puddinggirl commented on Poll: How Important is Dual / Second Screen Ga...:

I think dual screen works the best and only works on handhelds simply because it's small. It's also the reason why I love my 3DS so much - such an unique experience.

However, I find it annoying to have a 2nd screen to look at other than my huge flat screen for console games.

@Lasermaster123 Harvest Moon is a very different game not only because you are always under the pressure of completing tasks, it doesn't really give you a sense of an open world but more of a guided/pre-determined experience of "being a farmer".

AC on the other hand, makes players feel like the character is actually living in the town (open world). Like what others have mentioned, you don't HAVE to do anything to enjoy the game if you don't want to. And there are SO many small things which will surprise you and make you smile at the same time.

I've NEVER had a Nintendo console and bought a 3DS XL for this game.

It's one of the best decisions that I've made on gaming. This game still amazes me with its attention to details, intricacy and sense of humor.

puddinggirl commented on Poll: Are You in the DLC Brigade?:

I'm really not a fan of DLCs coz it always seems like a convenient excuse to release unfinished games. And even those that are done properly don't really add much experience to the game. So I don't see myself getting any DLCs even for games that I absolutely love.

I hope not. One of the biggest charm of AC is you don't need to worry about getting nickel and dimed by the freemium system and just enjoy/create contents freely.

And if they do eventually, I hope they are treading this VERY carefully. It's so easy to slip into making generic and unfinished games with the freemium system.
