@bezerker99: dood i freakin' love Meerkat Manor! haha, i'd totally forgotten that show. i love Animal Planet shows :3

I think I'll kiiiiinda third Dirty Jobs as a reality show too, I've also watched every single episode Netflix has available. I prefer the earlier seasons, though, when apparently there were many more dirty jobs to try — the latter seasons are kinda confusing, lol. I just love Mike Rowe though :3

if Dirty Jobs counts, does that mean Mythbusters counts, though? because Mythbusters is awesoooooooome :O :O :O

the only shows i really keep track of as they're aired are Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef — i know, it's all manufactured and edited for maximum drama, but i love watching Chef Ramsay scream at people, and i also love cooking shows, so it's a win-win, lol. I do love shows like Antiques Roadshow and Storage Wars as well, but that's more to see what kinds of items they find, valuable or not.

and I also love love loved Solitary when it was on. now that was a crazy kind of show, lol. I miss Val ;___;

i usually don't pay too much attention to the score nowadays, just a general 'oh it was reviewed well' or 'oh that one was apparently crap'. it's more important to me that a review touch on areas of a game i'm concerned about and, if the review didn't answer a specific question I may have had, that the reviewer (or someone else with an answer) be accessible enough to respond when it's brought up in the comment thread below.

that said, where does it end? If NL were to start using a .5 scale, we'd have people asking for a full-on decimal-point scale, for visuals/plot/control scheme/etc. to all be separately scored, etc. and so forth (and we occasionally get those people asking for such already), so what does it matter? if you're curious as to why a game got a specific score or whether the reviewer would have called it a high or low [insert number chosen], all you have to do is ask nicely and i'm sure they'd be glad to explain why they felt it fit that particular criteria over others on the scale :3

motion sickness and vertigo, these are why all those warnings come with every video game and console you purchase. the warnings used to be much more prominent than they are nowadays, though. sometimes patterns of flickering lights can trigger seizures, vertigo, and/or motion sickness in sensitive people, and if you're having these problems while playing a specific sort of video game, it is recommended that you consult your doctor.

I can say I've had problems with motion-sickness while playing certain video games for prolonged periods of time before, and there was one point during a week-long Maple Story grindfest where it actually triggered a proper vertigo attack, so I make sure to take proper breaks if I've been playing a game for a long time. As for a 'cure', i don't think there possibly can be one total 'cure' for this sort of thing (because everyone has their own issues) other than listening to your doctor's recommendations (since he or she is going to be the most familiar with your medical history, especially as pertains to your surgery) and listening to what your body tells you (e.g. if you can feel yourself start getting nauseous or your eyes start to tic, stop playing immediately). Can't you try contacting your neurologist before your annual appointment since you're apparently having problems?

I finally had time to finish up the game today, and i've gotta say i had hoped there would've been more to it in the end. it was actually kind of a twist that it ended that way instead of going the obvious route. There's a little bit more to the game to wrap up after the 'ending', but it involves collecting all of the Monster Cards, and i don't have the patience for that, I'm afraid — i really hate this card game.

all in all, i guess i'm glad i played it, and again the presentation and feel of the game was absolutely wonderful. i enjoyed the authentic Japanese feel of it all, but that card-game mechanic really killed it for me, and i also got pretty sick of the child narrator voice. wish there'd been a way to turn that off, i'm more than capable of reading the messages without the accompanying voice, lol :(

So instead of trying to speak your mind like a mature person and calmly get your point across you try to threaten them when you get mad. That is hilarious! Then maybe you never owned a ds?

The ds has loads of first person shooters,

It's not about if it's instrumental for survival, many people including me enjoy an fps game from time to time and the 3ds's controls would be perfect for that. You have a choice for circle pad pro or stylus(most accurate)

I did own a DS, and I still do own my DSi. I remember Dementium, Moon, and Metroid, and the Call of Duty series — if that counts as 'loads' to you, OK then. That said, you're saying it 'needs' these things, and I disagree. I think the 3DS can do just fine without them, especially if KI:U is going to be any sort or indicator as to the nature of future 3DS FPS offerings. hand-cramps ahoy!

@SCAR392: I think you're equating something good happening almost at random to a big corporation taking a proactive stance regarding goods, features, and services for which their fanbase clamors daily. I could just as easily claim that my pencil helps me to find lost items on the ground every time I drop it... just because I might see a penny or a cheeto once in a while as I reach for my fallen pencil is not a reward for any sort of patience with my pencil, nor is it proof that my pencil has listened to my pleas for it to find me money and food.

You can say 'patience is a virtue' until you're blue in the face, but you'll only be proven right should Nintendo make the choice themselves, which is almost a random occurrence nowadays. you can say things will 'probably' show up, which is actually the perfect thing to say in this sort of situation — if it hits, you can claim you said it would be so, and if it doesn't, well it's not like you claimed it would, did you? in no way is them giving us something cool once in a while proof that they in fact 'listen' to anything their fans have asked for.
