Aren't there flashcards for 3DS like "R4 3DS"? I know they only play NDS games but still.
As for the fact that people do this stuff, it's terrible. People should not steal their games and hurt the companies and people who made the games; it only makes sense to want your $40 in return for all the hard work and effort put into making the games. Game development is their LIFE, and their JOB. It's really sad that people steal games that took lots of time, effort, and many times love in the making. It's bad.
I'm really happy with the change they made. As my first Castlevania game after playing Rondo of Blood (both remake and original) and Symphony of the Night(Drac X Chronicles was my first CV game) Portrait of Ruin was really underwhelming. The cryptic crap was out of hand, half the enemy sprites were like 10 years old, as a Metroidvania it's not as great as SoTN, and MOST OF ALL, the final boss is a broken test of endurance to tedium and annoyance(my only motivation to beat it was that I'd get to play as Richter). Portrait of Ruin was a pretty good game, and I had fun playing it, but definitely my least favorite Castlevania game. Mirror of Fate is truly a breath of fresh air from that and takes its own unique identity among 2D Castlevania games and I really love it. Now, I haven't played any of the other DS Castlevanias(Dawn of Sorrow looks more fun than Portrait was) and am playing through Harmony of Dissonance for the first time on GBA(it is actually really awesome, I really like it ), and I get that the portable Metroidvanias are definitely good(some of them great) games, but Dave Cox I thank you and your team for getting portable Castlevania unstuck from the 90s. Mirror of Fate is wonderful.
I bought the Eshop version of Castlevania Mirror of Fate, thinking it'd be around the same size as Paper Mario's 5000-ish blocks. As it turns out, it was about 11000 D: I had to delete almost every downloaded game off my SD card. SO now I'm gonna buy a new SD card and redownload it all As for save data, most of the games I'd either not made much progress with or already beaten. Either way I have to start from scratch again in all of them
@The_Joker I did think about what I said, which is why I ended up deleting my comment(although apparently not before you could reply to it). I still most likely won't buy this game since I wasn't a fan of the console Arkham games(from the bits I've played of them, I can see why people like them a lot but I didn't prefer it) and at first I thought since it'd be 2.5D this game would be different enough for me to want to give it a go, as it turns out one of my biggest personal dislikes, that being the lack of jumping at will, that I had with the other games is still ending up in the 2.5D game. I also kind of feel like it will feel somewhat limited because of that, since it's a 2.5D game. It's purely a personal thing, but yes it is a game breaker. Maybe if this game drops down in price, otherwise I think I'll pass until then. Though, if they release a demo, I'd be thrilled if they pleasantly surprise me. Is that better?
I think watching the trailer for this game is much more beneficial than screenshots. The screenshots at first seemed meh to me but seeing the game in action actually got me pretty excited. Looks like an awesome game.
I really enjoyed Crimson Shroud, so yeah I'm pretty excited for this next wave of Guild games. Bugs vs Tanks! sounds like fun. ALso I need to try Liberation Maiden from the Guild 01 titles...
I haven't even played a Pokemon game that came out later than Heartgold/Soulsilver and never played Diamond/Pearl, but this is stupid because isn't the ANTAGONIST of most Pokemon games an abusive trainer that you stop by showing love and friendship to your Pokemon that like you?
Plus, PETA's just getting irritating with all these jabs at Nintendo.
My favorite Castlevania game is Dracula X Chronicles for PSP, and I'm now really really excited for this game because while I found SOTN and later Portrait of Ruin fun, Rondo is still my favorite by far and I really like the linear Castlevanias. Hopefully by "branching paths" they mean something like Rondo of Blood (I've never played III)
@shonenjump86 No, not really. It uses the same pre-rendered 3D graphics style(kinda) but it's a 2D sonic platformer. Many say it's not that good, but I think it's alright and will get it. Hope that helps
@Koto Yeah I'm experiencing that now too. I dunno, maybe it was just fast on Launch day, because after that the online indeed lags. Oh well. :/ Sorry for the misunderstanding.
@Retro_on_theGo I bought the game today, and really it deserves closer to an 8. The "quick battle" mode is basically your normal Arcade mode but minus the cutscenes, which I DID like a lot from other Tekkens but we have an hour+ long cutscene included with the game. I haven't tried special survival yet, but it seems like it'll be a real challenge as you fight more survival rounds. The graphics are amazingly close to the console Tekken 6(you have to see it ON the 3DS), and the game runs silky smooth and the controls are all great even in 3D. It's the core fighting and graphics that really matter, especially especially the fighting and gameplay, and those factors are there and represented amazingly. All 41 Tekken 6 characters, amazing graphics, incredibly smooth gameplay, and all the moves from Tekken 6 if I'm not mistaken. Add a movie, and what's missing? Cutscenes. Are these things really so important that it'd make people not buy a game?
PLEASE Pick this up, and tell me how all of what I just said sounds to you
NOTE: The online is pretty laggy. Then again, so is SSFIV 3D's and even the console versions of Tekken 6. Oh well :/
I have a question: While this is more a stand-alone game than anything, in terms of the moves is it closer to a port of Tekken 6(besides young Heihachi) or are the movesets updated to Tag Tournament 2? As an example can Kazuya undergo Devil transformation?

Please excuse my awful grammar/sentence structure. I attribute it to writing a rant/explanation late at night.
