Why don't most of us listen to music from 100 years ago? Because we appreciate the evolution of music. Similarly, that is why I don't like to play games that look exactly like those played on the atari 2600. Nostalgia is nice but not for video games

My favorite game ever because there is so much replay value. The mercenary mode, that was the name I think, is awesome. If I had a life sentence and could only bring a Nintendo and one gameinto my cell, it would b re4! Mos def!

Ive definitely gotten five dollars worth of enjoyment out of this. Very fun title. Except I wish there was some way I could show my masterpieces off to the world.

mrchills commented on Review: Mario Golf (Wii U eShop / N64):

I love this game. Im not a golfer. But this could be one of my favorite games ever (and resident evil4). Im not writing articles for nintendolife hence, I dont care too much about the variations between yoshi and wario. To me, the game is perfect. The bottom line is that this game is so simple to play, just hit that button twice, but its SO hard to master, and near impossible to complete. On a side note, that would be awesome if nintendo put those four characters on that you could only have gotten from the gameboy.

I love mario golf 64. The game is perfect. Nothing is easier than hitting that button twice to swing the club, but it gets SO difficult. And there really is so much game to play. Worth every cent. Sim City 64 would be awesome, but im sure licensing entanglements assure well never get it.

Heres a tip to the reporters at nintendolife - go easy on the term 'retro gaming'. Its used SO often in these articles, a reader might think that 'retro gaming' is actually the current state of wii u eshop games.

mrchills commented on Nintendo Download: 6th August (North America):

Someone please tell me why I could download more N64 games on the XBox 1 than the Wii u?
Loyal to Nintendo. Never had another system. All I want are more N64 games. Not to mention gamecube games. Oh well. Im always excited for thursday afternoon, and every time my little heart is dashed against the rocks. Picross would be cool. 3ds has like 20 versions of the game, and we dont have one. Sob.

I wouldnt intetpret that as against journalists. Thats nuts. A responsible journalist should acknowledge that some remarks could b lost in translation. Dude, dont b so angry and so desperate for confrontations. Journalists on the internet need a following, writing bitter and creepy articles isnt the way to do it.

Great game! But mario golf 64 might b my favorite if not, one of my favorite games ever. Theres so much to do, and its so easy to play but so difficult to master. I love that game . Considering there not making mario golf for wiiu, hope we get 64 with all the love in my little heart.

mrchills commented on We Can't Release Virtual Console Games Any Fas...:

What a disappointment the WiiU virtual console has been. Remember those enticing mentions of Gamecube being on there? The fact that they have an enormous library of great games from the past is really the only thing that makes Nintendo better than the competition. But by only releasing a miniscule fraction of these games they've hurt themselves. We get Ocarina today, which is awesome, but going on this rate, we'll have maybe three or four more N64 games before the next console. They've dug their own grave. You broke my heart Nintendo. But thanx again for Ocarina, been waiting a long time for this!

mrchills commented on Nintendo Download: 11th June (North America):

CURSES!!! Another month no wii games, no 64 games, and we still havent even gotten our first gamecube game! As if we were a starving school of fish, Nintendo tosses us a few scraps, and they figure that should hold us off for a while.

mrchills commented on Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the ...:

What a weird article. Essentially, you are attempting to justify why I should spend more for your product. Despite what the competition is priced at, and despite what the quality of your games might be, I should pay more for your games. It seemed as if you were trying to garner sympathy for the game developers, "The victims here are creators, be in absolutely no doubt of that". How about Ill pay $20 for your game if you buy my book? That certainly sounds like a good deal. You dont discuss the prices of indie games for xbox or playstation. I have always been just nintendo, so i wouldnt know. Out of curiosity, after I read your article I looked that up. How do you explain xbox could charge $1 for their games, but nintendo has to charge $20? It seems the answer to your problem, isn't bilking the consumer $20 for a game we could beat in three hours, but rather selling more wiiu. Divest your energy not in writing these sappy scripts about how tough it is for these game developers, but rather try helping nintendo sell more consoles. Make some great games that sell nintendos. That is what you should be trying to do.

Defend nintendos handling of their virtual console all you want, but with the greatest library of games, nintendo should be releasing more vc games. If only they released as many as on the wii, not to mention those vauge mentions of gamecube being on the wii u vc when the wii u first came out. Ive always been a devoted nintendo fan. The way theyve handled the wii u vc has made me a bitter old man.
