Funny I recall my wii getting more play than my ps3/xbox 360, I've never had a dull period with it between the vc or getting a new retail game. You just had to search for the fun games since noone advertised for their wii games.

@Eien1239 Actually it doesn't need to support the off-tv play as for the 2nd screen, it takes a couple lines of code according to the darksider's team. Nitnendo doesn't require multiplayer or trophy, so right there is a couple lines of code the engine wouldn't need.

We got to look at this as a new console and the wii remote as a seperate accessory (much like the move). It isn't always gonna be supported, even if it would happen to be nice for some games.

@rayword45 for the same reasoning as the wii u, i think it would be hard to replicate the 2nd screen on 1 screen like the vita.

@pntjr You'd be surprised i played them on my wii since i softmodded it and they look no worst than an snes game

I think yoshi's Epic Yarn would have sounded better, since The last yoshi game was yoshi's story, nintendo could have said "yarn an epic story in yoshi's epic yarn" or something cheesy like that.

i don't personally have one, but from what i've seen the kids who play it also use them as toys so for 8 dollars you get the chracter and you can play with it as well. So tbh its more like collecting hot wheels for some kids.

Might get resident evil 3d if it is discounted and has the deleted save file that the japanese eshop release is getting.

Well i'm definitely picking up bittrip saga as that is insanely cheap. Would pick up piliot wing, but that is so over priced i kinda feel bad for anyone picking it up.

Say what ya will, the ds is probably gonna sale a bit for the next few years it's cheap, the games are cheap and it's durable for kids, might as well give a few more choices.

I'm not surprised, every game developer has it's downs and up.

Miis of course, and i'd assume mario or maybe even donkey kong, if nintendo really wants too

@JDesensitized it wouldn't change it that mcuh as the control is still digital though it helps in games that require your character to turn in circles ala super mario 64

And not a single ounce of talent in the bunch, nintendo should make a pandora app

@joco84 as an onlive user i know on some games a 10 minute demo isn't always the best because of length intros

Hopefully this gives retro more popular names to work on because from the sound of it they helped the game tremendously from a programming stand point

If i was nintendo i would just tell them to shut up tbh

wow from someone as little as a publisher for casual games, he really has no right to say things like that to a huge hardware company, especially when the other companies lost money for the longest time

hmm i kinda hope that both win tbh because with the wii it was often great for both, but the hardcore games where fewer than the casual games

Hopefully all the wii u games support the classic controller also, maybe even an updated one with rumble functions and analog triggers then i would be very happy love the classic controller

Here is what i think nintendo should do they should make one game system without the phone part and then have a separate verson without it, it would be good for phones and good for handhelds, but KEEP buttons on it

the reason why it is 60 fps per second is so that when the 3d is on it will split that into 30 fps per eye and wont have to drop alot of detail, and if they have it less that 60 it would look very choppy in 3d

id have to agree look over at the ps360 games they all have something to do with shoot, and not only do we have the best ones, we also have the most diverse, there is something for everyone on the wii its just a matter of finding the games

i wonder if you can save over old games, or corrupt it somehow, im sure someone will find a way around it

somehow i wouldn't doubt if the storyline was just some kid named zelda having a dream and the player is just in the dream as link

well i dont think consoles will ever die, sure they will become more digital distributed, but think about this not everyone has internet or fast internet, and if everything is downloaded then it will take awhile to download and take up alot of storage, but i culd see something like onlive becoming used more in consoles when fast enough internet becomes more widespread

@thesignpainter even if they hit a wall with realism, there could always be an improvement relating to games like okami, celda, and other games that use stylized graphics

still kinda wish that nintendo would make it instead of sega, because nintendo seems to have a better track record with games, but so far its looking good

wow i'm kinda surprised by looking at the screenshot it looked kinda like crap, but then its one of the better reviewed 3ds games, considered me a little bit shocked

I'm sure they could still add it later down the line if they use hdmi cables, look at the ps3 or even xbox360 sure no first party games but a few 3d third party games so I'm sure we will see it either way

looks good, but if i want to know bout the gameplay b4 i would consider this over ridge racer bc they could easily improve the graphics and gameplay considering some of the negative press
