Have to agree with the review 100% even though I don't want to. I got this as a gift for Christmas and I am still disappointed over it, don't get me wrong all the games are great and will always love them as they brought me so much joy over the years but more should have been included and to leave out Super Mario World is unforgivable., and the 50hz thing just should not happen anymore it's just downright laziness

I can't believe the low score 1942 got, God I loved this in the arcades back in the day, very addictive and challenging, I prefer 1942 to many of the sequels as although they were great I found them a bit too easy. As mentioned above 800pts is way too expensive though.

@she_gamer
Who said anything about bragging about not using youtube or the game guide, I was merely agreeing with machu about having to complete games to 100% to see the ending as I too like games to give me a challenge. This is only my opinion mind you and I have nothing against people who want to use guides just dont expect me to feel sorry for others who find games too tough.
By all means put these guides in if it proves games are made more challenging as long as it doesn't cost too much and add to production time.

This game is amazing for any golf fan, the motion plus controls work great too, it makes it feel like a real game of golf for a change with the advanced swing method really punshing any errors. I got this on release and have found it really addictive, Highly recommend it even to non golfers as there is a good party mode and the disc golf is great too.

@mickeymac
I wouldn't really agree with you there while the N64 version and gamecube version are quite similar there is a different feel to the N64 version. It feels more like an everybody's/Hotshots golf game from the past and is certainly a lot harder than the cube version.
I have the cube version and have just downloaded the N64 one and I am very happy with both, having said that I love golf games and always liked the everybody's golf series so I was delighted to see the N64 version played like that, the graphics may be better with the cube version which you would expect to be fair but I find the course layout in the 64 version far superior.
Definately worth a download even if you have the origanal and like golf games in my opinion and a bargain for 1000 points.

Happy enough with this update its great to see mario golf finally arrive, I'll download this for sure even though I got the rom a few weeks back out of frustration of having to wait so long.
@supbilly
Good call for captain silver that was a great game, Is the console version as hard as the arcade one? that was rock hard!

Terrible update, whats the story with the delay bringing mario golf to euro vc, I notice we're not kept waiting too long for crap like booger man and enduro racer to make it over.
I've had enough of waiting around for a game that has been out months in other regions I am going to download the rom, I didn't want to do this as I wanted to pay my money fair and square like a lot of others on here, but clearly Nintendo doesn't want my money.
Rant Over.

Hard to argue with betagam7 guys he speaks unbiased truth there.
I wonder how many of the games on mega drive compilation coming out in the new year on 360 and PS3 that haven't been released on VC yet will make it onto the VC in the coming weeks to cash in.

It should be interesting on here if the christmas release is another bad offering, i mean if they don't sort it for christmas they never will.

Hopefully there will be something decent out for christmas to keep everyone happy.
It would be great to wake up on christmas morning to find a message on your wii for a 500 point download as a gift, I mean it wouldn't cost all that much and would be a nice personal touch from Nintendo to show the fans they really do care.

I know what your saying bass its pretty bad at the moment with one game weeks and all the complaints that follow.
It would be nice to see a few more snes games I can't believe there's nearly double the amount of mega drive titles on v.c compared to snes.

@bass
I see your point but if you had them all to choose from you wouldn't care about no games every week because you'd have them at your disposal there and then.
I know this will never happen but it would be nice to have a set up like i tunes or something.

I can never understand the need to "space things out for marketing reasons" after all variety is the spice of life and releasing everything at once onto a huge library would be best for everyone, im no marketing genious but i know what i'd prefer and they would still make their money.
People will download titles if there available and that way your catering for everybody's tastes. I'd love to see the download figures for the likes of enduro racer to see if this strategy paid off because to me they seem to be just pissing off loyal fans who love V.C week after week by releasing crap titles one at a time.

Awful update for you guys,
the vc seems to be getting worse treatment by the week they better improve the service over christmas as a lot of people are not impressed.

@Bass
Your best off not expecting anything that way you wont be sad, I notice from your past comments your a big S.O.M fan and have been waiting patiently for it, I share your pain I have no particular interest in mana but have been waiting for mario golf since day one, what makes it worse its been out ages in other regions and when it's not released it's an even bigger disappointment knowing it's another 2 week wait living in hope, I've given up on expecting it this year and I would say this week will be sonic 2 and boogerman just to make it worse.

All time classic arcade game, I haven't played the NES version but have the arcade ports on Capcom generations PS1 and Capcom classics on xbox(not backward compatable with 360 which bugs me)

Yeah, your dead right there perhaps a re-think of prices for certain games is in order, 500 for the good ones that are genuinely worth it and 100-200 for the crap. This would come in handy for spending leftover points, the only problem is each to there own and all that, some people will dissagree on what is exactly worth it and what is crap so i suppose you cant win.

@betagam7
Point taken re price of games,
I just rememer buying games years ago they all seemed to be around the £2.99 mark I was obviously buying budget titles.
The way you put it mayhem is obviously well worth the 500 points but i dont think the same could be said about a lot of the c64 titles already on vc.

some of the c64 games take me back it was great back in those days, i wonder if the dizzy games will make an appearance, still 500 points is a bit steep when original tapes in the day were £2.99
