Prof_Clayton commented on Pachter: Nintendo Made The Right Decision In S...:

I think this is an excellent decision made by Nintendo, for multiple reasons:

During e3, everybody will be checking out the new XBox and Playstation. If you try and discuss what are mainly the same games as the past year (minus a 30 minute spiel on Nintendo Land) you won't hold interest. The other systems will be new, and will immediately claim the attention of millions around the world, which means Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart U stand little chance.
Nintendo also needs to make money, and by hosting a huge expensive presentation, when nobody is watching, seems rather pointless, as it is a loss of money.
In this case, it is a case of the negatives outweighing the positives.
If they are smart, a few days after the other presentations have died down, a Nintendo Direct will come out detailing new games. Otherwise they will just be lost in the shuffle.

Happy Anniversary Nintendo Life! :D I've been here over a year, and have not found one misleading review, troll (that managed to make it through @tbd), and other things commonly found on other sites. Good job and keep up the excellent work! :3

Prof_Clayton commented on WayForward Confirms Mighty Switch Force 2 For 3DS:

I honestly didn't love this game. The platforming just felt... uninspired and easy. All you had to do was take your time to win, but most people rushed to get a good time.
But the visuals are certainly top-notch as well as the overall production values. But please include a noticeable story and / or tutorial please. :)

Prof_Clayton commented on 3DS Has The Potential To Find You A Partner:

I have this game, this is always on there, like a few every time I load it up. -.- They always get responses, although usually its girls looking for guys.
Seriously, some of these have made it to the best of the week before. >:[

Prof_Clayton commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:

My goal is to beat 3 games before I buy FE: Awakening next weekend. So I'm going for The Legend of Zelda: OoT 3D (almost even with ya there Orla :P) Pikmin, and Super Paper Mario. Hopefully I'll start Pikmin 2 (which I'm waiting to play until I beat Pikmin first).

Prof_Clayton commented on Emergency Maintenance Scheduled for Nintendo O...:

Isnt it obvious? They decided to put the classis Google trick: "Do a barrel roll" into the eShops.
On a realistic note, maybe pokemon is getting an event? This is obviously no emergency, or it would be right now (or even tomorrow).
My best guess is that Nintendo is dumb and just realized that 5 year olds can access mature videos. :3

Prof_Clayton commented on Local Multiplayer Sneaks Up On Luigi's Mansion...:

Hmm.... I'd suspect based on the words "Local Multiplayer Mode" it is seperate from the main game. Possibly you are placed in a story mansion, and race to see who catches every ghost first.
It shouldn't be co-op based on the wording.

Just finished. Thanks for saying I'm amazing. ;)
As for what could convince me to buy one, there really wasn't much to pick except lower price (since I have very little money).

This looks really good; I know 3 people who are buying a 3DS just for this.
As for this being the most bankable franchise, it could be true. However, whenever I ask a Non-Nintendo player what their favorite Nintendo series is; it's Zelda.

Prof_Clayton commented on GameStop Sales of Wii U Are Reportedly "Slight...:

GameStop not loving it means it was a meh launch. They basically are the major place anyone would buy one here. Unless everyone went to Walmart for some reason, this isn't good. At a gamestop here (at a mall inbetween 2 major neighborhoods) 2 people bought them launch day at Midnight at GameStop; I know them both.
Still, I hope this doesn't end up like 3DS.
