@ xdemon720x & "Really? An 8 for yet another Sudoku game bombarding DSiWare?"
It seems you didn't reed the review...

@ #42 Atomic Wii Man & "Is RUNNER 800 points in America too?"
Yes.

Gizmo commented on Nintendo Download: 10th May 2010 (North America):
Ah, Photo Dojo... Way too overrated on Nintndolife. I'm really, really disappointed of it. Why can't you play with two DSi against each other? It would be so much more comfortable. Or why can't you transfer the photos between two DSi? It is also too simple. For me at most a 5/10 game.

Gizmo commented on Review: Game & Watch Donkey Kong Jr. (DSiWare):
I find the score is a bit high. For me the game is more a 6, and again it seems that many reviewers judges the 'Game & Watch' titles because of the memories, and not because of the gameplay.
#5
Gizmo commented on Review: Game & Watch Helmet (DSiWare):
Fair score. To me this review seems to be one of the few Game & Watch reviews on Nintendolife (, if not the only one,) which scores the game just out of the gameplay, and not because of some great memories...

Gizmo commented on Review: Game & Watch Vermin (DSiWare):
For me Vermin is at most a 5/10 game. It is way too easy (even on Mode B), nothing special and because of that just boring to play =(.
#7
Gizmo commented on Review: Mega Man 4 (Virtual Console / NES):
From me MM4 would get a 9/10, it is just another great game of the series.
(Nintendolife still needs the possibility to give user scores =(.)

Gizmo commented on Nintendo Download: 16th April 2010 (Europe):
Wohoo, Mega Man 4! I can't understand how somebody could call this game the worst in the series. Why? It's another great Mega Man game.

Gizmo commented on AiRace:
A question to those who have 'Airace' & 'Airace - Tunnel': Is the complete "Airace: Tunnel" game in this one?
Thanks in advance for an answer =).
#10
Gizmo commented on Review: Mega Man 10 (WiiWare):
I would give the game an 8, because for me it isn't as good as MM9 was.
#11
Gizmo commented on Review: Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64):
@ andrewschuman88 (#82): "both Nintendo and Microsoft have holds on DK64 so it can't be re-released"
This is wrong. Only Nintendo has the rights to release the game, so it's just a matter of time to see DK 64 on the Virtual Console.
#12
Gizmo commented on Review: Animal Crossing (GameCube):
I would give it at least an 8, too. It's just a very, very fun game.
#13
Gizmo commented on Review: Zombie Panic in Wonderland (WiiWare):
@ V8 Ninja (#1): "You'd think something that combined Time Crisis (the time limit) and Sin & Punishment (gameplay-wise) would come out as a winner, but I guess it comes out as above average."
Above average would be a 6, not a 7
.

Gizmo commented on Review: Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS):
For me 'Portrait of Ruin' is at least as good as the previous game and definitively deserve a 9/10.

Gizmo commented on New Jett Rocket Shots Blast Off:
One word: awesome. I think this will be a must buy for me, even if the gameplay would only be half as good as the graphics.
#19
Gizmo commented on Review: Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon (DS...:
For me the score is too low, too. I think this game deserves at least an 8, especially because the table is so perfect designed.
#20
Gizmo commented on Review: Ironclad (Virtual Console / Neo Geo):
After some playing, I cannot (yet?) agree with the review/score. The presentation is very good, no question, but for me the gameplay is just mediocre =(.
#21
Gizmo commented on Review: Bit.Trip Void (WiiWare):
For me Bit.Trip Void is the worst of the series so far. I don't like the music as much as the music from the first two games. Also I find Void too easy. I played through Level 1 & 2 without "dying", so my overall playtime was much lower than with Core and Beat.
#22
Gizmo commented on Shin'en Introduce Jett Rocket for WiiWare:
I agree, this look absolutely awesome!
#23
Gizmo commented on Review: Zoo Frenzy (DSiWare):
What's so wrong with WaltzElfs opinion? I agree with him that the responcibility of a game review is to critique, not describe.
#24
Gizmo commented on Review: Spotto! (DSiWare):
The review doesn't mention the hard mode after completing the story mode, where the old stages have to be managed in a more difficult way.
I would give the game an 8.
#25
Gizmo commented on Review: Flipper (DSiWare):
@ HugoSmits: Do you know if there is already a European release date?
Thanks in advance for an answer =).

Either way: WOHOO!

Gizmo commented on Review: Flipper (DSiWare):
I think I will buy it as soon as it hits Europe =).
#28
Gizmo commented on Review: Blaster Master: Overdrive (WiiWare):
Mmh, besides Cheat Code Central also GameTrailers.com gave the game an average score (4.8). Too bad, and I hoped that apart from Nintendolife this game would get good scores, too.
So my desire to buy is alas not high anymore =(.

Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
@ oldkid: "So, why on earth anyone who still have to play Ace Attorney should not welcome this series for the gem it is?"
It is not so that the game isn't welcome, it is just how the game was released. Was it really so hard (for this high price) not to make the game better?
It is simply incomprehensible, and this is what the score implies.

Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
@ "So if Capcom had managed to port this to the SNES emulator on VC the result would have been acceptable. But since it's on wiiware, it's not acceptable anymore?"
Right =). A VC game stands for originality, and you want a VC game to be the original one. For a WiiWare game you simple can and have to expect more.
@ "And if they had released it on VC, they couldn't have add the fifth case in the first game since VC doesn't support DLC in any way."
But it would be cheaper
. (If there would be an english version, of course^^.)
#31
Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
@ oldkid: "Well, what Capcom should have done?"
Are you serious about that?
For example they could have give the game at least a graphical overhaul. The actual game is just pure laziness, deserve the 3 points drop, and is for a port and WiiWare game relativ expensive, too.
(Remember, a SNES game, which you can compare to a GBA game, costs 800 points.)
#32
Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
@ oldkid: The difference is: There was a lot of work in the games you numerated, which you cannot say about Phonix Wright...
@ SKTTR: 1000 points for a lazy port of a port isn't cheap...
#33
Gizmo commented on Review: Art of Balance (WiiWare):
Of course you have to take into account that a WiiWare title is a download game and much cheaper than a retail one, anything else would make no sense and would be unfair, too. Also that doesn't mean that a game with a 9 doesn't deserve it.
#34
Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
You can't compare Golden Sun to Phoenix Wright. The latter was already like a port, while GS was in view of the presentation a AAA-title.
#35
Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice...:
A lazy port deserves such a score.
#36
Gizmo commented on Review: Art of Balance (WiiWare):
@ PhoenixRising: If you look at other reviews of World of Goo and Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy: RUSH you should notice that these games are generally highly regarded, not only on Nintendolife...
Maybe your taste is just a bit different.
@ Manfred: Too bad, but thanks for the answer.

Awesome! Day 1 download for me =).
@ Manfred: Is there a release date for Europe?
#38
Gizmo commented on Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (WiiWare):
If you look at other reviews you see that Nintendolife is not the only one who gave the game a low score. Many are annoyed at the graphical realization.

Art of Balance looks interesting.

Gizmo commented on Japanese Virtual Console list - February 2010:
I also don't understand why MM4 should be worse than 5 and 6. For me it is still a very good game.

@ Corbie: Why do you gave the game back in 2005 a 6.5/10, and now a 9?

It is btw. very strange, that the original site isn't available since the comment of rayword45 (11.) (http://retro.nintendolife.com/reviews/2009/12/earthbound_retro#comment356701)...
You wrote in the review linked:
I've seen this game rated as highly as a 9.9 on some reviews on the net, and that I just can't understand. I mean, sure the storyline of this game is extremely funny and refreshing, but other than that, the game is just way too plain when it comes to graphics, music, and even gameplay. To me the game relies too heavily on the gimmicky style of the story and puts way too much emphasis on cracking jokes and being silly when it should have put more emphasis on the gameplay. My recommendation is that if you like rpgs, give this game a try. But be forewarned, this game is more of a novelty and should not be bought with the impression that it's going to offer a serious gameplay experience that many fans of more serious titles like Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger have come to expect from an rpg. This game is good for what it is. A light-hearted parody that's more funny than it is fun.
