Oh. One more thing. STOP WITH THE 3DS WANTS. Nintendo needs to make IP's for the wiiu. That is the whole point. No metroid or star fox for the 3ds unless they have a real console game lined up. I'm really sick of this 3DS whoring and i own one. I want more wiiu and I think everyone else does too.

I'm going to start with this: I read every comment and honestly, I am surprised at how terrible some of Nintendo's fan base is currently. At the very least every other Sony and Microsoft fanboy I've met is more into their own shallow arguments of why they are "better". 'We have live and halo and gears and a better CoD' 'well we have a free online, better hardware, more exclusives than you do.'
As Nintendo fans we should all be laughing at that. Even with the Wii all of us had better games, for the most part. I spent months. Years. Playing Zelda, metroid and smash. I spent a week with halo. The only games not Nintendo related that I spent a year plus on was battlefield and elder scrolls. Neither are Sony and Microsoft exclusives. We have a pedigree of depth and awesome yet half of you are so quick to jump ship WHEN YOU MADE IT THROUGH THE PAST 7 YEARS. The wiiu isn't as powerful as the ps4 but its not too far off either.
As far as this decision, I've read a few comments that hit the nail on the head. Use E3 for what it's supposed to be used for and who is there. Advertisement? At E3? Give me a break. I've heard more news at GameStop about the WiiU than what I would hear at E3. Do you know how many people read game informer? Nintendo showing the press exclusivity to their software....the same guys that write for sites and articles (like in game informer) that have millions of viewers? Catching people off guard after the new console shimmer is GENIUS. Any of you like the guy that said 'RIP Nintendo' and the idiot that agreed..well honestly we don't need you. You can't fix stupid. Nintendo isn't surrendering they are thinking. They don't need to compete. They need to sell. Remember, you can't buy Zelda, metroid, or other Nintendo exclusives on a Xbox or PlayStation. That is their biggest weapon.

I'm glad this is happening. I was never a huge SC fan but...yeah. I'll get it to support Nintendo.

Anyways, why get an Xbox when the ps4 will be better in every way? There's no point to buy a '720' when you have to factor in live cost and whatever game. I personally have no issue on dropping almost a grand on ps4 stuff. That's just me. I have the means to. And I truly believe Sony will be more worth it than that of micro-ripoff.

Whoa whoa...I've seen the wiiu push out some amazing looking visuals. It is obviously stronger than current gen. To say otherwise is idiotic. Now....if this is all true. I'm expecting the ps4 to run BF4 almost PC quality. Because thats how some people are making the gap out to be.

Um...no it is definitely NOT last gens tech. If that was the case then the possibility of games looking better on the wiiu than current gen wouldnt be there. Its a next gen (console) gpu with a modified cpu architecture. Honestly, its not that much weaker than the ps4 gpu than people are inclined to think considering the ps4 isnt that much stronger than the ps3. What kills me is the fact that the ps4's architecture is very similar to the wiiu's yet developers aren't saying anything about "oh its so hard to develop for etc." What nintendo needs to do is create a without a doubt BEAST of a system to get the entire industry on its side. I understand innovation. I love that. But maybe a longer lasting expensive system with an extensive library of its exclusives and a long list of 3rd party that of which 25% are decent is what nintendo needs. Its no longer elitist children they have to worry about. Its elitist developers.

One: 360 Hardware? Please. Its maybe one step lower than the ps4, graphically.
Two: I'm interested to see the age of half of you commenting. If you weren't old enough to play the SNES and coherently remember it, you shouldn't be commenting and create a facade of nintendo intelligence.
Three: Classified info is a biznitch isn't it? We have no idea what Nintendo has planned. Within ignorance comes speculation which in turn creates madness. However, history has shown that in the midst of chaos humanity has made the greatest strides. (Dumb version): back a beast like nintendo into a wall and you will regret it.

I don't get why this is even an issue.... Think about this: you make a product that you want people to enjoy. You take the time to optimize it, not needing to necessarily, for a new audience and take a risk doing so. Why....on God's green earth would you take money out of your pocket to make additions that you won't profit from? Developers, and yes EA as well, are people too.

Sounds pretty fair and sort of what i expected. However, my one issue is the resistive touchscreen deal. It seems that this game is the ONLY game where that has been an issue. Even with my gamepad ive never had a problem. So i wouldnt point the finger at the hardware.

@Savino whoa what? How is it mediocre? Its head and shoulders above 2 and i'd say the gameplay is better than 1. Ive gotten a couple hours in and ive had multiple OHSHIT moments. I disagree with mediocre its definitely above average.

When it comes to trash talk microsoft is the worst. Maybe not in sales or multiplatform games, which i contribute to developers being all over microsofts 'D' , the ps3 is the superior piece of hardware and superior in exclusives, content, and more for your money (psplus) deals. Sony can say what they want. I dont care. The PlayStation will always top microsoft.

One: no one knows what the WiiU can do.
Two: i've seen the devkits. They aren't impressive.
Three: this graphics argument is stupid because of the fact that no one knows anything about what the wiiu can push out and also what the xbox and ps4 will do. Don't be surprised if the ps4 is just a ps3 with upgrades that make it just at the wiiu or a tad more. Considering sony said they werent making it that much more powerful than the ps3. Microsoft is just shooting themselves in the foot. They barely get by with exclusives and call of duty. So thats what...4 franchises? Thats pitiful considering xbox users still pay for online. Nintendo will come out on top again.

@SimonB79 I'm sorry, what? "Proper" next gen? Have you seen the dev kits? I honestly have no idea why so many people say otherwise but the gap between the three systems is slim. Look at it this way, for multiplatform games the wiiu made a standard. Those will look very similar because developers won't want to waste money optimizing and reoptimizing. Thus comes down to the exclusives which is the real reason why we buy a system right? Those are up to the home developers. It doesn't matter what you put into a system. It's the developers capability at the end of the day. The WiiU won't be outmatched. It's a powerful system and that's the bottom line. That being said, i am also buying the ps4.

If i recall correctly they did announce somewhere that the trilogy is coming to the wiiu. Remember only ME3 was re-"calibrated" for it so itll take longer to do one and two.

Let the real first party games (yes mario has been run to the ground and unfairly overexposed) like zelda and metroid to really show next gen. Considering what ive read about the new LoZ nothing until that game comes out will push this system.

First off: the only difference i know of after following the two new consoles is going to be personal preference and entertainment qualities. Hardware so far doesn't have a noticeable output difference.
Second: as much as sales dictate this i would really like to see bigger titles not being remade for the 3ds. I think OoT was a mistake for the 3ds because of the fact that they wont remake it for the more powerful wiiu and give it the makeover it deserves. So MM for the 3ds would be fueling the fire for that mistake. Some will disagree but others will agree that the gamepad for MM would be great. (Or any other loz.)
BF4 and or bad company 3, EA all but said theyll release their games for the wiiu considering their optimism. Gearbox, and crytek included

After watching that documentary I will buy it. No matter what he guy has said in the past he put a lot of his life into that game. Thats enough to respect it.
