Korgoth commented on Cliff Bleszinski Likens The Wii To A "Virus":
The gathering of dust by any system bought by casual gamers is the norm. The only exceptional thing the Wii did was collect such a large following of casual gamers. That said, many of those casual gamers actually play their Wii's far more often, even over 2 months later, than any other system they may buy.

Korgoth commented on Update to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate To Bring O...:
I'm excited for the off screen play option only since that means my wife can enjoy the living room while I still enjoy Monster Hunter... might never stop now.
@Mk_II I agree that the demo feels funny. Mostly for me since I'm used to style 2 controls, but also the Wii Classic Controller had notches at the 8 primary angles to help you keep pressing the analog stick in the proper direction. Didin't realize how much I used them till they were taken away on a game I'm used to having them.

Korgoth commented on Review: F-Zero (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo):
I've grown soft over the years. F-Zero is too hard for me anymore.
Modern racers baby the player too much to prepare us for such brutal games as the SNES offered.

Korgoth commented on Ubisoft "Satisfied" With Wii U Launch, But Not...:
The funny thing is that despite the recent Rayman news, they are also teaming up with Nintendo to release a ZombiU bundle. If they had that on launch night I would have gladly gotten that bundle. Lots of mixed messages coming from Ubisoft relating to the Wii U.

Korgoth commented on Tiger Woods Is Skipping The Wii U This Year:
Meh, EA has lost my money when they started talking about console generations and the upcoming 4th gen. Here's a news flash guys, the 4th generation was the SNES and Genesis. We are starting gen 8 now.

Korgoth commented on Rockstar Has "Nothing New" To Report On Grand ...:
@Furealz PS4 may not come out that quickly after the announcement, but the 720 may. Microsoft doesn't do things like the rest of the industry. They released the 360 about 6 months after it was unveiled at E3 2006. Personally I think that rush may have been part of what lead to the RROD though, so perhaps they may learn from their mistakes.
Then again, last rumor I heard about the Oban chip they are using has a failure rate of over 90%.

Korgoth commented on Review: World Heroes 2 (Wii Virtual Console / ...:
My qualm with the World Heroes series is that it just simply lacks the depth of other Neo Geo fighters like Art of Fighting. It's a great way to introduce a new gamer to the fighting genre, but outside of that it doesn't really compare to some of it's siblings.
I first started playing many of the popular fighters of the early 90's, but never really got into fighters till really cutting my teeth on World Heroes.

@kelsey4884
You and I are on the same page. I am enjoying little inferno and ZombiU in the meantime though. Once MH3U comes, I may not have time for anything else.

Korgoth commented on Reggie: Virtual Console on Wii Isn't Dead:
I am waiting for the following:
1. Super Base Wars
2. Earthbound
3. Any of the Rare games (Battletoads, Banjo, Super Off-Road, etc)
4. Tiny Toon Adventures (1, 2, & Buster Busts Loose)
5. Any of the Capcom Disney games (especially Ducktales 1 or 2)
6. Double Dragon 2 and 3
7. Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 (perhaps connectivity with a 3DS remake of R,B,Y,G,&S)
Unrelated, another Eternal Darkenss game would make for a sweet 2012!
