I'm so conflicted on this game. It must be a good story to score that highly despite its faults, but I've read these kinds of stories before.
If it goes on sale I'll probably buy it.

I think this is an excellent decision made by Nintendo, for multiple reasons:

During e3, everybody will be checking out the new XBox and Playstation. If you try and discuss what are mainly the same games as the past year (minus a 30 minute spiel on Nintendo Land) you won't hold interest. The other systems will be new, and will immediately claim the attention of millions around the world, which means Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart U stand little chance.
Nintendo also needs to make money, and by hosting a huge expensive presentation, when nobody is watching, seems rather pointless, as it is a loss of money.
In this case, it is a case of the negatives outweighing the positives.
If they are smart, a few days after the other presentations have died down, a Nintendo Direct will come out detailing new games. Otherwise they will just be lost in the shuffle.

I usually just do both. It's helpful because if I lose my 3DS, still have half my games. If I lose my retail game bag, I still have half my games. :3

I'm going to get anything that unlocks important things. Specifically the ones that Unlock Classes. Whenever I have a few extra bucks on the eShop, it finally has a great place to be spent.

I honestly didn't love this game. The platforming just felt... uninspired and easy. All you had to do was take your time to win, but most people rushed to get a good time.
But the visuals are certainly top-notch as well as the overall production values. But please include a noticeable story and / or tutorial please.

Yay for Paper Mario! Got it an hour ago, and been loving it since. :3

My goal is to beat 3 games before I buy FE: Awakening next weekend. So I'm going for The Legend of Zelda: OoT 3D (almost even with ya there Orla ) Pikmin, and Super Paper Mario. Hopefully I'll start Pikmin 2 (which I'm waiting to play until I beat Pikmin first).

By not buying it, you will just make Ubisoft further mistreat its Nintendo fan base. If more people buy it on Wii U, they will come to respect Nintendo.

I don't see myself using Miiverse very much, but these improvements sound like a good step forward. Although younger kids on the interwebs can still add strangers. Because I doubt they will know many kids with a Wii U.

On a realistic note, maybe pokemon is getting an event? This is obviously no emergency, or it would be right now (or even tomorrow).
My best guess is that Nintendo is dumb and just realized that 5 year olds can access mature videos. :3

Hmm.... I'd suspect based on the words "Local Multiplayer Mode" it is seperate from the main game. Possibly you are placed in a story mansion, and race to see who catches every ghost first.
It shouldn't be co-op based on the wording.

Well, I think I may have to get this. Depends on playstyle and ratings.

@SanderEvers As in, 2 on 2 battles and each player uses 1 pokemon each. At least that's how I interpreted it.

@WoottWinds That hasn't been in the past few games, sorry.

I'm definitely picking this up, as it has more content than the 3ds version. I'll buy if it's under $20 (I'd guess about $15).

As for what could convince me to buy one, there really wasn't much to pick except lower price (since I have very little money).

This looks really good; I know 3 people who are buying a 3DS just for this.
As for this being the most bankable franchise, it could be true. However, whenever I ask a Non-Nintendo player what their favorite Nintendo series is; it's Zelda.

AC:NL > Layton #6 > Weege's Mansion > Everything else > The obvious choice, "Call of Duty: Rabbids".
