Yeah I was thinking after I got all the pokes in my dex I'd breed myself a team to take on the Battle Maison......This looks a bit too complex for me. I'm just looking forward to whatever events they'll come up with over the next period of time till the next pokemon game.

@electrolite77

I wasn't talking about expressing opinions. I'm talking about the people who present their opinions, and try to present themselves as authorities with experience on the subject, whose opinions automatically discredit others. I dunno, maybe we read people differently(as well as you can read people by their words via text). Maybe it's just a quirk that's noticeable to me, or maybe it's just me lol. But that's the way it sometimes comes across, in my view.

@TheRealThanos
Agreed. I just have a hard time understanding why some people get so negative, or doom and gloom, or upset, or even angry over.......what are basically toys. A hobby, meant to be for fun. I also have a hard time understanding why some people try to speak with authority on something they are completely clueless on (armchair analysts; how to run a global company; .......so basically most of the internet's attitude on any subject.) So maybe it was more of a comment on silly or utterly ineffective internet/gaming idiosyncrasies in general. Which are found in abundance here lol.

I have an idea guys(and gals). Let's solve Nintendo's problems by criticizing them by punching a keyboard with our sweaty fingers, while hunched over looking at a bright screen. I really hope that in everyone's comments, whether positive or negative, they realize that Mr. Iwata and the decision makers probably don't read through the comment boards of Western video game websites. No offense to anybody, but I hope they realize whatever we may learn, or not learn, by discussing it here, it doesn't affect Nintendo's decisions at all. So hopefully no one is actually getting upset by circumstances they have no control over.

I think this whole financial kerfuffle (great word, right) is just a bump on the road. As NL and other sites have pointed out, Nintendo is sitting on a mountain of cash. They can afford this. It's not the end of Nintendo at all. Honestly I think that Iwata is great. How many other companies in the world have a CEO that so affable and fun. Just look at that Nintendo Direct video with Luigi's Mansion 2 and Miyamoto, or at the various Iwata asks. This guy seems to have a great rapport with the developers in his company. (Yes, this makes me sound like a total armchair analyst, but that's my impression of the guy) I think these various calls of getting him fired are ridiculous. A bump in the road shouldn't automatically be getting us thinking of firing people. It is how it is, I really don't see the need to make Iwata a scapegoat.

I just wonder why the Vita stretch goal is so much earlier than the 3DS goal. Nothing against the Vita, but the 3DS install base is way way higher. To me at least, it would make more sense to port to the system that could get you the most potential sales first.

The test is "What was the intent behind the statement". Nothing within this article strikes me as having the intent of taking a swipe at anyone's beliefs. To me, such a thing would be inconsistent with the values of professionalism that NintendoLife so consistently exhibits. This site isn't some hypocritical sub-par website who lets users rampage around like bullies. They are actually professional.

I'm Christian too, and I can see where both sides are coming from. My advice is to refrain from throwing out personal attacks against people you don't even know. I can see why my fellow Christians are so sensitive about it, go spend a few weeks in any MMO, and you'll see just how religious people are treated by many of those in the gaming community. On the other hand, I can see why those who disagree think way too much is being read into this. It really comes down to personal experiences and how those experiences(or lack thereof) shape our perceptions. Just some food for thought.

Honestly I think the most immature thing about this is all of the people who are getting angry or upset about this "censorship". Honestly, judging by most of SE's recent FF games(including this one), you'd think all of the designers of female characters were middle-aged perverts. As for a previous comment about J-Rpgs not being a younger person's preference, rpgs have been my favorite genre my entire life. Since I was probably around 6. I know I'm not the only one. Honestly this is why I enjoy the earlier FF games more than the recent ones, fan service just doesn't appeal to me. And as for the censorship buzzword, I don't know about anyone else, but this doesn't strike me as censorship. Deliberately withholding facts and information about something is censorship. I don't think covering up chibi-style video game characters counts as censorship. You can go play the Japanese version if you want that so bad. But I cannot honestly equate that as censorship. Western culture could probably use less titillating entertainment anyway. That's my two cents. And to MetalKingShield, there is a difference between being prudish and being moral. Maybe you should switch out strange anti-sexuality values for strange appropriate and non-lust-centric sexuality values.

Ok this is going to be pretty random, but I just wanted to say that NintendoLife is the best gaming website I've encountered. (I honestly didn't know where else to put this comment, so I just picked a spot.) You maintain an environment of professionalism (i.e. lack of swearing/mocking other's beliefs/ actually keeping your opinions to opinion pieces, etc.) where every other gaming site I've gone to seems to be full of profanity, intolerance, and hypocritical behavior. You are actually professional. That's rare, and it's very much appreciated by me. So high fives for keeping it clean and fair for everyone involved.
