Now, I completely agree with you on multiple people giving an opinion on it. I found Nintendolife's removing of their review for Zero Escape to be odd because, quite frankly, is it so wrong ot have different opinions on a game? They were two very different viewpoints. One had played its predecessor (from US) the other hadn't (EU). One gave it a 10, the other an 8. Is it so wrong to have both? It wouldn't be the first site to do it.

If you're saying you'd like to see multiple staff members do proper reviews of a given game, you're more than welcome to suggest the idea to the directors, but I think you got the wrong idea about what happened with that particular review somehow. It had nothing to do with differing viewpoints; Damo explained (and I know you're aware of it, moomoo, because you were one of the people who had e-mailed asking for further explanation) that there was an unfortunate disagreement between the original reviewer and the editorial staff. When he left, all of his reviews were taken down in his wake.

he may have asked that they be taken down or demanded it, i have no idea what happened between him and the editorial team, but with those reviews gone, we had to replace them — I'm pretty sure replacing the Zero Escape review took priority since the Vita version review had gone up at Push Square shortly after the original 3DS version review had been taken down at NL. I'm not sure what else is still waiting to be replaced offhand; i know the same person also reviewed that Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva movie, though.

@florecita: ikr! sometimes i just want to shake these people and tell them their style sucks and they should wear whatever the hell i pick out for them haha~

anyway, whenever i have trouble with the contests, it's usually because (a) i'm looking at it from a western point of view, and (b) i've second-guessed something that could've put me straight into first place. Japanese style is different from western style, i think — sometimes they'll put outfits together that you wouldn't think would go, and somehow it just works. i can't explain it, really, but every time i've erred on the Japanese side and just slapped something together that i did not think would work at all, it's worked out — as opposed to the times where i really worked hard to make sure everything absolutely went together and looked amazing, and i got 2nd or 3rd place. ugh.

@Mowzle: believe me, i know what you're going through — after a while you'll start to be able to pick them apart, though. :3

Also, i totally had one of my assistants (Hazel) just purchase some sweater coat while I was playing last night, and it reminded me that she's done that maybe once before — she pops up either when you re-enter the shop or during a transition between times of day to say that she picked up some item for the stockroom and you'll get a sample of it when you get home, too. I guess that's what the 'keeps the stockroom full' assistants wind up doing every so often, lol :3

@Rebirth112: There could be something up with the spring-loading mechanism inside your 3DS cartridge slot; a gentle tap shouldn't be enough to make the system think the cartridge has been removed. If your system is still under warranty, you might want to try getting in touch with Nintendo to set up a repair order.

Quit focusing on the negative and go do something positive for a while, you'll feel better. :3

Sharing an AC adapter just means it uses the same voltage to charge; the two batteries are entirely different shapes. Your 3DS battery won't fit into your sister's DSi, I'm afraid.

That said, If the charging port on your 3DS is busted, have you tried using the cradle instead? That doesn't require having anything physically plugged into the system, it plugs into the cradle itself and the contacts on the back of your 3DS are what's used to charge with.

@Magi: Nintendo could also enforce Germany's laws regarding PEGI 18+ rated games in Germany alone, but I don't see him campaigning for any change there because in that case, the decision matches his personal moral values. Only when it inconveniences him is he suddenly outraged and suggesting ways to change (which likely won't happen, lord knows Nintendo hasn't done well with partnerships in the past), where before he couldn't have cared less whether a niche title reached the west or not, and I find the lack of consistency quite amusing.

I am talking about economic protectionism here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protectionism

It's a Bad Thing, borderline unethical, for corporations to do it. It's also not the same thing as when a company protects itself from reputational and legal damage.

I thought you were a fan of companies protecting themselves and their monetary bottom line, though, even in the face of disgruntled fans? or are you just a fan of that happening only if you're not the one inconvenienced? you've shown quite the lack of sympathy in the past for other users complaining about niche titles not making it westward.
