I'm agreeing with Tyler_100, just because you can use this to easily pirate games doesn't mean its a bad thing. it's like saying that owning a DVD burner makes you a pirate. Having backups of the discs you legally bought is OK.

I wouldn't think that there would be a problem for Nintendo to allow any HDD to be attached to the Wii. They currently let you attach any SD card you want and most wireless keyboards work with it. So there should be no problem.

Maybe its a hint of a possible firmware update allowing you to use the SD card slot as active memory, instead of just storage.
