@PokeTune
You're comparing 3rd Party ports of current Gen games on Wii U to 1st party test renders on PS4. All of the ports on Wii U aren't even using all 3 cores and they operate with coding not made to utilize the modern tech (multi threading) in Wii U. If nothing from Nintendo at E3 impresses, I would have to agree with you. Let's wait until then at least. Sony has a history of showing over performance renders of what their consoles will actually produce early on. Remember the PS3 early demos and promises...

I'm really getting tired of this talking point. If 3rd parties didn't give Nintendo fans gimped ports with little to no support after release, maybe we would buy their games. Do they think we're stupid? We get late releases without the full features and we're supposed to swoon? We can't help that we're spoiled by Nintendo's quality and we expect games to not be buggy, unfinished crap with day one dlc and game modes that shoud be in the game sold to us cause they are greedy...

A list of consoles with "slow" sales starts and some with their launch games
NES
SNES - 2 games at launch (Super Mario World, F-Zero)
N64 - 2 games at launch (Super Mario 64, Pilotwings)
PS1 - weak launch games (many analysts consider the weakest lineup)
Gamecube - (a now highly revered console for some reason)
Xbox
Xbox 360 - (sold worse than Wii U after 6 months)
PS3 - (sold worse than Wii U after 6 months)

I realize I have consoles older than a lot of you guys running around with your heads on fire about Wii U so I felt a little perspective and history was in order...

@Peach64 Anyone twist his words when he said a platform he is not even developing anything for is "current gen." Sometimes your need to sound like the objective unbiased fan who is right down the middle on a Pro Nintendo site sometimes clouds your messaging.

The guy could no longer take the heat fro his comments and did a bit of damage control. Just like the the FEZ developer. "I'm a Nintendo fan guys... honest I am! Don't hit me!"

I'm just tired of hearing about every Tom, Dick, and Harry (many of which are just suits and not developers) that has never done anything with Nintendo before being tasked to tell us they still aren't doing anything with Nintendo. Why is this news? Making a game for Wii U or 3DS... that's news. Your Wii U development kit broke because it sucks... that's news. You're name is EA and Nintendo hurt your feelings so now you want to hurt theirs... that's news (I guess). But if you grew up as a little kid and Nintendo was your daddy and now you're angry because Nintendo never molested you (South Park reference)and you feel entitled that they should now come to you and kiss you on the forehead and tell you all the ways you are more special than other developers (Anchorman reference), that's not news...

You can upgrade your own storage for much cheaper than Nintedo would charge you and Nintendo knows this. That's why they want you to have the freedom to decide how much space you want to pay for instead of forcing you to buy a $260 3DS when you may not need 64GB of space cause maybe you don't download that much. I like freedom better.

@R-Moss You don't need an account system to upgrade your card. All you have to do is plug your card into a card reader for your computer (you can get a USB SD card reader for $5) and copy the drag the files onto your computer and move them to a bigger card. It's also a good way to back up your games in case your card gets damaged. The games will work as long as you play them on the 3DS you downloaded them on...

siddyp00h commented on Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup Is Revealed:

@Evergreen
Because each game needs to be coded for off screen play as well as Miiverse features with each needing their own communities. Can you say system overload. Everyone would be back on here crying that Nintendo Network is down and/ or super slow. This stuff aint magic. It requires resources and man hours...

siddyp00h commented on Talking Point: The Wii U's Identity Crisis:

This is silly. Wii U's biggest marketing problem is Wii U games. Looking at the current games list there is not much reason to pay $300-350 for games that you can get on your current console. When Wii U gets games that say "I need to get this console to play that," the system will sell. I have a Wii U with 15 retail games and 9 digital. But I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan who sold his PS3 and threw out his RROD (for the 3rd time) Xbox 360. Wii U needs Mario Kart, 3D Mario, and yes Wind Waker HD. Then you'll see it selling well.

When something isn't doing well, it's easy to take a magnifying glass and point out silly, unimportant "issues" and make them "definately the problem." The best way to market your system is not with niche features or gimmicky advertising. You do it with must have games, and if you own a PS360, Wii U doesn't have those... YET!
