I voted for OlliOlli on WiiU, but since I have a 3DS too, I'll be getting them both. I highly recommend this game to everyone. I've got the Vita version, and I liked it so much that I'm double-dipping on WiiU/3DS. And OlliOlli2 just came out on the Playstation platforms.

I'll also be getting Mario v. DK: Tipping Stars, Zombie Incident, and with the discount, Aeternoblade looks attractive.

I agree, I love handheld gaming now. It just fits in well with my life. And I agree with the sentiment that it's the intimacy that draws me in-- the portability is only a small part of it. Heck, I play my 3DS XL (now New 3DS XL) and Vita more at home than I do on the go. Even at home, when I can play Wii U or PS4 games, I often turn on a handheld.

@DanielHPoetry @idork99 Yes, re-copying the old SD card folders on my laptop onto my microSD card worked for me!

So initially, my old 32 gb SD card had 2 folders, "Nintendo 3DS" and "DCIM." I created a folder on my Macbook, "New Nintendo 3DS Transfer," and saved both of those SD card folders ("Nintendo 3DS" and "DCIM") into this new folder, and then I dragged this new folder into my microSD card. I guess that was the problem, creating that new folder. I should have just dragged the "Nintendo 3DS" and "DCIM" folders directly to the microSD card without putting them into a newly created folder.

What I did was I took the microSD card out of my New Nintendo 3DS, put it into an SD adaptor, and inserted it into my Macbook. I then deleted the folder, "New Nintendo 3DS Transfer" that was on my microSD card, and I dragged the two folders, "Nintendo 3DS" and "DCIM" that were on my Macbook onto my microSD card, replacing the folder called "Nintendo 3DS" that was already on my microSD card.

And now I have my game saves and StreetPass puzzle pieces and home themes! The only thing that I noticed was my Rusty's Real Deal Baseball save file got corrupted, which is a bummer because I think it might make me re-buy some of those minigames.

Ugh. So I redownloaded Animal Crossing New Leaf. But all my save data is gone-- I have to start over! Yuck. What did I do wrong? Why did only some of my data transfer? The number of coins I have and the number of steps I walked transferred over, but none of my games or apparently, my save data. Is there any way to recover that?

So I just finished transferring my old 3DS XL (with 32 gb SD card) to my New Nintendo 3DS XL(with 32 gb microSD card). The problem is, none of my eshop games show up on the New Nintendo 3DS XL, but my home screen settings and folders are how they were. Also, I lost the majority of my StreetPass puzzle pieces, but the actual Miis I Streetpassed still show up in my Mii Plaza. For example, the New 3DS XL/Majora's Mask Reggie from Spotpass is there.

So what happened? Do I have to redownload everything I ever purchased from the eshop? And are my Streetpass puzzle pieces just gone forever? Is there an easy way to see what eshop games I have purchased already? I've purchased so much that it's hard for me to remember every title I bought.

I'm stoked about Gunman Clive 2. I didn't get a chance to grab Stealth Inc. 2 last year, so I'll also be picking that up. And the Codename STEAM demo. I still have my Metroid Prime Trilogy physical edition so no need to download that.

I downloaded Shovel Knight last night for Wii U. Loving it so far. I'll be downloaded the 3DS version at some point to play through it again and get some StreetPass action. I'll also be getting Castlevania III later, and I have my eye on the retail release for Wii Sports Club.

topperware commented on Remember, Wii Fit U's Free Trial Offer Expires...:

So I bought the Wii Fit U bundle that comes with a balance board and fit meter. I played it a little bit and enjoy it. I tried to download the digital version of Wii Fit U (since it seems to be more convenient to own this digitally), but my Wii U wouldn't let me because it said it already detected Wii Fit U data. Do any of you know (i) how to download the digital version of Wii Fit U when there is already save data from the retail version of Wii Fit U and (ii) whether I can use the Fit Meter that came with the Wii Fit U balance board bundle to keep the digital version permanently? Thanks.

topperware commented on Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2014:

I recently came back to Nintendo after years with PS1 through PS3, and I'm glad I did. I'm loving my Wii U so far. I'm most excited for Watch Dogs, Bayonetta 2 (the first Bayonetta for PS3 was awesome), DKCR Tropical Freeze (I loved the DKC games for SNES and just finished DKCR on Wii, which I also loved) and X. Since I haven't had a Nintendo system since SNES, I've never played a Smash Bros game, but I'm looking forward to trying that as well. And yes to MK8 as well! 2014 promises to be a great year for gaming.
