not so much... Twilight Princess was developed originally for GC but then was switched to the Wii when Miyamoto felt the new pointing interface would work well with shooting arrows. TP had an original release date of 2005, but that was pushed back so that they could finish developing the Wii version. The only thing keeping TP from being an official NPC game is the fact that it came so late in the GC's lifetime that they were able to push the GC release back.

If you want to get technical, it's the exact same game, same story, same mechanics, just with movements taking the place of button presses and a flipped map layout because they couldn't rework Link himself in time to make him left-handed. If that's not a New Play Control game, then what is?

i wish Nintendo would just come out with a classic controller that had actual C-buttons, not the stupid C-analog stick like the Gamecube controller. i actually liked the C-buttons, i loved the N64 controller just the way it was, and playing N64 games without them/without the original controller (I'm looking at you, Ocarina of Time) is a pain in the rear.

i will definitely keep that website in mind when i've got the money to go controller shopping again, because I've still got my N64 controllers in storage (along with the system, lol). thanks for the link!

(a) yes, we do get a 'special prize' if we reach gold/platinum status for the Club Nintendo year
(b) they will announce whatever they're going to give us sometime in June or July (i forget exactly when, but it's around when the CN year ends/begins), and then they'll send it out to eligible members sometime in the latter portion of the calendar year. Club Nintendo of Japan has gotten some pretty awesome stuff in past years, so here's hoping we get some cool stuff too this year. :3

i will agree with you except for fighting games -- when you're in the thick of things, sometimes it's helpful to see which way you need to move it (Smackdown vs. Raw 2009's way of doing it is nice IMO; it's present but it's not too godawful intrusive). then again, i've always been a button-masher at heart (i have no capacity for remembering combos or setting up moves... it's not like i haven't tried... the most recent was Budokai Tenkaichi 2, and it sent me into conniption fits :(), so I like the on-screen reminders of what i need to do to complete the move IRL.

The coins do in fact expire, but it's two Nintendo Club years (July 1st to June 30th iirc) after they enter your account. for example, if you registered a DS game in March of this year, the coins you received for registering it would not expire until June 30th of 2011.

considering Amazon.com (not a reseller listing on Amazon) still has new copies of No More Heroes available (which has been off the shelves in the US since late last October-ish? don't quite remember), if you can't find it new here when you come to buy it, chances are Amazon will still have it when you get back home. That way you can be sure your money will have gone into Xseed's pockets instead of a reseller's.

that happens with my phone in low-light situations as well, it's normal (and sometimes people get caught with weird expressions, too, not just blinking, lol). also, since the DSi doesn't have a flash (like my phone), you'll notice that your hand needs to be a little steadier when the lighting is bad because the shutter stays open a little longer to compensate (to absorb as much light as it can). if you move away too quickly from a picture in low light to take the next, you'll end up with a bunch of blurry pictures.

Bit.Trip Beat and Strong Bad 5 are both solid, fun games, I've got both and they're awesome.

I've never played AS: Code and Real Football, because they haven't been released here in the US yet (and who am i kidding, i still probably wouldn't bother with RF because soccer isn't really my favorite game anyway, lol). Code looked interesting, though, and i would already have it if it were released here. :3 But as for AS: Aquia/Aquite, it turned out to be not as much fun as I'd hoped. I was pretty bored with it after a while, unlike Pyoro which is rather addictive and great for a quick burst of gaming when you can't settle in for a more lengthy game.

I'd go for the Wii points if I were you, to be honest. :)

I wholeheartedly agree with this assessment of Ratatouille. It was a gorgeous movie, there were parts that I didn't know if they'd just filmed some real-life sequences as backgrounds (like when the inspector is chasing Remy through the streets, there's a part where the camera is whipping past some boats and cars and stuff and man does it ever look real except for the characters!), but I really wanted more with the love interest (it all happened so fast) and some more tension with the food critic guy (it just doesn't seem like the situation is really dire, to be honest; it has the wrong feel to it). more time spent on characterization would've been nice. :3
