Okay here's how Game Freak can fix the metagame:

1. Allow user generated servers. This way if I want to play with Smogon Ou rules, I can without having to trawl through forums to find opponents. Let us create a server with the rules we want to play by so that we don't have to use simulators. At the moment, whats to stop my random matchup opponent from using OP pokemon like speed boost blaziken? And why can't I give leftovers to my Ferrothorn AND my Cresselia?

2. Remove IVs or give us a Pokemon rental service (like pokemon stadium), which would let us design our own perfect, legit pokemon in-game and restrict us to only using them online? I spent 100 hours (over 4 days) RNG abusing, ev training and level grinding 2 teams of 6 pokemon on White 2. I flat out refuse to do it again. This is the reason people cheat, so if we could obtain these pokemon quickly and easily in-game, there'd be no need to.

And that's it. The metagame becomes accessible and fun.

@gaby_gabito I understand your confusion. It might sound weird if you're not used to it but being the sufferer of something is basically the same as being the recipient of something. In this case, the title could have been "soul hackers receives/experiences slight delay..." The only difference between the two is that 'suffers' implies the delay is a negative thing, which therefore makes it the more efficient word to use in this scenario. That doesn't mean that the word 'suffer' is necessary though, only that it works within the context.

Man, can we never get an Atlus game on time? I know its only a week but still. Clearly they intend to have most of their games published in Europe now; couldn't they give Nintendo of NISA or whomever the greenlight a little earlier? Perhaps even when we're still hyped for the games.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but wasn't part of Operation Rainfall about being able to play those games in one's native language? I don't understand why people continue to use it as an argument for region locking. I assume many people wanted these games to be localised because they didn't want to play them in Japanese, although i'm sure the idea of paying for a new console dosen't appeal to many. Even if lots of people do import a game, who's to say they won't be willing to pay for it again to play it in their own language?

rsaleh12 commented on Soapbox: Why Region Locking Is A Total Non-Issue:

Nintendo is doing a great job releasing games quickly in multiple regions but what about leaving the decision up to the publisher like microsoft did with the 360? Nintendo could still lock 1st party games, which are by far the biggest sellers anyway and publishers like Atlus wouldn't have to lose out on profits by outsourcing to NISA and others for EU releases because they could make their games region free.
