Hearing about all these glitches and technical issues makes me feel like I'm the only one who doesn't have a problem with this update :P
Everything's working fine for me, and I'm fully embracing this update. It's all fun!

FINALLY. Something that isn't just showing kids doing kiddy things. Nintendo seriously needs to step away from its "kiddie" commercials. They have a bad enough time as it is trying to explain that they cater to everyone and not just children.

If I buy Super Mario Bros. 3 on the Wii U Virtual Console (because I have a discount from the original Wii VC), would I get a discount for buying it on the 3DS VC? Because after all, the two accounts are linked now.

@NbaJunkie No one would say that Nintendo milks their franchises if, say, they replaced "Paper Mario" with another star character, or if in their tennis or golf series they would just stick with anime characters and left Mario out.
If Mario games were only about platforming and you never saw Mario anywhere else, no one would say Nintendo is milking him.
You see where I'm going with this? The point is, Nintendo isn't milking the same franchises. They just choose Mario to be the main star in many of their different games because Mario is their mascot. That's all.

I suppose you could argue that this game is pay-to-win because of the subs you unlocked after buying it, but it doesn't grant you that much of an advantage since all of the subs are balanced one way or another.
Plus, buying it doesn't just grant you access to other subs, it grants you access to every single-player mission.
All in all, I'm happy with not being able to pay anything to experience the full online multiplayer, but I still want to pay to not only get the full game, but to also support this kind of game in the future.

Surprising score. The only "Family" game I've played was the go-kart one on Wiiware, and it wasn't good at all. I may pick this up for the multiplayer aspect and challenge mode.
