Jonny commented on Shadow of the Eternals Developer Double-Dips W...:

Messy structure, I personally wasn't up for the original paypal crowdfunding because I dislike the idea of giving money for a target that may not be hit, which quickstarter thankfully goes around, but I can't see this approach working at all.

Jonny commented on ZombiU Developer Announces A Patch Is On The Way:

Zombies being able to attack me through walls, zombies without arms hitting me, being able to run through the shutter doors in a closing set piece near the safe house and worst of all - losing a survivor in the catacombs below Tower of London only to have him not regenerate as a zombie to get my stuff back despite restarting multiple times, so yeah a few things they can work on.

Oh, also door loading, I should not nearly die because a game takes forever to load the area beyond a door and I can't open it until it does.

Jonny commented on Iwata Implies That He Could Step Down Over Slu...:

No implication? Iwata has apologised repeatedly for the lacklustre launch of the wii u and now ABSOLUTELY commits to improving next year seems quite extreme to me, especially given the Japanese tradition of taking responsibility and throwing oneself on thy own sword if you have failed. I don't like it anymore than the rest of you but I agree with how Nintendolife read this.

And accusing NL of sensationalism? These guys are probably bigger Nintendo fanboys than most of you commenting, they didn't "spin" this story for the views, they did it because they read something into Iwata's comments and fear for the company's future. Just my two cents anyway

Jonny commented on Talking Point: To 3D or Not to 3D?:

What I'm more interested in: If the backlight is the source of the battery life being so low and the backlight is so intense to support the dimmed colours caused by the 3D, is it possible to give the battery life a good kick up the rear by turning off 3D and dimming the light?

Not that it makes much difference to me, my DS died last weekend which basically followed by me going "ah well, now I HAVE to get a 3ds" with a smile on my face

Jonny commented on E3 2010: Nintendo's 3DS line-up:

They should of unveiled all this at the conference, I thought they needed more games to sell the DS, especially since it's big selling point can't be shown over a projector screen

Jonny commented on Miles Edgeworth EU Release Date Announced:

I can't blame them, I imported every game after the first.

Definite day 1 buy for me, then I'm going to get nagged by everyone else to finish it quickly so they can play through it.

Jonny commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess...:

I agree with this score, while this game was solid there was nothing 'magic' that stood out, I daresay this is my least favourite 3d zelda yet for after completing it I have no desire to go back and replay it or even 100% it.

Jonny commented on Review: Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64):

I remember being annoyed no end at the fact I found it IMPOSSIBLE to get the banana in the fish where you had to shoot the gratings behind the moving fan as diddy, to this day that was the 1 banana keeping me from getting all 201.
When the best part of your game is 2 ancient arcade games you know you have a problem

Jonny commented on Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail:

While excitebots may not be out here I can honestly say that it doesn't appeal to me at all and for the life of me I dunno why. It just looks like a gimmicky racer and even the extremely positive reviews can't shake that nagging feeling.

Jonny commented on Talking Point: Is Nintendo Ignoring WiiWare?:

@Ness & Terranigma

Sin and Punishment 2 is being developed by Treasure, Punch Wii is being developed by Next Level Games (people who made mario strikers), Endless Ocean by Arika, Another Code R by Cing.

Everything else you listed is unconfirmed (although pikmin was heavily hinted, they said the same about Kid Icarius last year and nothing turned up at all), with people only assuming that they're coming, for all we know they're not. So once again - what the hell are nintendos teams doing? What happened to the old days when we'd be given glimpses of games a year or two in advance and savour the long wait til we got our hands on them.

Jonny commented on Talking Point: Is Nintendo Ignoring WiiWare?:

It's not just wiiware- nintendo is seemingly not producing any games at all these days. Other then wii sports resort or a bunch of GC remakes what are nintendo cooking up that we know about?

As for wiiware, while there is a lot of shovelware you'll find that with any console, as long as a truely good game (WOG, toki tori, MM9) comes along once in a while thats enough for me, though I am worried when the next great one will come along.

As for wiiware wish list, I'm still waiting on an online co op 4 swords remake, come on nintendo make it happen.

Jonny commented on Top 20 WiiWare Games in USA (3rd Dec):

Really makes me happy to keep seeing world of goo out there, as a game gets great reviews and the sales to match it, shows other companies that if they make a great game it will sell.

Sadly it appears good (8/10) games, are a much harder sell.
