I know this sounds nitpicky, but why doesn't the 3DS have an alarm yet, while the DS and the DSi do? It's not a huge deal, I just don't understand why they would leave that out (coming from a guy without an alarm clock or phone).

Also, it's gonna be funny to see the oblivious people still driving off the bridge in Maka Wuhu and then realizing it doesn't work anymore. :) I can't wait for that.

Sounds awesome, but I'm usually not the type to bring my 3DS out into public, for a couple different reasons, one being I like to keep it protected at home, and the other being I don't like getting stared at. Might try it out at our local McDonald's bathroom though... ;)

@Bigrat Luckily the shoulder buttons work perfectly still, even after hours and hours of me and my brothers playing Oot 3D, street fighter, and SM3DL. I want MK7 so bad, but I fear that the shoulder buttons will fall apart after hours and hours of drifting. Still getting it though.

Can't wait to get this on Christmas!
@James I'm a little worried about the durability of the shoulder buttons on the 3DS, and with a game like MK7, they are used like crazy. How durable are they, and will they survive hours and hours of MK7 playing time? I just don't want them breaking on me like with my DSi.

Wow, I could not forget that puzzle in Phantom Hourglass. It stumped me long enough to realize I needed a walkthrough. Closing the DS was so simple, yet so complex. Great read Thomas. Brought back a lot of fond memories.

I have it preordered at GameStop! (albeit it's just the game; I figured I could just use the Wii Motion Plus add-on from Wii Sports Resort) Unfortunately, I can't pick it up until Monday :( Oh well, I can last one day...I think.

Resident Evil 4 and Windwaker are definitely my favorites on Gamecube. And yes, I totally agree that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best Wii game as of now (here's hoping Skyward Sword surpasses it!)

This is kind of a dumb question, but I'm assuming you can use the Wii Motion Plus add-on (like from Wii Sports Resort) to play this game instead of Wii Remote Plus? It's very hard to describe my excitement for Skyward Sword at this point. That's why I have it reserved! Can't wait!

Great review! No surprise though. It's a Mario game after all :)
Got it preordered at GameStop, but I won't be able to pick it up until Monday :( Sunday will be a very long day for me, knowing others are playing it and I'm not, but I think I'll survive.

Also, this probably means a review for Skyward Sword should be up within a week? I'm very satisfied right now.

I totally wasted my time with RE 5. I borrowed it from a friend over the summer for 20 bucks, and then I ended up breaking it, so my brother bought a new copy for another 60 bucks. We played through it, it was alright, but I still had to give the game back to my friend when the summer was over! 80 bucks for 3 months with an average game. RE 4 on GCN still remains my favorite RE of all time.

Don't forget there's a new Nintendo Show 3D! I guess they only have one episode on the first Thursday of each month, unlike Nintendo Week on the Wii, which has a new episode almost every week (hence the name). Nothing too interesting to download this week.

@24 Agreed. When it comes to a Mario game (2D or 3D), it's an automatic must have for me. No review or preview could convince me not to buy it.

While I usually agree with the reviews here at NintendoLife, I would have to strongly disagree with this one. This game had me hooked from the moment I started playing it; I couldn't stop! It is better in every way than its predecessor IMO (it was still a great game though). That just goes to show that different reviewers have different opinions, because the person that reviewed Paper Mario 64 gave it a 10/10, but noted that he still thinks the sequel is better, but still, this gets an 8.

Sounds like a great game, but probably won't pick it up since I'm covered with my brand new 3DS. I'm guessing this is probably the last worthwhile DS game to buy. Am I right?
