csad commented on Review: Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (3DS):

@Mason Unfortunately, playing 999 is almost essential to fully enjoying Zero Escape. By itself, the game may be only be a 8/10, but with the full story from 999, it is easily a 9/10 or 10/10. Reviewing this game without playing the prequel is like reviewing the second book in a series without reading the first. It really does not do the game justice. Otherwise, the review is excellent.

This game is actually one of the least linear games in the series. With the right skills, Ridley can be fought before Kraid, almost every power-up in the game can be avoided, and the entire game experience changes. The best part is that the designers purposely made it so you can never get stuck while going out of order.

@6 I think he was was pointing out that the article says in one spot that Bass mode is 200 points, and in another spot it says it is 100.

csad commented on Nintendo to Publish Dragon Quest IX in North A...:

@Supermegaman - I would really try playing through V, even if you thought IV was generic. Dragon Quest V is a much more satisfying game than IV. The party talk feature in V is awesome. It makes the characters much more human, and more interesting overall. It also helps the overall story in V was much better.

@g-silent007, If you were answering my question, I actually wanted to know the reverse. Can the Retro Duo controllers be used on the SNES? Since I only have one working SNES controller, it might be nice to have an extra controller if I find a game that doesn't work on the Retro Duo.
