I understand exactly what you mean. The point I was trying to get across is that even though people think Capcom just picked up a fangame and put their name on it, that's not the case. They actually helped make the final product, and they didn't want to take credit away from the guy who developed the game.

From what I've read, the direction and production has been overseen by Capcom, as well as the funding. I don't understand why people are claiming all that they did was slap their company name on a fan game. The game's developer approached Capcom about it, and they took up the project. It was kept on PC so that fans wouldn't have to pay money for it.
