WiiLovePeace commented on EarthBound Listing Materializes on Amazon UK:

I hope its a new game in the series, remake or whatever. If its a compilation of all 3 of the Mother series then its a bit of a steep price, they should all go on VC not o a retail disc. I hope they're mistaken, but we still get all the Mother games on VC.

WiiLovePeace commented on E3 Nintendo Direct Date and Time Confirmed:

Awesome! Though I always try to not get my expectations up too high for Nintendo Directs, they're certainly making that hard this time around :D I'm most greatly looking forward to the next 3D Super Mario game, I really hope it releases before the end of October! & Mario Kart is going to be awesome too! Only 2 & a half weeks to go...

WiiLovePeace commented on Microsoft: If You're Backwards Compatible, You...:

Personally I have not used the Wii U's backwards compatibility, nor do I ever plan to. I have two Wii systems still hooked up & I don't get rid of my gaming systems ever so I have no use for the Wii virtual mode in Wii U. BUT I definitely played (& still play) loads of Gamecube awesomeness on the Wii backwards compatibility, so I'm extremely thankful for that, as I never had a Gamecube back in the day. So I can easily relate to those who do use the Wii U's backwards compatibility.

I do believe he's talking out of his butt though for sure :P

WiiLovePeace commented on Tecmo Koei Hints At A Pokémon Conquest Sequel:

I'd LOVE to see a sequel to the game! ... For what I played it was a really fun game :D Though I never finished it & thus it rests somewhere within my great gaming pile of shame :p I just found it slightly hard to keep track of all my different 'mon & the enemies' too, eg. their advantages, disadvantages, levels, etc. I probably should start it up again & give it the time of day.... One day :p

WiiLovePeace commented on Talking Point: The Wii U's Next-Gen Challenge ...:

Personally I don't see why a large number of people across the internets seem to be hating on the Xbox One reveal simply because they didn't show games straight away. If they did, what would they have for E3? To expect MS to put all its eggs into one conference is just stupid. Any hate towards MS because they're spreading the news across multiple conferences is definitely unwarranted. Of course they will show off more about its future games in due time.

It's quite ingenious of MS to 'future proof' their Xbox One console with the cloud imo (same for Sony). Technology moves quickly, who knows what kind of crazy CPU, GPU etc. will be found in mobile phones & tablets so on a technical level Xbox One & PS4 could be outdone quickly except for the ability of the console to send the processing of applications & games to servers for "infinite" processing power potential. Although I imagine that wouldn't be cheap to maintain, hence I think Nintendo have chosen the right route to not go into the cloud. I also wonder on the reliability of the cloud, especially if millions of users are on the servers in the years to come, with lag & stuff for button presses, seems all a bit iffy to me. Guess we'll just wait & see if MS & Sony's huge bets pay off.

The Xbox One's non-gaming functions are nice & shiny, but I don't think I would use them very often. I rarely watch TV & movies as it is, so I don't believe I will ever get One. Nintendo just keeps bringing (& will continue to bring) the games I love to play, though I'm intrigued by what the One's 15 first-party exclusive games are. I may buy a PS4 way down the track when it has multiple exclusives I want, although I'm quite content with the Wii U games I have & all the last gen (& previous generations, right down to the NES) games I have yet to get through too.

Oh & nice article too by the way :P A great summary of current events, can't wait for E3, it's all so exciting! :D

WiiLovePeace commented on Review: The Starship Damrey (3DS eShop):

I may pick it up one day, if only for the "no tutorials" aspect of the game. I love it when a game that focusses on exploration doesn't flat out tell me where to go, the sense of achievement of figuring out what to do next from my own noggin is amazing & awesome, not a lot of games allow for that feeling these days :(

WiiLovePeace commented on Review: Swords & Soldiers 3D (3DS eShop):

Damn. I was hoping that this would review well so I could buy it & finish it finally, even though I have it on WiiWare. Multiplayer didn't matter to me, but if the single player component doesn't work in 3D & stutters at the smallest of infantry then that's quite disappointing. Guess I'll have to load the game back up again on my Wii sometime, its a great game from what I remember :D

WiiLovePeace commented on Poll: Do You Follow and Watch Rival Console Re...:

I always watch over each console reveal with an open mind to all. & this time like every other time I've chosen Nintendo. The other two companies don't have the exclusives that I'm interested in, albeit their technology does look very impressive. I will most likely buy a PS4 in a few years when its got a few exclusives under its belt that I want to play (like I did with PS3, I didn't get one until a few months before the release of Uncharted 3). But I'm definitely going to keep an eye on what the xbox one's 15 first party exclusives will be.

WiiLovePeace commented on European Gamers Bemoan PAL Version of Super Me...:

I have no problem with the subtitles, they only last a few screens at the start & are never seen again through the entirety of the game until possibly at the end (I haven't beaten Super Metroid yet so I don't know). It runs as smooth as silk too so I don't know why everyone is getting all hot & bothered about a 30 cent download... Oh well.

WiiLovePeace commented on SEGA Promises New Gameplay, Enemies and Potent...:

My favourite Sonic game is Sonic Unleashed (PS3). I greatly enjoyed it entirely, thought the storyline was fun & the last boss stage & battle was epic. The music was really good & I loved just travelling through the town talking to randoms & laughing at their random shenanigans. Also I loved the werehog & the day time stages. They were just 2 really fun modes put together. I always hoped for a sequel but I'll probably never get it. Actually I should complete Sonic Unleashed & get all the medals in it one day. I also greatly enjoyed Sonic '06, I pissed myself laughing when [spoilers] he got kissed by Princess Elise /spoilers], I don't know how you could hate the game really. Most so called bugs in the game required you to actually try to make them happen, I never encountered any bugs or lockups, it was a nice fun game. Sonic Adventure 1 was fun too, Big the cat was hilariously fail! Personally, I enjoy the 3D Sonic games more than the 2D ones, I just enjoy being able to see the whole scope of levels, as well as to see what's ahead of me. Whereas I find the 2D sonics require too much memorisation & ultra fast speed without being able to see very far ahead. I'll get used to them one day I'm sure. Thus I'm very excited for this new direction the next Sonic game will take. Can't wait! :D

I may get one, both or neither of the Kirby VC discounts. I would like to get Lego Batman 2 but I find it hard to justify paying full retail price for a game that's half or less then half that price on other platforms, I'll wait for a price drop or if I get the monies I'll splurge. & I'll definitely download the demos on 3DS eShop, if I remember by the time Friday comes around :)

I had not played Super Metroid until it went on sale for 30c on Wii U but... My lord! Such an amazing, amazing game! I'm sure if 11/10 was allowed on NL then Super Metroid would definitely recieve that honour :D Its amazingly addictive, I haven't been able to put it down.

WiiLovePeace commented on Did Sumo Digital Just Tease A Sonic Racing And...:

I did wonder how Mario Kart U will top Sonic Racing Transformed though I definitely would prefer if Sumo Digital weren't working on Mario Kart & he's only teasing that some Sonic characters are coming to MK U. No offence to Sumo Digital, I absolutely love Sonic Racing Transformed but the game has been just too buggy for me to trust Mario Kart to Sumo Digital. We'll just have to wait & see I guess.

P.S. I also don't understand the Crash Bandicoot hate, I think he's funny & his games are fun. Oh well.

WiiLovePeace commented on New Sonic Title, Lost World, Will be Exclusive...:

The design of the world in the picture really reminds me of the design of the space theme park in Sonic Colours, hence I'm thinking this is going to be a sequel to Sonic Colours. I hope its mostly 3D, I enjoy those more than the 2D sonics, personally.

WiiLovePeace commented on Review: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS):

@Haywired woah! No, not that extreme. I guess immersed isn't the right word to use then? How about... "fun"? For me, it adds to the fun when I waggle the controller & DK rolls. The reviewer specifically stated they were glad the waggle controls were gone, whereas I feel removing it removes a little bit of fun. Sorry for the confusion :P

Woah, short! Or at least it felt short. Um... I really hope New Luigi U isn't full retail price, but it seems like it may be. I'm looking forward to W101 & Pikmin 3 even more now. Sonic Lost World a Nintendo exclusive? From the quick snapshot they showed it looks like a sequel to Sonic Colours. I guess we'll just have to wait until E3 for the real heavy hitters, its only 3 weeks or so away now...

@LavaTwilight Hahaha thanks! I just happened to be thinking a couple of days ago how much I love both Sunshine & Galaxy & what the next 3D Mario game will do to try to top those & all of a sudden it hit me: "Super Mario Starshine". Then Nintendo announces a Nintendo Direct presentation... Coincidence? I hope not! :p

WiiLovePeace commented on Nintendo Direct: Watch The European Presentati...:

If they reveal more about the next 3D Super Mario game, I hereby guess they call it: "Super Mario Starshine". As in, it takes Sunshine's F.L.U.D.D. into outer space & mixes it with Galaxy's "gravity" gameplay, so not only can Mario float around spherical objects the water you shoot out can do that too. That's my best guess / desire but I don't mind what they do with the next 3D Mario game, I just want to play it :D

Wow, amazingly awesome interview! I'll definitely look into getting flipper & the other Goodbye Galaxy games now. I have been wanting to buy more of the best games from DSiWare since its a lot easier for me to do on the eShop (simply by being able to add how much the game costs instead of having to pay $15 for 1000 points each time). Awesome!

WiiLovePeace commented on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies ...:

Awesome! I don't mind it being digital only at all, given how hard / expensive the physical carts of the other Pheonix Wright games are (iirc). Plus digital only means it'll be cheaper, in theory. & heck, I'm happy we're getting it at all given we missed out on Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (well that is a spin-off but still). & this only brings us that much closer to Pheonix Wright X Professor Layton :D Awesome!

I may buy Tekken Tag Tournament 2 one day despite not liking fighting games, it has enough special Nintendo features that I will probably quite enjoy it & its cheap.

I would've bought Super Mario Bros. 2 if it had've been the Super Mario All-Stars version. I may pickup Bit.Trip Runner despite no Aus eShop release.

Super Metroid is a definite huge YES! I seriously feel like I'm stealing from Nintendo, its just so awesomely cheap! :D

I may pick up Mario and Donkey Kong, though I kinda wanna beat every other game in the series before I get the latest instalment (I've only played & beaten the first one). Or I may pick up Starship Damrey, it definitely intrigues me. Though I'll probably wait for a review on that one.

WiiLovePeace commented on Feature: Celebrating Ten Years of The Wind Waker:

When LoZ: the Wind Waker came out I tried it on a demo unit at EBGames & isn't declared it the worst game ever & that it was on a kiddie gaming console :p (even though I was 13 at the time of the Gamecube's release :P) & hence got a PS2 with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 when that was affordable to me...

... Many years later the Nintendo Wii comes out, I pick one up in Sept. '08 with Wii Sports (of course :P), Mario Kart Wii & Wii Fit. I once again become a Nintendo fanatic (after being a Nintendo fanatic in the N64 era) & some time after that I felt like using the GameCube backwards compatibility hence I played Super Mario Sunshine (as I remembered a particular shot on the back of the game box made me want a Gamecube back in the day, because the graphics had been amazingly enhanced since Super Mario 64 imo). & then after that I decided to get over my years long of needlessly hating on Wind Waker (especially so since it was in numerous top 10 GameCube game lists) & I sat down & actually played it & now it is my #1 favourite LoZ game of all time! :D (Tied with LoZ: Ocarina of Time though, they're both my favourite LoZ game(s)). While playing it I loved everything about WW, including the cel-shading which I hated on back in the day. I loved the boating from one side of the world to the other, just the sense of exploration was phenomenal. Heck, even after I learned the ability to warp I still boated around the place most of the time (only using warp when there was a sense of 'urgency' in the game). The dungeons were great fun too. Oh & the music! Such an amazing soundtrack! :D

In conclusion, I deprived myself of an amazing, amazing game for many years due to stupid "reading a book by its cover"-ness. Then rectified this mistake a few years ago & have since experienced many GameCube classics that I skipped out on back in the day. It's been a while since I last experienced those games hence I'm looking forward to playing them all on Wii U, please Nintendo! :D
