idk how long it'd take, but at least you'd be getting your money back if it worked out with them... any action made is better than sitting around hoping that douche is gonna finally get around to refunding you, lol. :3

Re: eBay just screwed me over!

I forget, did you ever open that PayPal dispute? You paid via PayPal, try going through them to get your money back, dude. He obviously received the item, y'know.

If PayPal won't do anything after you talk to them (idk if it's been too long for mediation or not off the top of my head), did you use a credit card with PayPal or did it draw from your bank account? If you used a credit card, try filing a dispute with the CC company; they might have a longer period of time where you can dispute the charge.

@Panda: don't judge the Legends series by MM64... if you want to play it the way it was meant to be played, get MML for the PSX. the N64 version was crap. :/

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite SNES Games

theblackdragon

@JesusSaves: I was serious when I said you have got to be messing around with us or trolling. the games you listed are not directly comparable, they are of completely different genres and gameplay styles, and when you emphasize that you're serious about what you're saying it's that much harder to take you seriously at all. I'm with Mickeymac on this one.

Re: Your Top 10 Favorite SNES Games

theblackdragon

@JesusSaves: most of the time, I try to turn a blind eye when you start crapping on stuff, but this time... you have got to be trolling. There is no way CT and Pac-Man are in any way comparable to one another.

and Shining Force is the bottom of the SRPG barrel for reals. It bored me to tears, and CT kept me engaged for weeks. No way is it better... same for SMRPG, even though i love the crap out of it. just... no.

as per the topic at hand, in no particular order, my top 10 favorite SNES games:
SMRPG
SMW
SMK
Yoshi's Island
Star Fox
Turtles in Time
Tetris Attack
DKC2
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana

Re: Anyone getting the Japanese 3DS

HolyMackerel wrote:

The majority of consumer appliances use the same or similar voltage and sockets as the US. (The thread you linked says this too.) There are some minor differences, but most products will work just fine. (Though as the thread says, the voltage is 20 V different, so devices which generate heat like hair dryers will run very hot. Consumer electronics should work just fine.) I have a Japanese DS Lite and its charger works without a transformer or adapter in the US, so I expect the 3DS will be the same.

please note that you said the following in the comment i was replying to:

HolyMackerel wrote:

Um, the Japanese use the same voltage, plugs and sockets as the US so folks in the USA can use Japanese 3DSes just fine.

... which is not really true. similar does not equal same, which is what i was pointing out with that link. also, the 3DS comes with an induction charger, correct? those are fairly new technology; no one knows how it'll really react yet while running at a higher voltage.

the bottom line, though, is that one person's experience may not equal everyone's, and if you have any issues with the wiring in your home or sudden power surges, brownouts, etc. and inadvertently make your shiny new Japanese 3DS release the magic blue smoke somehow, hope you're decent enough at Japanese to get in touch with NoJ to have it serviced or replaced. there's more to consider when importing electronic devices from other countries than just having the coolest new thing a month or two before your friends can get their grubby hands on one. :3

Actually, HolyMackerel, Japanese electricity is not exactly the same. i found some good information here regarding the use of Japanese appliances brought back to America. idk what it would mean for a 3DS, though; i'm no expert :3
