KeeperBvK commented on Reggie Fils-Aime Tackles Metroid Prime: Federa...:

@Operative "Federation Force, as confirmed by the director himself, is not focused on the exploration and isolation that Metroid is known for. It's focused on action and the ball game. So it's hardly an appropriate comparison, Reggie. Nice try, though."

It is a perfectly reasonable comparison. Your criticism is nothing but a nice try. All you're stating simply means that Federation Forces won't play like a standard Metroid game, but it says nothing about whether it's a good game or not.

@DESS-M-8 I hope you're not being serious. How can there only be one in existence, when you get your hands on two of each? They're just common Amiibos, nothing more.

@ the author of the article: Would you please stop this annoying "don't hate him" BS? It's like you're showing off your stuff desperately wanting people to feel like you've got something better than they do. Especially with something as mundane as a yarn yoshi. They're being released in Europe this week. Thousands and thousands of people will have one. But, ooh, yeah, they're gonna hate you.

"I offered up the understatement "Yes.","

Answering "yes" to a "yes or no" question is no understatement. Being asked whether you're good at Starfox and then replying "I've played it before" could be seen as an understatement.

@SetupDisk Urban Champion isn't that bad. It's actually a pretty clever game and fun at least for 20 minutes every now and then. People just love to jump on the hate waggon as they often do when somebody on the internet claims for something to be "the worst game everrrrrr!111!".

When will you guys finally learn?

"Projects like these never used to release on Nintendo systems"

Games don't release themselves. Games ARE released by companies.
It's really not that difficult and this is coming from someone whose first language isn't English.

For the love of God: It's bad enough when the comments are often riddled with the same easily-avoided mistakes over and over, but seeing even the reviewers sometimes unable to learn the simplest aspects of their very own language is just sad.

KeeperBvK commented on Xeodrifter Targeting 18th June Release in PAL ...:

@Legromancer "In Europe" doesn't necessarily mean "in all of Europe". Indie developers have complained about the high rating costs for Germany and already quite a few games have not been released in Germany without any remark on that matter. They were said to be released in Europe and they in fact were released in Europe. Just not in all of Europe; not in Germany. And a developer would probably never spoil their own announcement by publishing a news like "We're glad to tell you that our game XYZ is soon going to hit Europe! But not for you Germans. Sorry 'bout that.". They'd just keep silent on the matter.

@ThomasBW84 Has that really been confirmed? Glad to hear that then.

@manu0 It's not an "eventual" release. It's not going to happen. Such a release would offer nothing new besides a cheaper way of getting games curretnly already available on VC...so why on earth would Capcom do that and waste money on an additional release on something that makes them earn less? Spend money to earn less? Capcom's not the smartest company, but they're not THAT stupid.

KeeperBvK commented on Review: Blocky Bot (Wii U eShop):

@Kirby_Fan_DL3 What does Nintendo have to do with this game? This isn't part of Nintendo's approach to gaming. It's a game by an entirely different company. Nintendo had zero input on teh design. They just allowed for the game to appear on their console.

KeeperBvK commented on Nintendo Download: 28th May (North America):

@ThomasBW84 "This was the last in this RPG spin-off series to arrive on the Game Boy Advance, though it did then progress onto the DS."

This is wrong. ;) The entire series was on GBA. MMBN 5 and 6 thus were on GBA. MMBN 5 was the only one to appear on the DS and that one appeared on both GBA and DS. No "progressing" to DS at all.

Edit: I see. You already corrected that. :)
Edit 2: Oh, ChaosValentine was faster than me. :D

KeeperBvK commented on FullBlast is Bringing Some Shmup Action to the...:

Why this stupid, panned isometric view? Modern, amateur shooter developers apparently love this style, but it makes dodgingso much harder for no good reason. Reminds me of Nanostray, which isn't the biggest compliment I could make to a game.

KeeperBvK commented on Review: Nihilumbra (Wii U eShop):

You've got to be kidding me. Nihilumbra is nothing but a "me too" kind of game. It wants to be artistic, meaningful, philosophical, clever, but ends being just an utterly mediocre platformer with "been there, done that" kinds of mechanics and generic puzzles. the story also beings promisingly, but it simply goes nowhere. It repeats itself over and over and over.
It's not a bad game, but the very definition of a mediocre game worth 5 or at maximum 6 out of 10. Giving it a 9 undermines your entire rating system and devalues your scores.

"this solo effort from a skilled member of the Texas-based studio had utilised a third-party emulator"

How "skilled" can he be if he resorted to using an already available emulator programmed by someone else entirely? Sounds more like a lazy attempt that was rightfully shut down.

KeeperBvK commented on Ronimo Games Explains Pricing for Swords & Sol...:

@GLA Price reductions "screwed you over"? Wow, what a terrible way of thinking. You bought a game at a price you thought reasonable, you had fun with it and then others get it for less...and that somehow magically diminishes your fun with the game you bought for a price that was reasonable to you?
Screw that.

KeeperBvK commented on Nintendo Ditches Plans To Create New Hardware ...:

The real reason why they won't release the WiiU there is even simpler: People in China aren't interested in gaming consoles. Years ago you would at least see some people on the subways using their PSPs (mostly as book readers, though) and 25 years ago the Famicom was moderately successful, but those times are LONG gone. For at least 7 years now gaming is only done on PC and smartphones in China. The only places in China you will even find consoles for sale, only Western tourists or Westerners living there go there to buy something.
If Nintendo'd release the WiiU in China, nobody would give a damn about it.

KeeperBvK commented on Elliot Quest Patch Fixes Bugs and Graveyard Gl...:

How I love this kind of stuff: Nintendo fans always keep lamenting how games on other platforms are getting patched instead of being flawless out of the gate, yet when a game on a Nintendo platform needs grave bugs to be patched, it suddenly shows how much the developer cares.

Well, Mr. Know-it-all, most people in this very comment section actually said the same thing as you did or at least shared the sentiment. Actually aside from the news writer there doesn't seem to be ANYBODY here who thinks it should or could be taken down.
