They'll probably give a mention to Bravely Default, which is coming west next year.

I hope they bring up the 3DS DQVII remake, and although unlikely, I'd be thrilled if the Chaos Rings trilogy came to 3DS.

Nothing for me this week (I still have to get THE STARSHIP DAMREY, and the Zelda Oracle games hit next week, so I'm good though).

Still, I wouldn't say this is a bad week for 3DS. Denpa Men (one of the eShop's best offerings) is on discount, and I don't think any of us have the right to disregard Groove Heaven at this point (sure, it's a game I'm not personally interested in, but it is still just as likely to be good, as it is to be bad, and anyone should know that even if there's only one game in an update, if it's a good game, that makes it a good week by default).

I played this for the first time thanks to Club Nintendo (played on Wii), and yeah, it deserves all the praise it gets.

I don't know if it tops Fusion as my favorite in the series, but it's definitely a top notch experience. I love the way it guides you, without letting you know you're being guided (I recently saw a YouTube video about the game's "hidden tutorial").

I'm very interested in THE STARSHIP DAMREY, but I'll wait for a review.

I don't have a Wii U, so I can't take advantage of 30¢ Super Metroid, but that's okay because I got it on my Wii through Club Nintendo :)

Good for those of you that have a Wii U!

I only have a Wii, so I decided to jump at the chance to redeem this. I haven't beat it yet, but it's been a fantastic experience so far (just beat Ridley).

I don't think it was poor timing, either. While I'm sure it was annoying to Wii U owners who redeemed it, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of CN members still don't have a Wii U (given it's lacking sales), meaning the upcoming 30¢ deal doesn't affect the majority of users.

RR529 commented on Club Nintendo Rewards Updated for May:

I already have both Super Mario RPG & 3D Classics: Excitebike, and the other two don't interest me.

I don't have any coins anyways, so I'm not bummed.

SMRPG is a great title though. If you don't yet have it, now's the perfect time to pounce.

I'm trying to save up for a retail title, but I may just cave in & get these Guild 02 titles instead.

I love Liberation Maiden & Crimson Shroud. Unlike other eShop titles, these actually feel like bite sized retail titles (that's not to say other eShop titles are bad, BTW), and this new bunch looks to have the same quality.

I loved the first (my second favorite eShop title), but I think I'm going to hold out on this one (and the Oracle Zeldas) for awhile.

All my SD space is filling up, so I may take a break from downloads, to try and save enough for a couple of retail releases.

If you're into RPGs, give Picdun 2 a DL. It's no Denpa Men or Crimson Shroud, but it's still well worth it's price tag. The puzzles can get grueling later on, as well (heck, I still think I have two floors left).

If you're interested in Marvel or pinball, grab Marvel Pinball 3D as well.

Ah, I remember seeing this on NOJ's website months ago.

Glad it turned out good, but I'm not all that into puzzlers, so I'll give it a pass (I hope everyone else enjoys it, though).

RR529 commented on Review: Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo (3DS eShop):

@Captain_Balko, TBH I didn't think Mudds was that great, either.

It didn't look convincingly retro (it looked too "plastic" to me, and didn't capture the vibe as well as Cave Story, Mighty Switch Force!, and VVVVVV, IMO). The difficulty did take the cheap route later on (numerous off screen enemy attacks, and leaps of faith. Issues VVVVVV, MSF!, and Cave Story avoided, while still being challenging). It was wholly unoriginal in both gameplay, and theme (mud monsters, really?).

It's certainly not a bad game, though. The music was great (although VVVVVV, MSF!, and Cave Story have soundtracks just as great), it has one of the best uses of stereoscopic 3D, and the gameplay is very polished. It's a good game for sure, but it is also one of the most overrated titles on eShop, IMO.

This is off topic though, so this is all I'll say on the matter.

I think we don't know enough about whoever left it there, to speculate on what their motives were (it could have been an idiot trying to cause a panic, a kid could have accidentally left it outside after playing with it, or any number of things inbetween).

However, with recent events in mind, the police did the right thing (better be safe than sorry, after all).

This is going to be amazing! ALttP was my first zelda, and my second favorite in the series, so I can't wait.

Also, how can you not like the art style? It's the same style of ALttP's official artwork, so nothing else could be more fitting for a game such as this!

RR529 commented on First Impressions: The Legend of Zelda 3DS:

I love ALttP, so I'm eagerly awaiting this! I love the fact that they've brought the original art style to life!

@AbeVigoda, so if you start with Twilight Princess, you're not allowed to give an opinon on the series (regardless of the fact that they may have played many of the other Zelda titles afterwards)?

Lots of content this week, but there's nothing I'm interested in that I don't already have.

Hope people give Liberation Maiden & Crimson Shroud a shot. They're two of the best games on eShop.

@Windy, I hope you enjoy Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy! It really is a great game!

RR529 commented on Review: LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins...:

It sounds like it's just too ambitious. The gameplay, scope, and amount of content seem to rival the Wii U version (which is actually quite an accomplishment), but it's all just too much for the 3DS to handle.

Maybe they should have tried a more linear approach, and gone without the open world here.

RR529 commented on New Legend Of Zelda Title Confirmed For Ninten...:

Well, I know what I'm getting for Christmas! :)

Seriously, ALttP is one of my favorite games of all time, so I hope this delivers!

Also, why are people complaining about the art style? You people do realize that this is the art style used in ALttP, don't you? (as in the art style used for the official artwork for the game. Thus this isn't a "new" art style, and it makes perfect sense).

RR529 commented on Club Nintendo Rewards Updated With Some Retro ...:

Super Metroid for me (I don't have a Wii U). It'll give me a good reason to dust off my Wii (the last game I played on it was Super Mario RPG).

It'll be good to finally play the only main series Metroid I haven't played (although I sort of wish I could get it on 3DS, so I could have all 4 on one system, lol).

RR529 commented on Time to Celebrate the Two Year 3DS Anniversary...:

Glad to see KH:DDD on there. It's the best title on 3DS, and is the best entry in the series outside of the two main entries (IMO, of course).

Also, the reason it's probably on there, is because there wasn't much else released during that summer, and they needed something to fill that spot (the only other games of note from that time period were Heroes of Ruin & Theatrhythm, and KH probably outsold both those titles).

Hope it arrives for you guys in EU soon! It really is the best sprite based platformer you can get from the eShop, IMO (not to mention that it came in second to Crimson Shroud in the Nintendo Life Community Best eShop title tournament, which was held in the eShop forum).
