Mine is sat in the back of a courier van somewhere, I have a feeling I'll be looking out the window all day like I was roughly a year ago waiting for Skyward Sword...I love 1st Class delivery.
...eh @noxusprime06 ? Rock Band was made by the original Guitar Hero developers, they decided that simply churning out more Guitar Hero games was pointless so they added a whole range of instruments to the formula. The problem with Guitar Hero was that it was Activision controlling it, they saw it made money so they just churned out sub par after sub par sequels until it died. Like they did with Tony Hawk games and hopefully soon with Call of Duty.
Why does this man still have a job? Wii has a classic controller (well, two) for typical games like Monster Hunter, GoldenEye and others including Nintendo's Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl.
@Lin1876 I lived in Dundee for over 4 years and with the exception of when Dundee Utd won the cup there was a much larger amount of people wearing Old Firm strips in the street than either of the home teams.
"Everyone's favourite anti-gravity racing franchise that isn't WipEout"? WipEout blows, it blows big time. Give Sega another F-Zero game to make (UX?) and get them to make it as graphically impressive and fast as possible and then in the overused words of Philip J. Fry, "shut up and take my money!"
@3Dangerous3Dash ...that was my point, Microsoft and Apple are bigger companies therefore make more money, was that not clear? Nintendo might make more money than the other two based off of dedicated games hardware and software sales but they will make more money from the other aspects of their companies. "Apple makes a copy of what they already made in a differant form"? Game Boy Pocket was just a small Game Boy, 3DS is just a DS with a 3D display, etc etc.
@shingi_70 but Microsoft not only make Xbox, they also make the world's most popular computer operating system and Office to help them make a bit of money, Apple make computers, tablets, phones, MP3 players, iTunes etc. Nintendo makes at most two consoles and two handhelds at a time and more often than not just one of each, I would be really surprised if they managed to make Apple/MS amounts of money.
So if she was behind some of the bigger marketing campaigns does that mean she was the person who thought that having Jedward promote Dragon Quest IX was a good idea? I think it's good she's gone then
I still feel that Skyward Sword is new since it ain't out yet If it's a totally new one however, it takes years to make Zelda games, they could show one screenshot of a Cafe game and have that be it. I would expect this to be 25th Aniv. related like a Wii disc with every Zelda on it, I'm fairly sure a dual layered disc could handle that. That or Majora's Mask HD done by Grezzo again. I love the guessing game they make us play
@pixelman he's probably like us and desperate to see what Nintendo themselves produce on this thing, I get impressed with what they can do on Wii, this new beast will be a whole new kettle of fish!
@TeeJay It's still just a remake though, you've already played this game, a graphical update and a better menu system are hardly making it "very much improved", I'm not expecting a Resident Evil on GameCube level of improvement based on what I've seen but that's because OoT doesn't need it.
And playing a 13 year old title yourself is hardly "moving forward", playing a a new game now and waiting a few months and saving your money for Skyward Sword would be really moving forward. The fact that this can get released comes from people not moving forward and instead thinking " I loved that game, I want to play the shiny version!" This then gets people interested in the system and adequetly shows the power of it off, it's really just an expensive tech demo for nostalgic people. It's very clever by Nintendo.
However despite the negative sound to this, I'm actually really excited for this probably as a result of not moving forward from OoT even after all the times I've played it
@TeeJay because the N64 version is the original, it is the most critically acclaimed game ever, it is the game that changed 3D games and made them what they are today, it is the version people remember. Super Mario Bros. is an iconic NES game even though it was released on the SNES with enhanced graphics. For most people this will just be a trip down memory lane, albeit a shinier version of said lane, it's not going to change gaming in the way the original did.
@Link79 because it's on a smaller screen it's able to look good with less resolution.
Sonic's been best on handhelds for years anyway, Sonic Rush is in my opinion is one of his best games, so I don't really care if it's not on Wii, I'd rather get a handheld version anyway.
"If you had to pick a platform: Wii 2 or 3DS?" released on both but I'd buy it for "Wii 2". Controllers work so much better for handhelds for a fighting game in my opinion. I love this game, it's one of my top Wii games for sure but I'm not sure a sequel would be such a good idea, I'd prefer them to try another franchise to face off against...Nintendo Vs. Capcom or Konami Vs. Capcom could be fantastic.
@3DSneedsRPGs "E3 Expo is a professional trade event and is not open to the general public. Individuals who are not able to document their direct, and current professional affiliation to the interactive entertainment industry are not qualified to attend." Also "3-day Show Floor Pass $500"
@ those worried about controller cost based on Amazon.co.uk's RRPs a Wii Remote, Nunchuck and Classic Controller should set you back £62.97 so anything under this is will be cheap
I'm sure I've heard this rumour before...hardly a shock, but Nintendo will need to up the resolution, 640x480 video ain't going to look pretty on a 1920x1080 TV...
@Shmavey hmm, that's hard to answer as it tends to be a matter of opinion. The DS version includes the anime cutscenes added in for the PlayStation version, an extra dungeon, a re-translated script and some other features. The dungeon is not regarded as a positive addition as it's boring, the script matches more with the original Japanese one apparently and the cut scenes are a nice addition. Amongst the other features is a list of the endings that you have seen which I really like, there's also a pointless monster battle mode, list of monsters in the game and probably something else. It really doesn't matter in my opinion and would just get whatever was cheapest.
@KrazyBean it's just a compilation on the Saturn, the games come with different difficulty modes etc and if you want you can play Sonic the Hedgehog with the spin dash.
@SuperSonic he was a supporting character in the RE1 whose involvement with the story was a lot more important if you were Jill, in the original version of the game he had some of the worst lines ever recorded in a game such as "you were almost a Jill Sandwich" and "I think it would be better if you, 'The Master of Unlocking', took it with you." He is not as amusing in the GameCube/Wii version but don't let that detract from you getting a copy of that masterpiece!
