It seems like Nintendo's strategy this year is to be a complete jerk towards US/European customers. The horrid delays (EU Brawl...), firmware updates for blocking Freeloader, complaints regarding online play etc... And now this?

Sony kinda tried the same thing by being a complete douche in the late 2006/early 2007, and it seems like Nintendo is slowly going the same way, for some reason. I mean, I'd love to go through the constant hassle of making space for other games by either deleting them or transferring them to an SD card which takes around five freaking minutes! Then, if I want to play a game I deleted earlier, I'm just going to have to either download it or copy it from the SD card, both of which take infuriatingly long.

Right now I mostly have VC titles but as soon as I start putting Wiiware games on my Wii, some stuff has to be deleted. Wake up, Nintendo! It isn't 1998 anymore. 512 mb will get filled up pretty quickly. Besides, what about the USB ports? Excluding the few times I've plugged my usb keyboard in for browsing, I've never used them for anything. Geez...

Meh, I wasn't too happy with this game. Ok, the action, that's already there, is all great fun. I made it to the second last mission, the array thingy. The fact that you can't save (even though it is a short game and can be beat really quickly) is a bit disappointing. Targeting is also way too sensitive and you'll just end up waving the cursor around at the vicinity of the enemies, hoping you'll get a weapons lock. Aside from Slippy analysing shields and others helping shoot some other ships, it seems like the other pilots are constantly helpless and can't shake one ship off their tail.

All in all, a good short game but could've done much better, even though this is the first time I've played it. More action, longer campaign and an ability to actually save your game is what it should've been about.

@PoisonRamune

All the voices in every Homestar Runner cartoon/short/whatever are done by Matt Chapman (except for Powered by The Cheat -animations, which are voiced by Mike, and obviously Marzipan, who is voiced by Missy Palmer). So is the case with this game. They even said in an interview that they prefer to record at home (where they do all their voice work for the website) instead of a recording studio.

I'm really looking forward to this WiiWare title - assuming it even gets released in EU. If it doesn' become available for PAL Wiis, then I'll get the PC version.

Oh man, this was SO difficult when I was a kid. Yes, it can be very challenging and a bit frustrating at times. Nevertheless, character controlling is very fluid (Yeah, there's no diagonal jumping, but that is just part of the challenge and the gameplay actually makes use of it) and the storytelling is superb.

Definitely worth 500 points.

GET THIS.

Unless you're a complete pathetic graphics snob and don't like the aged look, you will fall in love with this game. Even if the 1000 points for N64 titles is a bit too much, OoT is totally worth every bit of it!

I'd recommend getting Mega Man 2 before the first one. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, just a little rough around the edges. Plus, like in many other PAL games, the sound is slooowww, but don't let that bother you too much.

Cheating is pretty easy in this game and, much like in - say - ActRaiser, the score system is just obsolete. Why did so many developers have to stick score systems to every single game in the late 80's/early 90's? This isn't Pac-Man or Space Invaders! It's Mega Man, which means even if you've played platformers before, you're probably going to die. That means your score will reset.

Like I said, not a bad game, but I still recommend getting MM2 instead.

I read about the game being quite difficult, so I started playing in Beginner mode. In my opinion, it is a bit hard at first, but once you finish Filmore, it gets pretty easy on "Beginner". I also have to agree about the controls being a little stiff.

Nevertheless, ActRaiser's a pretty awesome game. Maybe not as deep as some titles but still worth it.
