Nintendo are the stingiest company going when it comes to pricing things and it people selling used games take advantage of that. Even theirs sales are pathetic.

I would have liked a virtual console sale though.

@Xenocity Nintendo may not spend as much as so called "AAA" titles but their stuff mostly is a lot more fun than what Activision/EA pit out AND they're but bug ridden. To me a AAA game is something like Mario 3D World or Zelda and Star Fox certainly fits in there considering the time and effort Nintendo puts in there. Any other publisher would have farted it out to meet the deadline, Nintendo would rather it's developers vision comes through.

@Folkloner Honestly I've been happy with Nintendo's out put for the rest of the year. Yoshis Wooly World was a big suprise being quite varied in gameplay and longer than expected, just finished Project Zero, Mario Maker is still getting many hours, there's various eShop titles keeping me busy AND Xenoblade CX is weeks away. A nice variety if titles that have actually kept me away from gaming on PC despite that having some big hitters of late.

Their games don't sell on Nintendo consoles. Simple as that. We own Nintendos for Nintendo games, we have second platforms for 3rd party games, I accepted this with the N64. I wish it was different but that's life.

@Minotaurgamer Both GC Pikmin games sold over 1 million copies each on a single console that was my doing very well. Hardly a failure for such a niche title.

Pikmin 3 though, sure it's on a console that's doing worse than the GC but still it should have done better. I can't find any concrete lifetime sales (and I don't trust Vgchartz) but 2013 it was only around 200k for Worldwide sales which is poor.

To be honest I'm much happier with how things are than they were years ago. I've found NoE to be more in tune with its area than NoA. Without them we probably wouldn't have Xenoblade, Last Story, Pandoras NoA had no intention of even touching until NoE did most of the translation work.

Sure there were a few games since the Wii era that the US had but we didn't but nothing on the level of say Earthbound. I can't say my heart aches for Excitebots...but on the whole since the Wii U and 3DS have hit has there been any Nintendo published titles that we've actually yet to have and there aren't release dates for?

Yes we could do with release dates to be more in sync but if it means better, far more faithful localisations than I'll lump the delays.

As for Project Zero...I have no idea why it's called that hear. I was talking about it to a colleague who hadn't heard of it at all and then she said it sounded a lot like this new Fatal Frame game she heard of...I know past games were called PZ but us fans know what it is whereas others dont so the name can do with being the same internationally.

Hardly anyone seems that bothered about GH Live, I still think a return for the franchise is too soon. As for it flopping badly on Wii U, well I've hardly seen it anywhere! It takes up far too much shelf space and Disney 2.0/Skylanders/ Lego Dimensions/Amiibos are far more important to retailers...all of which take huge amounts if space, shit I've seen Skylanders Wii around more than even the Xbone GH!

hadrian commented on The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Launches...:

It's such a meh release for me, seems more like an additional mode or a downloadable title so no doubt it won't be as much of a hit as the other 3DS titles. Four Swords Adventures worked so damn well (even single player) and its a shame they couldn't do a sequel to that.

hadrian commented on Feature: The Making Of Eternal Darkness: Sanit...:

Never got into the game myself, there was a vid by HVGN which was spot on about what I didn't like (mainly combat) but it was kinda nice to have something like this in the GC back in the day. Hope that spiritual sequel never gets off the ground as the developer became awful after MGS and the boss is a total prick who mismanaged all the millions in hands out he got.

hadrian commented on Sega: Recent Sonic Games Haven't Been "Accepta...:

They should bring platforming back to the games...actually platforming just like in the original MD/CD games. They tried doing 2D titles on DS and also Sonic 4 but essentially they were was just pressing one direction and jumping sometimes which completely misses the point. Yes, he was fast but they made him too fast and now the games are either poorly made 3D games or ones thstvare more like endless runners.

hadrian commented on Aonuma Talks the Legend of Zelda's 30th Annive...:

I want them to take as long as possible, even if it skips Wii U. I just want a worthwhile Zelda title, I haven't been inclined to finish any since Wind Waker, sure there's fans of the games but everything after WW has been a huge slog for me, only playing because I've spent the cash and I want my money's worth.

hadrian commented on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

I loved this game on the Amiga and NES but now I dont, its aged badly! Manhatten Project, Hypstone Heist, Turtles In Time and Tournement Fighters were a lot better. TMNT Movie GBA is pretty good beat em up unlike the other recent games.

hadrian commented on Europe VC Releases - 5th April - Megadrive Trio:

Story of Thor is a fantastic game as is Vectorman, Sonic Pinball I've never liked and never saw its appeal.

Already got Vectorman on Sonic Collection but ...Thor is one of the best MD games ever so thats mine
