WiiLovePeace commented on Obituary: Satoru Iwata:

It just ain't fair... :'( Never even met the guy & yet I still feel so sad at his passing... Thank you Mr. Iwata for everything Nintendo did over the last 13 years or so. Thanks for thousands of hours of gaming fun... You are sorely missed...

This so isn't right... I can't believe he's gone... Way too early...

When people across the internet demanded his replacement because Nintendo was losing money I always supported him. Iwata was a gamer at heart. I was always impressed by the way he made us laugh just by holding bananas, giving us news "directly" or the awesome interviews he did in his Iwata Asks articles. Which other CEO on the planet did this? None! He was the best! He brought colour into an industry that prefers black, gray & brown. He ushered in the Wii & DS, Nintendo's largest selling platforms ever. & he did it with character, he was a real human & not just a corporate puppet. I am still in shock. Rest well my friend, rest well... :'(

I've always wondered when the next sequel in the Wave Race & 1080 series of games would happen... Now I know why it's been so long since the last installments & why there's probably no sequels ever coming. I really loved all the games from both series', fingers crossed for NX I guess but I'm not getting my hopes up.

WiiLovePeace commented on Nintendo Gets Tough With Miiverse Bans, and So...:

I think people need to remember that Nintendo is a business & miiverse is a cost. Sure people have to buy a Nintendo system to gain the ability to post there but after that it's free. Plus more time spent on miiverse is less time gaming. I think that's why Nintendo have slowly "degraded" the miiverse experience over time, trying to limit user's use on it.

WiiLovePeace commented on Hyrule Warriors Is Slashing Its Way to 3DS:

Cool! Though I'll have to wait & see if there's going to be more than just two new characters to determine whether I buy this or not. I have Hyrule Warriors on Wii U already with all the DLC bought... Tetra & the King of Red Lions being playable does REALLY tempt me though...Having the new characters transferable to the Wii U version really works for me :D

I'll be downloading Splatoon on next Tuesday (pay day). Thankfully still within the 10% discount time frame. Can't wait! I'll pick up that Splatoon theme too to get hyped for the game :-D

Cool! I like that NL is giving some news time to some of the latest fan translations available. I myself am enjoying Tales of Vesperia on my PS3 thanks to a fan translation that I had waited years for them to finish. I'm only 5 hours in but I'm greatly enjoying the game so far, it was well worth the wait. I'm really liking the characters I've met so far, unlike in Tales of Hearts. But in any case, yay fan translations! :-D

WiiLovePeace commented on Talking Point: The Fragility of Buying Downloa...:

I really don't mind to be honest. It's just too convenient for me to download Splatoon, for example, & have it there to play whenever I want without having to swap discs. So that's what I'm going to do. In 10 years time I'll be playing something different so still having access to 10+ years old games isn't really a big deal to me.

WiiLovePeace commented on The Latest Miiverse Update Has Users In An Uproar:

I follow hundreds of miiverse users. Does Nintendo really expect me to click the profile of hundreds of people just to check if they have made more than 1 post since the last time I visited miiverse? The speed increase of the activity feed loading is minimal compared to how it was before the update. & now it's overall much slower since I have to click on numerous profiles as well. & the activity feed is fickle on Wii U, it always seems to want to reload after changing pages & going back, which I'll now have to frequently do, making the experience even slower. Why can't this sortof thing be optional? Quite the downgrade to miiverse.
