I like how in these sales posts we need 20 people reminding everyone that the PS4 is getting a price cut in some odd effort to downplay the fact that the Wii U outsold the PS4.

Everytime a Nintendo platfom gets outsold: doom and gloom
Everytime a Sony platform gets outsold: [Insert excuse here]

KryptoKrunch commented on Konami Denies That It Is Walking Away From AAA...:

Cancels Silent Hills(which had the potential to not only bring back the Silent Hill franchise, but to bring it back to it's glory which was SH 1-3) and removes the PT demo from PSN...

"We're still definitely working on console games and franchises such as Silent Hill."

Nice one Konami.

KryptoKrunch commented on The Smaller New Nintendo 3DS Model is Coming t...:

Folks like Jaxon and Flux don't come off as fanboys at all imo. They just seem to come off as a bit defensive sometimes because the crazy comments Jaxon pointed out above.

You get people complaining about how Nintendo doesn't release new IPs, the the same people turn around and dismiss and don't buy new IPs like Codename Steam and Splatoon. You have people bashing NoA for supposedly not publishing Devil's Third with comments like "OMG NoA too afraid too publish a M rated title!11!" But then those same folks, after learning that NoA will publish DT bash Nintendo again because "OMG why would publish a game that suxorz!11". I've also seen several more double standards like that but you get the point.

I don't think it has so much to do with being a Nintendo fanboy or hating anything negative. Obviously, Nintendo isn't perfect and they do make mistakes, but there's a certain level of negativity on here that gets out of hand and there will be people that speak out against it. I personally think that level of negativity is toxic and find the whole "Let me see if I can find something negative to pick out of this news" shtick is beyond tiring. Same goes for the double standards I was talking about.

KryptoKrunch commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Continues to Shift Its...:

I'm really enjoying the partnerships with Nintendo and the various indies. From the Nindies@Home to Shovel Knight amiibo. Not to mention the Humble Bundle which was the first HB on consoles/handhelds and it happened to be on Nintendo so that's pretty neat.

I'm really hoping we get more indie Amiibos. Not only does it make the Nintendo versions unique, but it also helps these indie characters shine popularity wise. It'll be neat seeing Shovel Knight amiibo sitting/hanging next to Mario and Link amiibo in stores.

KryptoKrunch commented on Rumour: XSEED Less Than Happy With Nintendo's ...:

I still don't believe NoA "changed their minds" on publishing it. People just jumped to conclusion and acted like NoA wasn't publishing since it came out in Europe and Japan first(just like Yoshi's WW). This lead to people like Unseen64 to post bogus rumors just because NoA didn't announce a release date(yet).

Now this just seems to be part 2 of the bogus rumor(so to speak). So someone on NeoGaf has "inside sources" similar to what Unseen64 had and is claiming a beef between NoA/Nintendo and XSeed. I could be wrong, but I just think this is just feeding off Unseen64's BS.

KryptoKrunch commented on Pokémon Brawler Pokkén Tournament Coming To ...:

Yeah, the double standards are real. Now people are slamming Nintendo for releasing Wii U games now... Why can't we just enjoy the Wii U games we have now and getting in the future and worry about the NX(whatever it is) later??

Whatever, too many people here are too desperate to squeeze something negative about Nintendo even if it's just them announcing an arcade port to their current console..

KryptoKrunch commented on First Impressions: Basking in the Glow of Atlu...:

Both look like pick-ups for me. I love strategy RPGs and regular JRPGs alike. Oh and yeah, Atlus is pretty awesome. I love the support they've been giving the 3DS whether it's their IPs like SMT or whether it's localizing another developers' work like these two.

Pretty decent lineup.

I voted for Yo-kay Watch, can't wait to finally play that one. Legend of Legacy looks great too. Zelda Tri-Force looks great as well, I just hope there's a single player option for that game. Kinda like how there was a single player for DSi Four Swords..

I'll get EOII whenever I get around to playing and finishing the first. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is a maybe. The MD games don't seem to bad pick-ups if you wait for a price drop.

KryptoKrunch commented on Rumour: Nintendo NX Won't Be As Powerful As Pl...:

If it's a handheld or some android Ouya thing like Peach64 suggested in the past, it would make sense that it wouldn't be as powerful as the PS4. Too many people are assuming that it's a console.. Also this could just be another false rumor. "Talking to the right people" means nothing.

KryptoKrunch commented on Veterans Of 3DS Title Xeodrifter Will Get The ...:

As Jayvir said, it really wasn't advertised that well here in the U.S. either. I mean, there is/was a banner for it in the eShop and when RK had it on sale it was showcased under the discounts tab...

It just seems to me that Europeans to like indies as much as we do.

KryptoKrunch commented on Nintendo Download: 25th June (North America):

I'm gonna have to pull the trigger on those SEGA 3D classics on sale. I already have Partners in Time and Star Fox on DS so I'll probably pass on those but both are great games. SF Command is such an underrated title, more people should give that one a go.

KryptoKrunch commented on Feature: The Biggest Wii U Retail Games of 201...:

Xenoblade X
Super Mario Maker
Star Fox Zero
Fatal Frame V
Yoshi WW
Devil's Third

Pretty much in that order, and I plan to buy all of these games. Pretty solid list for the rest of year. With these games, indie titles and not to mention my backlog, I still have plenty to play on Wii U.

KryptoKrunch commented on The Current State Of Virtual Reality Just Isn'...:

Gonna have to agree here. I know a lot of people are excited for VR now because Sony's doing it, but I can't see it taking off past a niche audience myself. The only VR game I'm interested in is the Walking Dead game and one game isn't going to push me into buying one. It just seems like VR will be a new gimmick that will fade very quickly. Playing multiplayer VR games sounds pretty terrible. Only one person can use the VR at a time while the other people are experiencing the game normally. Which isn't a bad thing but it just sounds like a mess.

KryptoKrunch commented on Take More Risks With Your eShop Purchases, Ple...:

I have no problem buying indies as long as they look cool and appeal to me. Part of the problem falls on Nintendo but part of the problem also falls on the people who like to dismiss indie titles for silly reasons.

Contrary to a few people, I actually avoid buying indie games on my Vita. The sales are nice and all, but the memory card prices are still outrageously high.
