not sure about this game, need more info. seemed like that one second at the very end was the only shot of actual gameplay.
if its turn based strategy rpg, is it sort of like steamworld heist then? cause that was awesome.

local gamestop wouldnt let me preorder one so i went over on friday at 1130am and bought one, they wouldnt let me buy a second one for my brother. they had about 10 of them left at this point. so i went home and called him and told him about it. he went over at about 230pm and got THE VERY LAST ONE. surprised that these went like hottcakes but geez, if you got one, you're one of the lucky ones too.

cripes, i would LOVE to play this game. it looks right up my alley. you know, it really wouldn't hurt for them to release a new 2D metroid every once in a while. especially if they've given up on making metroid prime games. ah well. same goes for castlevania. the 2D ones were always the best (no offense LoS).

ouroborous commented on Intriguing Nintendo Patent Points to 'Suppleme...:

weird. if nintendo does not release a fully portable console and crush the competition, they are idiots. seriously, fallout 4, the whole game, on the go on a giant gamepad system, which you can also connect to a tv at home, who wouldnt want that???
whatever this cloud biz is, i dont care. sadly nintendo is dumb and will most likely make something that no one actually ever wanted..

ouroborous commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass...:

despite the forced use of the touchscreen for controls (i can hear the collective groan from people reading this), the game is STILL 100percent worth playing. and the ability to write on the maps and make notes (if a bit limited due to pen vs map size) is one of the best thing included in any game ever.
seriously nintendo, writable maps in every zelda, esp with the gamepad, duh.

ouroborous commented on This Limited Edition Luigi's Mansion Game Boy ...:

uh, is there anything special about this gameboy? is it backlit? apparently its only a gameboy color, so thats totally lame. does it at least glow in the dark? dont get me wrong, i love me some weegee's mansion, but dont see the point here. would be cooler if it was a 3ds rearranged into the shape of a gb color, with like a slideaway cover for the bottom screen or somethin so it still looks kinda authentic.

ouroborous commented on Xenoblade X Developers Talk About the Game's C...:

was xenogears a related game? if so, i thoroughly enjoyed it back in the day but haven't played anything else xeno since... until now. looking forward to xenoblade for wii U. picked up the 3DS game but will have to get back to that at some point, I have quite the backlog of rpgs for 3DS at this point.

ouroborous commented on Poll: Nintendo's Free-to-Play Experiments - Ar...:

badge arcade is fun, if almost utterly pointless. but it does scratch the gotta-get-em-all icth. i fully intended to just take what i could get for free and call it done... but then there were pikmin badges, and so i had to have them all. now as it turns out, badges come and go, but they always come again. however, if you want that really hard to reach one, you gotta pony up the cash. its very tempting because it is cheap, and it is fun, and it is addictive. so in the end, i am okay with tossing nintendo a few bucks here and there, i just gotta try not to get carried away. but i dont do this sort of thing often, so its my guilty pleasure allowance for the time being, lol.

ouroborous commented on The Super Famicom is 25 Years Old:

ah i remember the day that i got my first super nintendo, i had bought super mario world and a rare game called xardion separately ahead of the big purchase and then got the snes that came with zelda 3. whooo what a day. i remember playing zelda 3 for the first time on the big tv in the living room, mind blowing.

americans and our uptight weird body issue censorings, its mostly irrelevant but who doesnt like more options or some eye candy in a game? its not like kids are gonna play this game (now please explain bayonetta) so im kind of surprised anyone bothered to take it out. slap an M on it and just call it done. ive seen way more graphic stuff in other games and if anything the super kid friendly thing with nintendo is ultimately hurting them these days.

ouroborous commented on Editorial: It's Far Too Soon to Go Download-On...:

good article, i agree that downloads and physical media should co-exist. the option to download is great (if the system can unquestionably accommodate the file size natively and indefinitely) but people like myself will always admire hard copies and often purchase games just because it is a special edition that includes some sweet swag.

ouroborous commented on Poll: The Tricky Issue of Retail Games as Down...:

really a shame, i would really like to play this game. but with the eshop games, updates, and save files that i already have on my deluxe wii U, i can't even download the free-to-play copy of this game, let alone the full version. i am not going to buy an external drive just to download games and i would always rather have a physical copy. unfortunately you apparently cannot even use flash media for game storage either, which puts the easy option totally out. i have no intent to buy any other retail-priced games, so whats the point of an additional hard drive for one game? a hard drive that you supposedly cannot also use for data storage via your pc. such a shame.
also i really don't want to pay 50 bucks for a download, sorry but full game or no, thats ridiculous.
and it would take forever given my very slow internet connection. its all downside in the huge-file-size download-only arena.
now if the wii U actually had a reasonable sized hard drive, it might be a different story.

ouroborous commented on Mario Memories: Conquering the First Level in ...:

how about how totally different the mood is in the second, underground level? its all dark and ominous, i remember that goomba in between the pillars below the coin block being a particular challenge when i was just a wee sprat. how funny it is now to look back on that.

ouroborous commented on Mighty No. 9 Signature Edition Will Not Be Ava...:

you gotta be kidding me, it comes with like 3 figures and we dont get it? fudge, well i pretty much have to buy a ps4 for fallout 4 so whatever, guess ill make this a purchase for that too. well, if the reserves arent ALREADY all gone.

ouroborous commented on Book Review: 33 1/3 - Koji Kondo's Super Mario...:

excellent, 8bit music was a staple of my childhood and i still find it to be particularly and surprisingly evocative considering what they had to work with back then. some of those game tracks are truly epic masterpieces.

ouroborous commented on Splatoon Global Testfire Suffers Major Problem...:

was fun, got into a session right off and we won and i spilled the most ink, haha. go paintroller! then the server crashed or whatever and i couldnt get back in for like 30 or 40 min but then it worked again. pretty fun, though i could generally give less of a toot about multiplayer anything so what we were allowed to play for the demo would have very little replay value for me. but it was fun so i guess im somewhat interested in the full release now.

ouroborous commented on Review: Fullblox (3DS eShop):

hey a new pushmo game, yay! here's the deets, its for 3DS this time, free to download, $10 if you just buy all the parts of the game at once, which i recommend if you've already played all the other games in the series and know what you're getting into. to buy the parts separately costs $14 so it's not a bad price or a bad deal. also, you can add funds directly while making the purchase in game, which you have to make the purchase in game, can't eshop that part.
most important, the US title is STRETCHMO. it takes about 630 blocks to download, in case you wanted to know.

klonoa, one of my fav games of all time. sadly the first one is the best one, however, i will always be happy if htey decide to make any kind of new klonoa game. i always skipped this one cause i thought that it was the volleyball one. who knew! guess i have a new adventure to enjoy after all.

ouroborous commented on Guide: How to Complete a System Transfer from ...:

wow neither the nlife guide nor the nintendo guide really covers what happens during the transfer.
first, i was transferring from a 3DSXL to a New 3DSXL and the transfer died at 75% every time. luckily, this didn't screw anything up and both were just as they were before i attempted the transfer. it kept giving me a "no response" "local wireless error". of course there was NOTHING on the internet to help with this problem.
finally i restarted both and tried for like the 5th time, happened to leave it at the point before the pikmin start moving stuff overnite. finished the next afternoon and it actually worked.
however, the part where you swap memory cards was really hinky, it wasnt at all like they said.
but i followed the instructions, with significant doubt, and it managed to work out just fine.
the instructions aren't very clear or specific though.
like the new 3ds but the whole having to open the battery case to get at the tiny microSD card they provide sucked, i almost had to butcher the case to get it open and the new stylus was no help at all. i sure hope i never have to get at it again.

ouroborous commented on Feature: Five Remastered Games We'd Love to Pl...:

dear lord pikmin 1 and 2 for 3ds would be the greatest thing that ever happened. much better than that worthless release of them on wii. now as nice as wind waker HD was, it would have been super great to finally get it on a handheld like the 3ds. oh well, perhaps in another generation or two it will finally happen.

ouroborous commented on Talking Point: The Limited Edition Battle With...:

I wish companies cared anything about scalpers compared to pirates. who cares about roms when you have people scooping up ALL of the pre-orders and selling them on ebay of all lousy things and making tons of money doing it. at which point special edition anything is only available at highway robbery prices via ebay jerks. at which point, what's the point of spec ed anything.
and yea, the totally random announcement and release of ltd ed pre-orders makes it impossible to get to it quickly enough.
and a one order per customer limit hurts no one but scalpers. who incidentally, dont care about the merchandise or memorabilia at all and only want the profit.
it would be nice if people who actually want the items could get them.

ouroborous commented on Gallery: A Closer Look at Japan's Majora's Ma...:

very nice, although actually getting any kind of preorder anything these days in NA is so entirely impossible as to not even be worth considering an actual possibility or be worth trying. ugh. its a sad state of affairs i tell ya.

ouroborous commented on Launch of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask N...:

well its officially impossible to get any kind of special edition anything. youre always too late when you get to the store, you get lucky and still dont get it on release day, gamestop employees are scalping everything for them selves and flogging it on ebay, and nintendo pulls stock and cancels preorders. not to mention that NA usually gets the least and crappiest of the bonus offers these days anyway. ugh. i give up.

ouroborous commented on 3DS Flashcard Users Playing ROMs Online Report...:

who cares about anybody playing roms of games from the last generation or even earlier? i mean seriously, who is that really hurting? nintendo is just lashing out like a jealous child and it will accomplish ultimately nothing since anyone who uses roms will just find another way or another console. sadly that may also mean that they shelve the 3DS for good too, so way to go nintendo, alienate your installed fanbase, great idea.
the whole war on piracy is pointless, its just bothersome at best and utterly ineffective. nintendo is losing basically no money except what they waste on trying to do the impossible.

ouroborous commented on Flipnote Studio 3D Now Available To North A...:

when you get to te ORDER NOW page and it subsequently crashes or boots you out of club nintendo altogether, dont sweat. just keep trying, it doesnt mess up your ability to ORDER the item. ie you dont have to wait and hope that an email with your code actually shows up.

ouroborous commented on Rumour: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Demo To Be Distr...:

sadly gamestop does suck, many of the people who work there are either ignorant to the world of video games, or just plain jerks. the state of bonus items for pre-orders, and pre-orders in general is a total sham. personally i am convinced that it's the gamestop employees who are sucking up all the limited edition stuff and flogging it on ebay before anyone at all gets a crack at it. with limited supply these days on that kind of thing, you basically have to work at gamestop to get anything special from nintendo at all.

as for this game, i havent been interested in the least, but i would try the demo if i could get it. but i dont plan on going to great lengths through some crazy gimmick to get the code for it....
