I never got a chance to preorder to begin with, but I had the page bookmarked in case they resupplied. I just checked it a minute ago, and the page for the Lucario Amiibo is gone from their site altogether. In fact, ALL of the third-wave Amiibo are now delisted. Come on guys, get it together!

This is because people like me rushed out and preordered everything we could in light of recent stock concerns. Only natural that would push sales like crazy...I just hope Nintendo will pay attention and find a way to increase production.

@WaLzgi: True...but my brother needed to be picked up from work at the mall anyway, and I like some of the people in my store. I don't regret the trip. Also hit Best Buy on the way out...just Lucario and Rosalina left out of Wave 3 for me...Waves 1 and 2 are covered. :)

Stuffgamer1 commented on Nintendo Reportedly States That No First Wave ...:

Glad to see Nintendo isn't actually THAT stupid...I just hope they can respond to the high demand quickly. There are already a few THIRD wave Amiibos sold out on Amazon, let alone second. I went ahead and snapped up preorders on every one I can just in case. Only major problem remaining is those darned retailer-exclusives. Planning a trip to GameStop tomorrow to see about Shulk and possibly whatever I can't get on Amazon ATM. I gots the Amiibo fever for reals! Or something. :P

It seems AWFULLY fast to discontinue these. I mean heck, I was in Walmart the other day and saw some first-gen Skylanders on the shelf...those are THREE YEARS OLD now! But somehow first-gen first-wave Amiibos can't last a month? I seriously doubt this is accurate, to be honest. I know Nintendo said some Amiibos would be more limited than others, but this is absurd!

With all that said, I knew these three would be some of the first to go one way or another, so I preordered them ASAP. Glad I did. Hope they fix this for those who didn't have the chance.

I saw this coming the instant the things were announced...but it's actually worse than I thought it might be. I expected maybe a short selection of save files, like you have to pick 12 StreetPass titles max. ONE at a time is INCREDIBLY restrictive...but it won't matter until more games trying to write to them release anyway, so it's all academic for now.

Stuffgamer1 commented on Kirby: Triple Deluxe Soundtrack Now Available ...:

@shaneoh I don't find the games exciting because I already buy the games I want when they release. 200 coins (roughly on average) for a game I could pay less than $10 for is a bad deal, straight up. Meanwhile, physical goods may wind up on eBay, but they will be EXPENSIVE. I paid around $30 to import Tingle's Balloon Fight a few years ago.

Looks like the incomplete version of Galaxy's soundtrack is going cheap...but the two-disc complete version is crazy expensive. Either way, I'd rather get it straight from Nintendo and have a quality program instead of this crap we're stuck with now.

Stuffgamer1 commented on Review: Tappingo 2 (3DS eShop):

"The soundtrack also leans toward a slightly mellower ambiance than the first game while retaining the same light, quirky, 16-bit feel; this is a plus, as Tappingo is definitely a game made for chilling out."

I disagree...I much preferred the soundtrack in the first game. Hardly a deal-breaker for a great game like this, but a minor disappointment nonetheless.

@Mercy_Lost: You expect LOGIC from Nintendo? Heh...I don't think so. Anyway, I'd gladly trade you. Free cheap games are not my idea of a good reward for spending hundreds of dollars on...well, GAMES. Often including the ones they're trying to give me for free. Meanwhile, you guys have a Mario Galaxy soundtrack, cute Yoshi plush, and plenty of other physical goodies. Those points cards are pathetic at this point, though...should be replaced with eShop cash cards by now. :P

Stuffgamer1 commented on Sorry, Contrary to Rumours the New Nintendo 3D...:

@Azooooz: I figured that was what you meant. Sony has proven that region locking CAN be done on a game-by-game basis, as the PS3 is mostly region-free, but some titles (okay, just one as of now) do lock. Every disc is region coded (hence the region one logo on the side of the American boxes), but the system normally ignores that. Nintendo COULD do the same thing, or even let it be an optional thing like Sony did. But they won't, because Nintendo. sigh

Stuffgamer1

Stuffgamer1 commented on Sorry, Contrary to Rumours the New Nintendo 3D...:

@Azooooz: Since region-locking is an inherently software-based thing nowadays, it theoretically COULD, yes. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

@XCWarrior: It's not just about Japanese games, y'know. I have more PAL DS games than Japanese anyway, simply because publishers (third-party AND Nintendo themselves) couldn't be bothered to release their products in America. Then you have the PAL gamers who had to import the likes of Retro Game Challange...you get the point. Sure, you COULD import Japanese titles and muddle through (I did so on Tingle's Balloon Fight since it's not text-heavy anyway), but this is really more about accessibility for games already in English for a lot of us.

Stuffgamer1 commented on Tappingo 2 Release Pushed Back a Week on Ninte...:

@HugoSmits I guess so...really, it's a perspective I have a hard time relating to because I NEVER go to Nintendo.com or the eShop to just browse randomly...and if I did, I'd be happy to see more games available in the various categories, "featured" slots be damned. Meanwhile...well, gamers are known for being selfish, and I've been waiting for this since I finished the first one! Not an excuse...just being honest. :P

To be equally honest, one week delay doesn't mean as much as I get older, so meh. Just an interesting discussion point, IMO.

Stuffgamer1 commented on Tappingo 2 Release Pushed Back a Week on Ninte...:

What came out today that would compete with this, exactly? Sure, there were three 3DS eShop games, but they're all VERY different titles. I'd get it if they were all puzzlers as well, but I think this is another case of Nintendo being overly concerned about nothing. There's nothing for me on 3DS this week (except Layton v. Feenie, but that's retail and I don't really count that), especially with another lack of VC. Sure, I like the expanded VC support on Wii U, but why do that at the cost of the other platform? Some of these NES games could at least be getting simultaneous release...and that's coming from someone who doesn't even want NES games on 3DS (just it's better to get them out for those who want them instead of wasting time like this).

Aaaaaanyway...nothing for me, but I totally would've bought this in a heartbeat. To me, this is a delay without purpose.

@sketchturner: I'm with you there. I also like the Bible Buffet one, though...it's pretty tempting.

For those who are not aware, a new 20th anniversary version of Super Noah's Ark 3D is actually on Steam Greenlight right now. It's quite interesting to see Wisdom Tree coming back into the public eye, especially as a legit fan of some of their work.

@SparkOfSpirit: I had no idea this had ever happened before...that makes me feel a little better about it.

@brooks83: I didn't know there were any problems with it. I DO know that since it was a PAL import, it actually ran at 50hz on Wii...I compared it to the Japanese version and the difference was obvious. Are you talking about that or something else?

What the heck? I went to the eShop to grab Ufouria...which I already had on Wii. Unlike every other game I've ever tried to upgrade, it still wants to charge me the full $5. Anybody else having this problem?

My reward for spending a lot of money on Nintendo products is...a free download of a bunch of games I already own. WAY TO GO, MORONS! After all the previous years' rewards, this could only be a bigger letdown if they said "sorry, your Elite status gets you NOTHING this year." I thought the point of a customer loyalty program was to make people HAPPY they're spending so much money on you...

@Spartacus3765: Don't forget Doc Louis' Punch-Out!! the first year...that's what I took instead of the hat. Sure, it was a downloadable game...but it wasn't available any other way!

So we're finally getting some Lufia on VC...and they start with the THIRD? The one comprised almost entirely of rouguelike-style randomly generated dungeons and honestly goes on too long for its own good. It has some interesting systems, but I've never finished it. Oh well, probably give it another go anyway.

The kid in the background seems superfluous, but I suspect they changed the dog in an effort to avoid misinformed claims of "racism" for the original design. It's sad, but I bet someone would make that argument otherwise, unaware and/or uncaring the game came from Japan in the first place.

I'm no Best Buy regular...but this deal is enough to make me go there now and then. That said, I still have a good bit left on my account from the LAST time this deal ran...sad result of such slow releases. So I really don't NEED more right now anyway.

@Mk_II: True, the copyright is in place...but a company can't PROSECUTE without showing damages, and if they aren't selling you the product, there are no damages to be shown. It's a weird legal loophole, but very useful for retro fans who don't want to see obscure games fade for no good reason.

I have played the fan translation of this game...of course, there's only one way to do that, and I'm sorry if it offends some of you for some bizarre reason. Let it be known that I would gladly pay for the game if it WAS released in English...for whatever that's worth.

@TheGZeus: THANK YOU! I'm amazed I had to go THAT far down to finally see the word "egalitarian" used. For the record, everybody, the definition of the word:

"of, relating to, or believing in the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities."

For the record also, I too wish gender could be easily ignored...but that's COMPLETELY unrealistic. It could certainly be handled better than it is now, but total literal equality is literally impossible due to biology. In order for us to be truly equal, we'd have to be gender-non-specific...like snails. :P

You wanna stand up for equal rights? Great! But don't use a gender-charged word to do so. As it stands, I don't have a problem with this woman getting a job YET. I WILL have a problem when and if any Social Justice Warrior activity seeps into the job itself. She's a community manager, and she can NOT afford to rile up this kind of hate and discontent in said community.

Funny...when I played the Baseball game with my brother, I kicked his donkey very unsubtly and we agreed it wasn't worth returning to. Honestly I don't think there's all that much to come back to on Wii Party U in general...certainly not like I would have hoped. But let's be fair, here...I'm the youngest in the house at 24, so mileage may vary wildly by age.

A game we DO keep coming back to is Sketch in Game & Wario. So simple, but loads of fun anyway. :)

If they're smart, they'll make up for the retail package forcing purchase of ALL the games by making it cheaper than the full set on the eShop...but then if they were really smart the prices would've been lower in the first place, so I wouldn't count on it. :P

This is the co-opingest game ever. ;)

I grew up playing with my brother...he always took Goofy while I played Max. We've been through it many times, but it's always a blast.

On another note...we NEVER got tired of the music. I consider this game an outstanding example of SUPERB composition, because it takes some serious skill to not annoy the player with music in less than one-minute loops that plays for the entire level like this.

Not only have these listings been on the site for WEEKS, they already announced the game for VC by the end of the year in a Nintendo Direct a while ago. So what part of this is newsworthy?

@brooks83: In my experience, the Wii had weird color issues with NES across the board that the Wii U does nor share. So I don't think it should be an issue.

@VoiceOfReason: Because SOME of us like this game, and Nintendo wants to sell to us. Granted, I think it'd be even better if ALL of the good games were released, but we take what we can get. I was truly happy to see we were getting Clu Clu Land, and I can see I'm not alone.

"It becomes even more difficult in later stages, where finding gold becomes much more challenging; not only will you have to pass through a gold location twice for it to be uncovered, but you must also avoid going back over it afterwards, as doing so will rebury it!"

Had to look up Monster Games. Nowhere near the level of the other two, but they're okay. For those who don't know (like myself until just now): The Excite series since Truck and Pilotwings Resort. Kinda pales compared to Metroid Prime and Luigi's Mansion, huh? :P

Anyway yeah, more Western team-ups would be good. Expand that portfolio. Fill gaps in release schedules. You can do it, Nintendo...just try already!
