mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 5th March (Europe):
Tengami for me.
mrkuribo commented on GameStop Cancels European Rosalina amiibo Pre-...:
I hope Toon Link and Mega Man won't get rare here in Finland, so I can just go and pick them up from my local store. I would buy more of these if the prices weren't so ridiculous. 17 € is just too much for a tiny plastic figure and some places ask more than 20 €. Should be 10 € or less...
mrkuribo commented on Talking Point: The Wii U May be Best as One of...:
Wii U + PC for me. It's the best option in my opinion. Most of the games on PS4/XBone will come to PC at some point anyway. No reason to buy the other consoles for just a few exclusives.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 8th May (Europe):
Trine 2 is always on sale. Hah. They should just lower the price permanently...
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 7th November (Europe):
Very good week for me. I will get Wii Sports Tennis, Toki Tori, Pikmin 3 DLC and Korg M01D.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Confirms Miiverse for 3DS "Soon", Sma...:
@JoostinOnline That's not official app. I have it too on my phone. It's made by some fan and isn't really a full-blown app, since it just displays the browser version.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 29th August (Europe):
Nice. I can now update my Wii copy of Zelda for the U version. That's all I'm downloading this week - probably will buy Rayman for Vita instead or PC.
mrkuribo commented on Shadow of the Eternals Fails To Meet Funding Goal:
This game is a joke. Just stop with the kickstarters and fund it yourself, Dyack.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 22nd August (Europe):
Good thing there's a promo for the Street Fighters. But I don't know if I really need three of them...what is the best version?
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 25th July (Europe):
50€ for Pikmin? Hah, I paid only 36€ for my copy . Kirby is tempting but is there some kind of promotion for that if you already own the previous VC games?
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Reporting Technical Difficulties in O...:
Noticed this too when I was trying to access the Wii U eShop today. Only got error codes.
mrkuribo commented on Satoru Iwata Refutes Claim That Nintendo Is "S...:
Nintendo has a long history of making profitable consoles even when they're not selling as well as the competition. Wii U may be "doomed" at the moment but I'm sure it'll be just as profitable as other Nintendo systems in the past.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Blocks 3DS Flashcard With Latest Firm...:
Very good news.
mrkuribo commented on Talking Point: The Effortless Social Charm of ...:
Good article. I haven't done much online play in AC yet. I did met some Japanese people on the island but couldn't communicate with them well. I like to take lots of photos and post some of them to twitter - it's a really good feature that I hope will be in all Nintendo-games from now on.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo's Charlie Scibetta Explains the Benef...:
This is how all game development should be. Games are supposed to be fun to play. That's their main purpose and that's where the "art" of gaming lies. Too much emphasis is put on cinematic story-telling, marketing budgets and graphics nowadays, when all that matters is the gameplay and how fun that is. Thank god for Nintendo and indies, who make GAMES and not interactive, boring films.
mrkuribo commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Should Step Up for the...:
They should first get the eShop to actually, you know, work most of the time. Very often I get errors and yesterday I had to reset my Wii U because it got stuck in the eShop loading screen. Those download speeds are also laughably bad and it's one of the reasons why I don't buy any big, retail games from there.
mrkuribo commented on Miiverse Now Available In Your Browser:
Miiverse also works very well on the PSVita browser. 3DS just gives you an error message. Haha.
mrkuribo commented on Rumour: Take-Two To Reveal Next-Gen Versions o...:
I would be really surprised if it comes to Wii U.
mrkuribo commented on Witch & Hero (3DS eShop) Trailer:
Nice, it has a bump-system like the older Ys-games. Really oldschool .
mrkuribo commented on KORG M01D Music Workstation Hitting 3DS eShop ...:
That price is fair considering that this is a fully featured workstation based on the legendary M1-synth. This is not anything like Rytmik, which is very basic for serious music-making. Saving the MIDI-files on a SD-card means that it's also possible to continue working with the files on your computer software. Great. Definitely getting this as soon as it's released over here.
mrkuribo commented on Wii Mini Generating Little Interest in The UK:
No internet, no SD card, no GC-support and no component out. There's no reason for this thing to exist especially with that price. In Finland Wii mini costs 119 euros. Way overpriced.
mrkuribo commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
Probably Dragon Quest IX. I'm trying to finish it, so I can start part IV.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo - "Innovation is Important" for the 2...:
They could at least change the music. That would be enough innovation after all these years...
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Reveals Specific Dates For Wii U Virt...:
Already bought Balloon fight and will get the others too. Super Metroid and F-Zero for only 30 cents? Crazy. But why exactly are they offering SNES games too - I thought this campaign was about Famicom's 30th anniversary?
mrkuribo commented on Review: The Cave (Wii U eShop):
The demo had a horrible framerate plus there's no support for the gamepad-screen. Really lazy work from the developers. I'll just get the Steam-version instead when it goes on sale, if it's any better.
mrkuribo commented on Feature: Memorable Nintendo Direct Moments:
Fruits and a carrot obviously means that there's going to be a new Yoshi game where Yoshi also eats... a carrot that turns him/her/it into a rabbit (!). It will have a cameo by non-specific action figure and it's going to be released next Christmas.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Says The Play Limit On Demos Is Set B...:
I have no problems with the limits, since I never play any demo nearly that much.
mrkuribo commented on Review: Nintendo Land (Wii U):
Fun game for a while but you need other people to get the most out of it. I would probably give this a 7/10, since the single player hasn't kept me interested for long. Wouldn't pay 60 euros for Nintendo Land, good thing I got it with the premium pack. Soundtrack is very good, though - nice remixes of older classic songs.
mrkuribo commented on Wii U Struggles to Make an Impact in the UK So...:
Not enough interesting games, high price and bad marketing. No wonder it doesn't do so well.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 13th December 2012 (Europe):
Nothing for me this week, it seems....
mrkuribo commented on Review: Chasing Aurora (Wii U eShop):
Singleplayer-mode is too short and basic, so I won't be buying this. That pricetag is just too much for what you get. Maybe when/if it goes on sale...
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 30th November 2012 (Europe)...:
Laughable prices but this is Nintendo, so nothing new here. Downloadable games should be 35 euros top. I won't be needing any extra HDD - I just buy my games in physical form and only download smaller titles, like Nano Assault.
mrkuribo commented on Wii Mini Is Official And Has No Online Connect...:
No online or GC-support? So kinda pointless release then. But I bet that this will become a very expensive collector's item in the coming years, so anyone serious about collecting should get it while it's cheap.
mrkuribo commented on New Super Mario Bros. 2 Players Have Snagged O...:
Thanks Nintendo. Cool to have some free surprises once in a while .
mrkuribo commented on Review: Nano Assault Neo (Wii U eShop):
Never played the original but I might get this sometime from the eShop. Looks pretty good.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Provides Final Wii U Launch Line-Up f...:
I'll just get the deluxe/premium-bundle for now. Nintendo Land should keep me occupied for a while. But very good line-up - I would say it's better than what 3DS and even Wii had, although many of those multiplatform-games apparently have framerate-problems.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 22nd November 2012 (Europe):
Nothing for me this week it seems. Pilotwings and all the other retail downloads are way overpriced. It's a good idea to offer these bigger games on the eShop but until the prices are reduced significantly, I don't really see a point in buying any of them. I can get the boxed versions for much less.
I might get Animal Crossing in digital form, though, because it suits that game very well. But otherwise I just keep buying the cartridges.
mrkuribo commented on Zelda: Twilight Symphony Soundtrack Available ...:
I'll get the digital version when it's released. Physical copies are nice but there's no reason for me to pay that much for something that will just end up gathering dust on the shelf.
mrkuribo commented on Talking Point: Wii U and the Importance of Bac...:
Backwards compatibility is a big bonus for me. I have tons of Wii games that I haven't completed, so I can play them on Wii U when there's no interesting new games released. I also don't have to keep my Wii on the desk anymore, so that saves some space.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (Europe):
I'll probably download Picross. Never played any game in the series before.
mrkuribo commented on Watch: Japanese Nintendo Direct Live:
My body is ready and full of coffee and cookies. Hopefully we get some new info on Animal Crossing .
mrkuribo commented on New Super Mario Bros. 2 Will Cost £39.99 to D...:
Haha, no thanks. I just trade-in a couple of games and get the boxed copy for much cheaper. Thanks to Steam I don't buy any downloadable games unless they're 10 euros or less.
mrkuribo commented on Goemon And Ebisumaru Heading To 3DS eShop In M...:
Definitely buying this one. Goemon is one of my favourite game-series, I love the humour and catchy soundtracks.
mrkuribo commented on Wii U Box Art Breaks Cover:
It should be blue and white, that yellow is a bit distracting. But I like how that logo is in the middle.
mrkuribo commented on Wii Music Returns to UK All-Format Top 40:
Wii Music is actually a pretty good "game". I bought it at launch and spent many hours making my own arrangements of the different tunes. Very underrated title but it's probably because you kinda have to know something about music to fully enjoy it - it's not a rhythm game or a game at all really. They should make a sequel for Wii U that uses the motionplus, would be even better then.
mrkuribo commented on Now You Can 'Like' Wii U on Facebook:
Won't be liking this since I don't have a FB-account but I'll definitely follow the conference live on their website.
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 17th May 2012 (Europe):
I'll definitely try the Rayman demo and might buy Bird Mania, since it's so cheap.
mrkuribo commented on GameCube is Ten Years Old Today in Europe:
I got GameCube (the black one) at launch along with Luigi's Mansion. Nice game but just too short - thankfully the sequel should have more content . There was some really amazing games released for that little box, like Wind Waker (probably my favourite Zelda-game), Resident Evil 4 and TimeSplitters 2 (which I played A LOT).
mrkuribo commented on Sakurai: Dual Analogue Control in Kid Icarus: ...:
The controls are fine. Kid Icarus couldn't really work that well with analog aiming anyway because it's so hectic. I had problems when I first started to play but adjusting the reticle speed really helped a lot. ALWAYS CHECK THE OPTIONS before starting to play your games, people . I do sometimes get some hand pain but it's quite common with 3DS anyway since the system itself is so uncomfortable to hold. I think that those complaining about the stylus controls are probably same folk who don't understand motion controls and play FPS games with dual analog....
mrkuribo commented on Nintendo Download: 19th April 2012 (Europe):
I'm getting Colors! 3D this week then. Not going to buy the video since I already saw it once for free. I would pay for Shaun the Sheep episodes though, if I could then keep them on my 3DS. Sucks that you can't watch the older episodes again....
