i know, right? and yet the book was way better, thus speaking volumes for the quality of the book. man, i read that book so much when i was younger i ended up destroying it. I still need a new copy.

As for The Lost World, however... the movie was definitely not as great as the first, though the book was solid as ever. And Congo and Sphere were both much better books than they were movies... :/ Never did see The 13th Warrior, though, even though that book was also good from what I remember of it. :3 I can't believe he's dead either. :/

good! seriously, who uses the DS Download Stations? i know I don't... i prefer to play games while i'm comfortable, and bringing my DSi out someplace, downloading a demo, and then having to wait until i get home to try it out does not appeal to me in the slightest. I'd rather have multiple demos available for me at home, so i'm all about using the Nintendo Channel on the Wii at the moment for demoing games, and having demos available directly on the DSi Shop would save me a step entirely. :3

@pix: the idea of bowser doing one thing and then the bros. having to do something to directly help him do it (like powering his muscles or catching adrenaline or helping him digest food), though, how is that not new to the series gameplay-wise? also, though you're right, and the idea of bowser and the bros. having to work together to defeat enemies in battle is not new, the whole 'bowser inhales enemies and triggers a separate battle with the bros. that may still have consequences for bowser if they screw up during the fight' is certainly different from either controlling bowser completely by himself or as an integral part of your main party, fighting alongside the bros.

@Toon Link: an AR is sold as a cheat code device (much like the Game Genie and GameShark), and on its own does not function as a flashcart (unless they've come out with some new model i haven't heard about). Provided you're not using it to attempt to cheat over wi-fi play, who cares what you do with it? :3

@pix: Granted, I haven't yet beaten BiS, and I haven't yet played TTYD or SS, but I do know that while Bowser does join up with you in SMRPG and SPM, it's as an ally and with his active (though reluctant) consent. the idea of being inside his body and helping him to defeat enemies without his knowledge is not the same.

Why not try contacting Nintendo directly? Whether by phone or e-mail, they want your business and they'll be able to give you a definite answer. Usually there's links/e-mail forms at the support site for your region, and a customer service phone number too.

it sounds more like he's all about people who have flashcarts already pirating their little hearts out because no one can do anything about it to me. Assume all the best about him that you like, but you are not me, and as I've already said, I had my reasons.

Also, that line can be just as insulting with or without an 'if'.

and i think, considering how his previous comment focused more on software piracy via flashcart, how i've already had to delete one of his comments tonight from a different thread because it was entirely uncalled for, and how instead of using general terms he used the direct 'you/your', that he was trying to directly insult MetalMario by insinuating that he's not old enough to buy his own games (or that his parents buy all his games for him), and instead of deleting the insult outright i chose to call him on what he said at face value.

Explain to me how having to pay for your own games as opposed to having them gifted to you by family members entitles you to break the law by pirating them instead. Please. I'm dying to know.

@edhe: check your camera's docs... they may say something about files being transferred to the camera SD card via USB have to be a specific range of formats or something. either way, if it's not letting you do it, then you probably do need a separate reader. don't worry, they're pretty cheap. :3

Re: AAC Files?

theblackdragon

@Toon Link: you'll need iTunes for this.

1: Open iTunes. Choose Edit, then Preferences from the drop-down menu.
2: Click the 'General' tab, then the 'Import Settings' button.
3: From the drop-down menu there, choose the format you'd like your songs converted to (AAC), and i believe there's also a drop-down for bitrate settings and whatnot. Once you've got everything to your liking, click OK to save your settings.
4: In your iTunes library, highlight the song(s) you want to convert. Right-click it/them, and choose 'Create AAC version' or whatever it says. Then sit back and relax and wait for your file(s) to convert.
5: When your files are all converted, you can find them in your iTunes folder (if you can't find them, just search your computer for '*.m4a'; that's the file extension that iTunes saves AAC-format files to on my computer iirc).

As for putting your newly-converted files onto an SD card, you'll need an SD card reader (some newer computers/laptops come with SD card readers built in, but other computers will require an external SD card reader that will likely plug in to your computer via USB)...
1: If necessary, plug in your SD card reader... if it's already built-in or hooked up, just insert your SD card into the reader slot.
2: A new volume should pop up after a few seconds under My Computer or whatever, and it will likely identify itself as an SD card. Open it.
3: Locate your AAC-converted files on your hard drive, and open that window.
4: Drag and drop/copy and paste the music you want on your DSi from your hard drive to the SD card.
5: Organize your music into folders if you like. The DSi will read up to several folders deep, though it will display only one folder deep in the DSi Sound menu (all the deeper folders will be brought up into the one same rotating wheel of available folders, so take care not to use the same name for multiple folders on the SD card, even if they've got different names for their parent folders).
6: When you're done mucking around with the SD card, dismount the volume and eject it from the reader. Pop it into your DSi and have fun with your music. :3
