Awesome looking game, and when I see that cricket bat, can't help but think of Shaun of the Dead.
I think it is crazy though how popular the zombie genre has become, there are so many zombie games, and zombie add-ons for games, it's insane.
I love the genre, been a fan since I first saw Night of the Living Dead as a kid, but wow it's in full force these days.
Funny you don't see games with actual voodoo type zombies, that would be funny...or would it?
Was it just me or did the character in the game have a Wii-U controller to use as a gadget?
Kind of an interesting touch I suppose.
Anywho, I also hope to see Conduit 3 on Wii-U, since I think that series is worth one more game.
Not getting my hopes too high, but would be another awesome title I think, especially with what the Wii-U can do.
Looking very nice indeed, but when will I be able to throw a radish at enemies again?
I know some people aren't too fond of it, but Super Marios Bros. 2 from the NES doesn't get any attention in the newer games.
It's not that big of a deal, but it would be cool to be able to pick up enemies and throw them instead of just stomping them as usual, just for variety sake.
They brought back the raccoon suit, now I want to bash a radish upside a goombas head, okay?
Honestly, of all the games shown so far, this one impressed me the most. It just looks like alot of fun, and many other games looked great too, but this is the one I am most looking forward to.
Well the console isn't even out yet either, so I am not surprised. Also, I thought there was talk about a 3DS Smash Bros in the works? Anyway, even if we do have to wait a while, we know it will be worth it.
Nice collection, too bad I already downloaded most of those games on VC.
Now if they could have included Epic Yarn and Kirby: Return to Dreamland...it would have been overpriced but I would be more interested.
Still an awesome package though, especially if anyone has missed out on these games, they are truly amazing.
I love the little pink puff.
Well games like Pikmin 3 were intended for the Wii and got pushed onto the new system, maybe with a few graphical upgrades.
The game still looks great though, and considering the system hasn't even launched yet, it's too soon to start complaining about graphics.
Everything we saw was early stuff, launch day type of stuff.
Imagine if the whole fate of the Wii was based on the graphics of Wii Sports or Wii Play, although they were still fun to play.
Obviously much better looking games came out, so what are they worried about?
The same thing will happen with the Wii-U.
Things will start out kinda small, but down the line there will be something to really blow everyone away, although I am still impressed with what I have already seen.
I don't know what the big thing is about graphics being the bar by which some games are judged.
I think some developers put their expectations way too high, and even when they get what they want, they say they have a hard time developing for such graphically demanding games.
Then again, I am still entertained by 8-bit games, so as long as the graphics are adequate enough, and the gameplay is solid, I have no complaints.
The best graphics I have seen, are outside, in real life, beyond the door of my house.
Well inside the house too, but you know what I mean.
I think the obvious leap, when dealing with a Nintendo system, is not the graphics anyway, it's the new innovative ways to interact with the games.
It's funny though, we finally get an HD capable Nintendo console, and some still think that's not enough.
Not really worried about the SD card thing, since their capacity has increased quite a bit.I just hope I can transfer WiiWare and VC games to the Wii U as well.In any case, I am alot more impressed with this console than I originally expected.I thought it would be pretty hard to top the Wii, in terms of innovation, but the big N has done it again, and I cannot wait to get my grubby paws on the Wii U myself.
As for the design itself, it's pretty much a Wii with rounded edges, but whatever.
Battery life kinda sucks for something that can be taken anywhere in the house, so hopefully there will be more efficient batteries in the future to replace the old ones.
I am just so excited at this point that some of those little details don't even matter to me.
Rock on, yes!
Iwata was great, although I didn't care much for that corny video with the nerdy guy, that was really cheesy. I was hoping to see some new game footage, but the capabilities of the controller are better than I initially expected. I am actually more excited about the system than I was before.
Seriously, a vibrating stylus? Why the heck would I want one of those? I can probly come up with some dirty jokes about it. Seriously though, what if it's a shooter, and the thing is vibrating, and I am aiming all over the place? Neat idea, but it doesn't sound practical to me.
Not to burst any bubbles, but the title of this article is hilarious to me.
Winning E3?
I had no idea it was a competition, rather just a way to show off new stuff.
Also, what do you get if you do win, a trophy?
I love Nintendo, and I hope they do "win" E3.
Still sounds silly though, winning a convention?
Ah well, whatever.
I wasn't too impressed with this game when it came out on the original X-Box, and unless the game has been improved, I don't see any reason to play it again. Who knows, maybe it has been tweaked, and is better than before?
I was hoping Star Fox 2 for the SNES would get released on VC, since the game is complete with only a few bugs to work out, but this is very nice to see too! This would be so awesome! It seems it always comes down to the fans to create things like this.
Sounds great. Just the other day I was thinking how there was never another Zelda game on the SNES to follow Link to the Past, and now my prayers have been answered. Maybe...
Not sure if it looks better, but I can say it looks awesome! Would be interesting to play the entire game, 16-bit style. And to think, it took two years to put that overworld map together, wow.
Quick, everyone download a copy of MDK2, right now! (actually maybe I will) Anywho, Nintendo has always had a sort of bad rep when it comes to making the third party devs happy, ever since the NES days, but like most people are saying, things are getting better. I think Beamdog shouldn't be so quick to jump ship just yet, although I can certainly understand the reason for their frustration.
Kinda neat, but how does the thing vent all the hot air out? What if it over-heats, I didn't see any vents for the fan? The case looks like a plastic juice or cereal container, but seems to work well enough. Wonder how long the battery lasts? Ah well, I just wish I had one myself! Heck, maybe I will just go and make one, seems like everyone is doing it these days.
I think the franchise has been a huge success, and very profitable, but obviously for good reason. There is alot of Mario related stuff, but there is also alot of innovative new directions they have taken the characters. It's not like they keep releasing the same game over and over, there is always something new to look forward to, and things can only continue on that path, so long as there is no shortage of imagination, and fans willing to try something different. Heck if we want, we have plenty of classics to fall back on too! Of course I am talking about the core series, not the spin-offs, which maybe there are too many, but I am sure alot of fans don't mind. I think if they keep creative focus on the core series they will be better off, but then again I love Mario Kart, and Mario Tennis...so I am guilty as charged.
I just played this to see what it was like, and it is decent, but it's obviously gonna be more fun on multiplayer, as the single player challenges are enough to make me rip out my hair sometimes, maybe it's just harder using the wheel? I tried finding people online though, and I can never seem to find anyone...maybe not enough people have the game yet? Anywho, my only real problem with the game is the music, which is very out of place, but thankfully there is an option to shut it off, unless you enjoy ragtime jazz music in a racing game? Hopefully a demo will be released for those still not sure about it. Also I tried to check out the dlc, and there was none...yet.
Looks really fun, but remember, those fire imps are no joke! Hahaha, and I almost feel bad for the monsters, they get brutalized, and don't stand much of a chance. Yeah, the character model looked a generation older, but I would imagine they had to scale some things back so they could fit more content in there, but even so, I would still play this.
Really, the components are that cheap? That's weird, since of all the consoles I ever bought, Nintendo seems to make the most durable ones. So should I get these parts myself and build my own Wii-U? Would make a fun project. I see that the rumor mill starts spinning faster and faster...the release of the console must be getting closer!

I have nothing against free games, but I have found that most (if not all of them, on Steam anyways) of them really are free to play, but if you want the good stuff, or want to make it easier to progress, you have to pay real world money. If that is what someone chooses to do, then go for it. Team Fortress 2 being for free was a giant leap for the sake of awesomeness.
