an easy way? no. if you want easy, you'll just have to get a NA SNES. if you're handy with a soldering iron, though, this guide is quite detailed and looks like it'll give you some solid results.

edit: wait, if you're just talking about getting NTSC games to run on a PAL SNES, there are converters for that. they'll probably run you more than you paid for the SNES, though :3

@KaiserGX: perhaps you should get active on an art-based website, like DeviantART or something, where you can interact directly with other artists who are more in the mindset of critiquing things than playing video games. being around other art all the time usually helps to inspire me, maybe it'll help you too.

you might want to try checking GameStop's website, they'll list which stores in your area have copies, and you can call those stores directly. they should be at the point where they're selling preorders that no one picked up yet, and if they say they're not, i'd try reminding them of their company policy -- they're only supposed to hold those preorders for like two or three days after the game hits.

that said, i just checked Amazon... sorry Link79, but dang, i'm glad i ordered my copy when I did. no way i'd pay more than retail for it :O

@bboy2790: come on, now, there's no need for 'well you should've gotten it at launch if you wanted it so bad' -- i know I straight-up didn't have the money for it until the payday after it hit, and by then there were no copies left in town... believe me, i checked everywhere. not everyone is as privileged to have the money for everything they want as soon as it comes out; if you are so blessed, good for you. :/

unfortunately, the only way you can get online with DS cards is if your wi-fi uses WEP encryption. the Wii and DSi both support WPA, which would explain why you can connect with the Wii and not your DS, though (and note that DS games played on a DSi still require a WEP connection to get on the internet, even though the DSi can access the DSi Shop and use the Browser without it). you'll have to set up a WEP connection for your network (or ask your parents to do so if they're the ones managing it) to allow you to play DS games online again.

@Twario: remember that video games are for people of all ages, not just the adults he's saying have 'matured'. they'll always be catering to children as well as adults; there's no way they'd ever risk losing that market. kids are way too important to the video game industry. there will always be platformers and simpler games, just as there's comedies and lighthearted movies alongside the serious dramas, fun and fresh books alongside the timeless two-thousand page classics, etc. and so forth.

(a) 'fun' is a very relative thing; there are people out there who can and do with great gusto enjoy games that are 'disturbing, depressing, timely, political, thought-provoking, and, above all, meaningful', just as there are those who just want to play Tetris Attack and wipe the floor with a buddy. and note that there are people who love both types of games :3

(b) as he says himself, what he's talking about will take decades, and he'd be a fool to be talking about all video games -- obviously, there is a definite demand for simple puzzlers, platformers, and other light-hearted games alongside the super-serious JRPGs, the combat simulation games, and the drama/horror games, just as there's still demand for playing card games and board games even in this day and age for people to relax with. I still play solitaire to relax and drown out the events of my day sometimes, and people will still play solitaire in the future, whether in electronic format or not.
