It isn;t a bad game as such - multi-player is great fun, actually - but it is hardly cricket.
My son (14) has it and is enjoying playing it but after a few hours single play he had sussed out that the CPU never plays the ball behind the square (hmmmm.... is there baseball engine buried in here somewhere?), and that if you get the hang of swing and spin the CPU also has problems batting as well. On the other hand hitting sixes seems very easy once you get the hang of it. At the moment the fun of scoring 100-0 off six overs, then declaring and beating Australia by and innings does not seem to have palled... but it may do.
So in he end it depends what you want. If you want a simple and entertaining game then go for it. The scenery is quite pretty, you can bowl like Shane Warne, it never rains, and you can utterly humiliate the Australians like you would not believe! But if you ware wanting and realistic portrayal of the game of cricket, wait for the next game to come along (which, given the sales this seems to be having, won't be long!)..
