Lopezdm commented on Sam Fisher Shows Off His Abilities In This New...:

It looks pretty bad ass, the cqc is spot on. This IP has changed for the better over the years. It makes you feel bad ass when you take out 5 people and walk away like it was nothing. I still might hold off until the reviews come out though I have little time to play games and I don't really need another game gathering dust.

Lopezdm commented on South African Retailer Slices Wii U Price in Half:

@OorWullie yes, exactly. so why convert at all. most of the places I visited while in Asia took the us dollar anyway so why convert in the first place? sounds pretty stupid on your part and no one's else's problem but yours. hope that clears it up for you.

Lopezdm commented on Hardware Review: 3DS Circle Pad Pro XL:

I was thinking of buying this just because of comfort. I have big hands so the buttons on the the right side of the 3ds XL are still to close to the edge making me have to use my thumb in a odd angle. After a hour of that I feel like I am getting arthritis. So the added space would remedy that. I just don't know if 35.00 US is too much. I think 25 or 20 would have been a better price. I think I will wait.

Lopezdm commented on Aliens: Colonial Marines Cancelled on Wii U:

It’s not a huge surprise considering the sales numbers on the other consoles. It seems once again the Nintendo nation was dealt the bait and switch. I think that it’s unfair how dishonest that game developers and publisher are being with gamers. The video that was shown at the game show was nothing like the finished product. The video was better then the gold release of the game. That’s really just crazy considering the short amount of time that went into making the video footage compared to the rest of the game. If they would have continued the same kind of effort it would have been a better game. It’s just sad that there is no support for the Wii U at the moment. As the PS4 and Next Box come out the amount of money that it will take to develop games will be much higher then it is now. The costs of a game will increase as well. The Wii U will have the same development cost of the current gen and sell at the 59.99 while the PS4 and next box will range at 69.99 and 79.99 per game. I will not be supporting those consoles because I am not made of money.

Lopezdm commented on Talking Point: The Downside to Delayed Release...:

I find it hard to care about this game or the politics that go along with it. I know a lot of the buys they would have had left with the decision to delay. Now that people have forgotten about the game some what, Rayman stands the chance to sell almost thing like the last game they released. Rayman is not a must own game though fun to play its easily forgotten. It would have been better to release as promised and see how sales went and released if the demand was high enough. That would have avoided pissing people off and losing sales on the Wii U side of the market.

Lopezdm commented on Epic Games: Developers Can Use Unreal Engine 4...:

I knew the comments made before were just BS. The Wii U gets this rap for having no power but it will cost less money to develop for compared to the PS4 and Next box. I think we will see developers come back to Nintendo after the PS4 game sales are in. The PS4 games will cost 69.99 while Wii U games will sell at the current 59.99. Have fun trying to talk your parents into buying games for kids.

@AgentAPE Your right, most developers didn't a reason for the next gen to come right now. As for the comment made above, I think that being a little more professional would go a long way. I would like data on why Unreal 4 couldn't run on the Wii U not some ego pushed answer that we got.

Next gen games will require a 10.00 bump? Nintendo is releasing it's games at the same price or less (59.99). I just don't see playing 70 bucks for a game when that used to be the price for the collectors edition. If there is a 10 dollar bump every 5 years then we will paying 100 before we know it. I think in the next 2 years that developers will see that developing for Sony and Microsoft is a bigger risk then NIntendo due to the fact that one shitty game could close their doors due to the amount of money invested. We are very jaded as gamers and we are hard on games. If you hear that a game sucks from anyone you are less inclined to buy it. If Nintendo has the same game for 10 bucks less what game are you going to go with?

Lopezdm commented on Epic Games Rules Out Unreal Engine 4 For Wii U:

Epic games isn't one of those developers that doesn't have a deadline but so many other developers do. I wonder how much money it's going to take to make a PS4 and 720 game next to a the Wii U. With 2 to 4 year turn around on games what will the quality be? Will developers make any money or die out because they didn't have the resources to finish the ideas they had for their IP. After having a lengthy conversation with my game history professor I came to a retaliation that Nintendo could be as crazy as a fox. I think they could be banking on the overwhelming tole that it's going to take to make PS4 and 720 games. Those 2 console are going to be more powerful but what if the games don't sell because they are broken and suck? Dreamcast anyone?

I have Come to the realisation that next gen consoles like the PS4 and 720 are going to be to expensive to develops for. With the time cycle developers have to Make games its going to make every game a flop. The production costs Are just To much and the payoff to little. Nintendo seems to be the only company that has prepared for this. I am just waiting to see how long it takes for developers to realise that it's less expensive to Make games for the wiiu.

Well the game turned out to be a flop and a lot of people were pissed. They might have shot them selves in the foot by releasing the game so far after the other versions. People know its was rushed and not was shown at game shows so understandably they are upset about it. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo had less interest in the game then before.

2K picked up WWE wrestling so I don't really understand why they didn't pick UFC up too. I don't really like EA right now because of there policy towards gamers right now. So this is just another game I won't be buying.

Lopezdm commented on Team Meat: We'd Work With Nintendo If Meat Boy...:

I have never played their games but from what I saw in their movie they made a good bit of money. Nintendo has been pretty good to the indy developer as far as I know so I have no idea why he seems so jaded. I do think meat boy would be kind of cool in Smash Bros. though. I have a game currenty in concept period right now and my small team has Nintendo in mind. Not excusive but it won't be on sony or micrsofts concoles. just apple, android, and nintendo.

I don't know about all that. The Lego series of games are funny and entertaining to play for a while but soon lose steam. I mean I'm sure it's a good game but there are more games already out with better game play and engrossing stories. If you are a Lego fan this statement could be true but as for me I will wait for Watchdogs.

No, it's about voting with your money. If you like being treated like a money cow that is your right. I will spend my money on game that are developed and produced by people that respect gamers. EA is huge example of this, they honestly don't care about the gamer and want you to part with your money in any way they can get it. For me Rayman has little to do with it.

Lopezdm commented on EA Plans For a Future With Micro-Transactions ...:

There has been talks about this a few years ago. The integration of Facebook and other social media sites in games is just a money making idea. What if Chris Redfield stopped to check his email before killing zombies? It would break the games story by bringing real life things into a factious world. This happened in the new Dead Space. You can just buy new guns if you want one. I don't like it in my android games and the apps that do have this are played for about 5 mins and then deleted. I hope this doesn't come to first person shooters. Players won't have to win with skill they can just buy wins.
