Koos commented on Michael Pachter Doubts 3DS XL's Powers of Revival:

Like was explained before he is not reliable (analysts rarely are). The article also explains that he is an analyst for webbdush securities a financial services and investment firm. So I hope no one ludicrously claims this time that he is a journalist and not an analyst and therefore supposes to be more credible lol. Obviously he specifically discusses share prices and hypotheses of the FS. Vegas next.

@slapshot wrong. Capcom thought it was well I think they know better and what do you men big budgeted game? Not that big. Its a wii game and for Japan. It is the best selling MH ever in the west. PS2 had better install base and sold worse. It is a great achievement.

20 million 3D's systems already our there. Wow. THats impressive. 100 million wiis and 150 Ds Nintendo really manages to push hardware. Billion games for Wii and 3ds is pretty amazing too. Nintendo needs to push that 50 million number for 3ds hopefully it succeeds.

MH Tri actually sold very well in the west. Capcom said they were happy with the numbers. Vgchaetz though dunno if unreliable says 550,000 in NA. 1 million in Japan doubled to two worldwide. And there this here on the website. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2010/05/monster_hunter_3_a_roaring_sales_success_in_ukSo it makes perfect sense to release the next installments on wii u or 3ds in the west and apparently they are. Announcements soon they say.
Btw, the quote about insanity is actually misattributed to Einstein.

Japanese gaming will die off completely if Nintendo stops making hardware. Western juggernauts will develop the big budgeted stuff and stuff like Mario and Zelda will no longer stand out like Sega's franchises no longer do. Sony is doomed in and of itself. I think Nintendo will thrive. I have faith.

Yeah i hope that part was lost in translation or something because if something is dumbed down Nintendo should just stop releasing third party games on its platforms unless they contract not to be so stupid.

@TBD I must say that was remarkably cogent and astute. Thank you.

@Yogsoggoth yes but I would replace "maximize profits for investors" with "maximize profits for their own company through illegal insider trading tips" (this sometimes mean you say one thing and trade the opposite... market manipulation).

@youkoaoshi great analogy.

Lol what?!? There is a difference between an analyst recommending to invest in Enron and an an analyst recommending not to invest in nintendo (often he gives investment advice). Right. Yeah it'd like the difference between 2 exactly the same garbage collectors. I have no idea where you came up with that. Both talked about the business were in the business industry etc.. Lol. And that was hilarious LordOtakWiiU.

You're that naive? What do you think the qualifications of market analysts are? There is mostly amateur speculation among analysts. Its worse than reviews. And there is also a serious amount of corruption and totally discredibality. See analysts role in the Enron saga. That's the prevalent nature of the field. Pachter is so off the wall most of the times who knows what will happen.

Koos commented on Mass Effect 3 Extended Ending on Disc for Wii U:

No surprise from me 19Robb92. They can bring in comics for the choices or even include the originals as some kind of downliads. Or not. Its a video game. Think also about people who players one on pc or something else now they might switch for the extra control options

Koos commented on Iwata Explains Lack of Second Circle Pad on th...:

A Second analogue stick is pointless and useless. The 3ds has better options like the gyro and the stylus. Nintendo added the CPP for MH and if it has uses for other games as an accessory good. Definitely should not be integrated to the system.

Koos commented on Angry Birds Trilogy to Cost $29.99:

Ironucally The free Chrome version of the game is actually the best version of the game because of the use if the mouse. While stylus is better than the imorecise capacitive touch obviously its still too much. If anything this should have been in the Wii for 500 points from the beginning and used the pointer.

The console version is 40 dollars so I guess this is practically a steal on second thought. Forget the bridge in Brooklyn. I have some blue sky to offer.

Koos commented on Warren Spector Proud That Epic Mickey 'Polaris...:

@ PixelatedPixie . Thank you for emphasising the major problem of the game. Its not the platforming nor the camera. Its the running errands part. It feels like a game that was made for very small children before developers thought of how to make proper adventure games when there is real challenge. I feel the same way about Zack and wiki but that game is good more as a puzzle game that can be challenging. In here these parts are just completely for passing the time. I don't see what was the point to begin with and why he went there.

Koos commented on Warren Spector Proud That Epic Mickey 'Polaris...:

Because games have timing and Epic Mickey fitted the Wii controls and was at a good place. It was original and charming. Now it feels like a bastarized cash in. Like deblob 2.

I wish 3ds version will hit the eshop too... that looks like the better more interesting game I agree.

Probably will flop like deblob 2 did. Should have been a Wii U launch exclusive. I won't buy unless reviews are amazing or something.

Liked the first. Camera was good because you could control with the dpad actually but the pseudo childish Adventure parts where you fetched items to characters was terrible easy and tedious.

Koos commented on Angry Birds Trilogy Takes Aim at 3DS:

If angry birds sell for the same price as Zelda it will have zero sales. All angry birds including Space were free for android..for a reason. Zelda... even the GBC game is expensive on 3ds and still a top seller. So yeah makes a lot of sense.
