
the gamepad isn't the main problem, many exclusives in many different genres - story exploration, would be neat, also the gamepad would be great influence in RPGs in battle systems and synthesising, all you have to do is be creative, not just practical functions such inventory and map.

worldstraveller commented on Mario And Zelda On Mobile Could Bring New Play...:

I can see selling well on smartphones but won't sell the hardware (I think those that distribute mobile games want nintendo games on their smartphones, because it would be very profitable for them - but wouldn't be for Nintendo).
the struggle with Wii U, I agree with @Nomad - new IPs, VC games and their Nintendo only games.
some companies can be a saviors for the Wii U, Level 5 as one of them (look at what they did with DS), with Wonderflick on the way, it may inspired them, wonder flick is like perfect fit in terms of gameplay for the Wii U (they released a new IP for 3DS), Silicon Studio (since they're doing a sequel of Bravely for 3DS) and some others I can't think of it now.

I do agree with him and true you learn more from your failures than successes, specially those fail hard out of stubbornness (I speak for me and specially my friend).
I do agree most with @JaxonH , I would add the story when we want a good story besides innovation, gameplay and fun.

now this of Disney buying Nintendo, just no, simply no. it's unnecessary,it won't happen either.

worldstraveller commented on Nintendo Has "Great Games" But Is Facing A "St...:

I'm maybe kinda new when comes understanding gaming industry, from what I could grasp it, it would be stupid to put on iOs, it's not only "Nintendo only games" that sells their hardware, it's their also other exclusives, that's what sells hardware consoles (being home console or handheld), 1st and 2nd parties games.
I think the problem with mostly with Nintendo like many said is the network system, in Wii U struggles case, they need to release more games per year in big variety not just Nintendo only franchises (or add new ones too, look at Bravely which is kinda a new franchise for 3DS (Bravely Default and Second) from their beloved 1st party together with 2nd parties.
Wii U in a way is like a home console version of DS/3DS (because of it's gamepad) seeing from this perspective there is a lot you can do with it.
